Chapter 8: The Cute Baby Strikes (2)
"Auntie, you look really good. Auntie Ningjing, you're so beautiful." Tang Ningning, although being bullied by Tang Ningjing, still had a gentleman's smile on her face, bowed slightly and looked at Tang Ningjing with great courtesy.
"Ning Ning, you're really good at talking." As soon as Tang Ning Jing heard Ning Ning say that she was cute, she immediately became happy and pinched Ning Ning's tender face.
Tang Ning An gazed at Tang Ning Jing with a resentful expression, seeing how she was treating Ning Ning like a treasure. She was now jealous, not just of Ning Ning, but also of Tang Ning Jing. Ahhh... Ning Jing was so heartless to bully her precious son, it was too despicable.
Ningning usually doesn't like physical contact with others, especially not liking it when people pinch her cheeks. Even her mother has to negotiate for a long time before she can pinch them. Now Ningning surprisingly didn't get angry... didn't get angry... didn't get angry.
This made Tang Ning An feel very unbalanced, with a sense of being abandoned. She and Tang Ning Jing had been good sisters for so many years, not having seen each other for six or seven years, yet she didn't even glance at her, directly locking eyes with Ning Ning instead. Moreover, Ning Ning usually disliked others touching her face, not even allowing her mother to do so, yet now she was willingly letting Ning Jing touch her, which made Tang Ning An feel like a failed mother, thinking that she had been betrayed by her good sister and son together.
"So tell me, is your mom pretty or is Aunt Ningjing pretty?" Tang Ningjing asked with interest, glancing at Tang Ningan who was eating vinegar.
"There's only mom who is the most beautiful in the world." Ningning walked to Tang Ningan's side with a flattering face, holding Tang Ningan's hand and said.
When she heard her son boast that he was the most handsome in the world, a faint smile also appeared on her face, and she felt proud in her heart.
"You're still a bit conscientious, you little stinker. Hmph..." Tang Ning An half-crouched down, pinched Ning Ning's tender face, rubbed her nose, and pretended to be angry.
Ning Ning took out a necklace from her bag and held it in front of Ning Jing, saying: "Auntie Ning Jing, this is a gift I'd like to give you. I hope you and Uncle can grow old together, be forever harmonious, and have a noble son soon."
Tang Ning liked the necklace as soon as she saw it, not because it was particularly beautiful or precious. The most important thing was that this necklace was given to her by Ning Ning, so she really liked it.
Tang Ning An saw the necklace and her index finger curled up in anger, using the joint of her bent index finger to knock Ning Ning lightly. Although it seemed like a harsh move, it didn't actually hurt much. How could she bear to hit Ning Ning? For these six years, Tang Ning An had been extremely doting on this son of hers.
"Baby!!!!! What's with the necklace?" Tang Ning An looked at her son with a mixture of anger and amusement, sometimes she really had no way to deal with this son.
She thought that Tang Ning An was not perfect, but at least he wasn't a complete failure. How could it be that nothing had been passed down to his son, and yet this body of thieving skills had been inherited, and Ning Ning had learned them so thoroughly, even surpassing the original? She really didn't know whether she should be happy or angry.
This necklace was clearly on the neck of the madam who sat opposite them and had returned to China for a family visit, but it's unclear when he took it away. Even Tang Ningan didn't notice.
Tang Ningning's mouth twitched slightly, and she said somewhat unhappily: "I didn't, it was that aunt who gave it to me."
"Why would they give it to you for no reason?" Tang Ning An asked discontentedly.
"That aunt said I was cute and gave it to me." Tang Ningning looked at Tang Ningan with some grievance.
"Really? It's wrong for kids to lie."
"I didn't lie." Tang Ningning said with a puffed up face.
