"AAAAAH!" the grunt screamed in pain after his legs were broken but I ig as I had Tank him up in string shot silk from the chest down. "Was that really necessary? Not to say that I'm not grateful for your rescue but this is rather excessive isn't it?" the Devon employee said with as he looked at the screaming grunt. "I'm a healer so I be a little rougher than o ehe criminal doesn't escape." I said with a reassuring smile. The man sighed in relief "What a relief! Again I 't thank you enough for the help!" he said gratefully.-

  "Here , this 't pare to the value of my papers but it's the least I give you for your help!" the man said while handing over a pokeball with a blue aop , a great ball. "Do you want an escort out of the woods or do you think you ha from here while I take this oo the officer?" I asked and the man shook his head. "I never did find a Shroomish so I think I'll stay a bit longer , thank you for your help though!" the man said with a grateful smile.-

  I nodded before walking over to the screaming grunt and healing his legs back to normal before tossing him over my shoulder like a sack of potatoes. "Oi! Lemme go you bastard! Just you wait nobody crosses team aqua you'll see!" the grunt yelled while squirming but I ig. Thankfully we were pretty close to the edge of the forest so it didn't take me long to reach the ly fttened dirt road that led to Rustboro. There were a whole bunch of rainers on the side of the road battling or looking food oppo.-

  Nearly all of them saw my team and immediately noped out of my way after reizing the vast pap betweeeams and mine. I ighe stares I was getting and found the officer or rather they found me. Someone had used their pokenav to inform the police what they saw so an officer was sent out to iigate. "What's going on here!?" the jenny yelled from the Dodrio she was riding on. "This guy is a member of the criminal group known as team aqua and tried to rob a member of the Devon corp in the woods before I captured him." I expin calmly.-

  "Yoing to be challenging the Rustbym correct?" the jenny asked seriously and I nodded. "Then leave the suspect here with me and make sure you don't leave the city for the week an officer will find you if there is a problem." she said and I dropped the dude on my shoulder like a bad habit. "I'll be going now." I said as I started to walk away. The jenny looked like she wao say something but chose to remain silent and watched as I left.-

  I didn't waste the opportunity provided by the newbie trainers on this road and started challenging as many as I could to battle with Ru was almost funny how many of the trainer double checked to make sure that I would ONLY be using Rune. I wasn't all that surprised to find that most of those that accepted to battle did so because they were using water types but they were in for a rude awakening sihey thought they had a type advantage.-

  If Rune wasn't a shiric variant Charmahey would be right but unfortunately he was and they quickly learned how deceptive appearances could be. Rune didn't get much experience from those battles as he basically one shot those pokemon. The first real challenge for us was a guy with a Seedot. It retty clear to me from how he didn't shy away from my challehat he was fairly fident. Like usual I balled up Rune and stood twenty paces away from the guy to imitate an official battlefield. "Rune , set!" I called ohe referee in the form of araiarted the match.-

  Rune appeared on the field at the same moment as the guys Seedot that to be ho just looked like an a with legs and eyes the size of a basketball. "Swords dance!" I called seriously after seeing the level on that pokemon , twenty four. "Amnesia!" the guy called out and I mentally cursed. Rune ecial attack specialist so the Seedot getting a double up on special defense practically halved the damage of his moves. Swords dance was actually meant to make the guy think that Rune preferred physical attacks but clearly that pn failed.-

  "Thunderwave!" I called out hurriedly and the guy frowned as the energy hit the Seedot and paralysis took hold. "Harden!" the guy called but the Seedot twitched to show the paralysis was ag up. "Thunder shock!" I anded and the guy frowned even deeper before he seemed to figure out why my Charmander was usiric type moves instead of fire. It was far too te for that though as the arc of electricity struck the motionless pokemon. "SEEE!" the mon cried in pain when hit and it's paralysis worsened. Yes it get worse unlike in the games if the body is flooded with enough energy.-

  Basic paralysis is inve but not un workable but the worse it gets the less ce of pulling out any moves at all until finally it kills you if the body is saturated enough. The reason for this sudden jump in danger is because of what the energy is effeg at any time. If given too muergy the paralysis takes hold of the heart ahat tends to be fatal st time I checked. Of course by league regution in a trainer battle no more than three bouts of paralysis indug moves were allowed before the affected pokemoe the energy or forfeit.-

  "Synthesis!" the guy called with a frown. It was a brilliant move on his part as by using synthesis the Seedot sped up it's metabolism thus burning through the stored electric type energy much faster than normal. "Double thunder shock!" I called and Rune obeyed. Two more burn marks appeared on the grass type and it was recalled as the guy k reached the league limit and I wasn't going to allow him te the energy. "That was just bad luck , you actually gave me a bit of trouble by choosing to use amnesia at the start." I said with a smile as I took the prize money.-

  "And I thought your Charmander was merely a strange looking royal variant but it turned out to be a mew damriple variant of all things! Where did you even find a monster like that?" the guy asked with a smile showing he wasn't sour over his loss. "Rune here actually came to me believe it or not , same with my eeam now that I think about it." I said with a grin.
