CHAPTER 15: TROUBLE IN CAMP, PART 2!

She looked a little more serious as she watched me for a few seconds before finally telling me what the compint was.

“It is a compint about your actions on your first mission with the Marines. PFC Silvertree compined that your team panicked, broke ranks and rushed the pnet leaving behind the spitfire team leading to the death of the entire team. Normally this would be a fair compint as you should have had a full team of spitfires covering your approach and been trained to not break formation with them. However, it was your first mission, and you had not been given any training for that situation yet, and the missions that followed had to be performed without a spitfire team covering you. So, I filed a punishment on the compint, stating I have ordered your team to complete a proper training exercise that will teach the star hawks proper protocols and formations in their own time.”

She gave me a stern look for a few seconds before grinning and continuing her speech.

“Now I could have dismissed that compint as well if you had filed a compint of your own upon your return from that mission stating the molten hounds failed to supply adequate protection for your team. However, since you have not done that, and I have reviewed the footage of that engagement I have decided to attach the footage to the compint so that any potential recruiter viewing your file can clearly see your skill during the first mission of a week two boot camp and know without a doubt that it was a failure in the spitfire team and not a failure of the drop pilots. I have also taken the liberty to decide that PFC Silvertree has become a hostile pilot towards your team and most likely will not be able to provide adequate defence for your team on her own, so I have decred her a washout and she will be rejoining the rest of her team to try again at the next boot camp training program aboard this server. As for your defence, I have assigned the Sergeants overseeing the spitfire teams training to enter missions with the star hawks. They will be more than adequate for the job, so make sure to impress. ”

She gave me a knowing look for a few seconds before letting out a sigh and continued talking

“Now that's dealt with, I am going to continue onto the part that scares the living crap out of me. And should terrify you. In this universe we inhabit there are a lot of cns, a staggering amount of them, but there are a little over one hundred that are known as the three core worlds and those that surround them. Alright, let me give you a little backstory on this so you can fully understand the gravity of what I'm going to tell you. First, we have the elf cn which is the most powerful cn at this time, they hold the position of the first core world and are known as the Celestial King Dawntree cn. The second core world pce is held by a powerful cn that seems to focus on engineering. They are the Dwarf cn known as the Celestial King Steenvil cn, and yes, we do have a Steenvil in the engineering program right now. The st core world is held by us humans, though do not let that fool you into thinking their cn will even acknowledge you exist, let alone lift a finger for you. They are known as the Celestial King Olympus cn.”

I felt my jaw drop open as I stared at her. ‘Olympus like in the Greek fricken gods, that Olympus?’ I couldn't help thinking as I struggled to collect myself enough to listen to what she was saying now.

“-are not exactly surrounding as they are more all over the pce but have enough territory to achieve their cn ranks. So, after our three core worlds, we have our nine Celestial Dukes who are referred to as the inner worlds. After the nine terrifying cns that might be able to take on one of the core worlds if and only if they all banded together and actually worked together without any backstabbing or betrayal. We have the twenty-seven Celestial Marquess who make up what we call the outer worlds. And then after them are the rim worlds, which are made up of eighty-one Celestial Counts. If you were to ask me about anyone after them, I would have to say no one would care to remember or bel them, as they are simply known as backwater cns after that. If you are not from one of these one-hundred-and-twenty cns, then you are backwater trash. That is the way it works. Now fun little fact, most of our orders come from these Celestial counts. The cns higher than them have their own armies that are way bigger than the Gactic Federation Alliance. The Marquess is triple the size of our army, and the dukes are triple the size of them. So, if you or I were to irk even slightly a member of one of those Celestial Counts’ cn members then they have the power to send a GFA carrier ship into our home sor system and destroy every pnet there until only stardust is left, they might even snuff out the sun for good measure.”

She nodded at me and gave me a few minutes to come to grips with the immense power she was talking about before she decided I was ready for the killing blow.

“Picture that kind of power, that the Celestial Counts wield and how scary it is for me to even brush up against it, and then imagine how I felt when I received a message from Cn Leader Celestial Duke Arthur Cilterian him fucking self!”

I felt it, I felt my face drain of all blood instantly.

“You can rex and stop having a panic attack or whatever that face is about. While the message was about you, it was not a compint for you. Celestial Duke Arthur Cilterian has a son, and his son is a void officer like myself. Interestingly enough he commands the ptoon of marines your squad had been training with for the st week, and they held all their compints until they were no longer assigned to this server before submitting them all at the same time to their commanding officer who happened to be enjoying dinner with his father on their home world when he received them. To say he was irked would be the understatement of the century. It caused him to do an audit of this server, and they went through everything with a very fine tooth comb. It has led to many changes, for instance, my predecessors’ demotion and transfer for allowing so much of the shit going on to pass by unnoticed or punished. It turns out among a great deal of other things he was allowing one Sergeant Eloana Twiddles a great deal of free rein in the way she trained pilots including but not limited to the training mode in which your squad was experiencing. Turns out it was set to realistic mode from the very beginning. Your handling of that has impressed not only the marine squad but now also the Celestial Duke and his son. Therefore, under all of their strong recommendations, I am reappointing you as team leader of the Star Hawks and leave you with one decision. Would you like to complete the st half of your training in the basic mode it was meant to be in, or would you like to continue in realistic mode and be the first team to complete realistic Boot Camp?”
