Ch 41 – A Day in Asgard

He hesitated, her expression shifting from defiao something almost vulnerable. The walls she had built to protect herself, the defenses she had honed over turies, began to falter.

"I… I don't know if I simply fet everything," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "But perhaps… I try."

Seph offered her an encing smile. "You don't have tet, He. And you don't have to ge who you are. You have a pce here if you choose to take it."

Slowly, He looked up, meeting her father's gaze. In his eyes, she saw the remnants ret but also a glimmer of hope and love—a love she had once craved but had buried under yers of anger.

"All I've ever wanted…" She murmured, barely able to say the words, "...ce to belong."

Odiended his hand, a silent invitation. "Then e home, He. You've always belonged here. We simply lost sight of that. But if you're willing… we would be hoo have you back."

He studied him for a moment before she slowly, cautiously, stepped forward. She pced her hand in his, her gaze flig ta, Thor, and Loki in turn. A tentative peace settled in the room, a peace that wasn't perfect or plete, but ohat held the potential for healing.

And as Seph watched, a quiet satisfa filled him. He was no longer just Asgard's on; she was finally home, surrounded by family—a family ready tain.

After the family had shared a tentative pead the tensions began to ease, Frigga quietly pulled He aside, guidioward a secluded terrace that overlooked the sparkling spires of Asgard. As they stepped into the evening air, Frigga looked at her daughter, a warm and knowing smile in her eyes.

"He," she began softly, "I've seen many sides of you today, but there's one I don't think you're aware of yourself."

He tilted her head, her expression guarded. "And what side would that be, Mother?"

Frigga chuckled, gng toward the open sky. "The ohat shows when you look at Seph. I saw the way you watched him—and the way you try not to watch him."

She turned back to He, her expressiole. "There's o hide it from me, my dear."

  He stiffened, immediately defensive.

"It's… nothing, Mother," She replied quickly, looking away.

"He's simply someone who saw things differently, that's all. And he didn't treat me with fear or judgment. That doesn't mean there's anything more."

"Perhaps," Frigga replied, nodding thoughtfully. "But if it were something more, He, you should know there's no shame in it. Seph is someone who saw you for who you truly are and hohat—someone who helped you reect with your family, evehe past made it seem impossible."

He's expression softehough she still tried to keep her guard up. "Maybe he did. But feelings like that… they plicate things. And I'm not sure I would even know what to do with them."

Frigga smiled and pced a gentle hand on He's shoulder. "That's the wonderful, terrible thing about love. It plicates everything, but it als the greatest strength you'll ever know. You don't have to rush anything, He, but know that your heart isn't ao quer. It's something you trust."

He's gaze softened as she looked back over her shoulder, seeing Seph speaking with Odin and Thor in the distance, his calm preseeadying even their intense versations. She was silent for a long moment before she looked back at Frigga, a vulnerability in her eyes she rarely showed.

"I'll think about it, Mother," She said, a quiet hoy in her voice. "But… thank you. For everything."

Frigga pulled her into a brief, gentle embrace. "You're wele, my dear. You'll find your way, whatever that may be."

And with that, mother and daughter stood together, watg the lights of Asgard as the stars began to fill the sky, a quiet peace settling around them.

Seph spent his m immersed iraditions of Asgardian winemaking. Uhe guidance a and the pace vintners, he was showricacies of their craft—the a blending teiques, the bance of spices and fruits, the delicate process that made Asgardian wine unlike any other in the realms.

"Quite a skill," Seph remarked ta, admiring the vibrant, swirling color of the co. "I see why this is so cherished."

Frigga nodded, smiling. "It's more than drink here—it's history. And it's shared with those we hold in high regard. That includes you now, Seph."

The afternoht a different challenge: a sparring session with Thor and Loki. They met iraining arena, surrounded by the statues of Asgard's greatest warriors, with a crowd of onlookers curious to withe skills of Asgard's sons matched against Seph's.

Thor, brimming with fidence, charged first, swinging his hammer with all the raw power and vigor he was known for. Seph deftly sidestepped, his movements fluid as he tered with a precise strike, disarming Thor with surprising ease.

"Focus, Thor," Seph advised. "Power alone isn't enough if you're not reading your oppo's movements. Your strength should be banced with awareness."

Thor nodded, breathing heavily but listening ily. He had rarely been outmatched, and the lesson humbled him.

came Loki, cirg Seph with a calg gaze, his daggers drawempted a feint, his style agile and elusive, but Seph anticipated his every move. With a swift maneuver, Seph caught Loki's wrist, halting his strike.

"Deception is useful, Loki," Seph said calmly, "but it's predictable if you rely on it too much. Find ban your methods, and your skill will surpass mere tricks."

Loki's eyes narrowed thoughtfully, abs the advice with a silent nod, the wheels in his mind turning. Seph's words challenged his methods but didn't demean him—a rare experience for the God of Mischief.

As they fihor and Loki exged a gnce, sharing an unspoken uanding. Seph had given them more than lessons in bat; he'd showhe possibility of mastering themselves and their strengths.

And as the sun began to set ard, the brothers approached Seph, both of them mrounded and aware.

"Thank you, Seph," Thor said early. "You've given us much to think about."

Seph nodded with a small smile. "The potential freatness lies in both of you. Strength and ing—each has its pce. Together, you lead not just as warriors but as kings."

As night fell, Seph took a quiet moment on the pace baly, overlooking Asgard's gleaming cityscape. The day's events had woven him, in a small but signifit way, into the life of Asgard. And somewhere in the distance, He watched him from the shadows, a quiet longing in her eyes, sensing the possibilities he had brought to them all.
