Two balls of Brimstone shot into the air and smashed on the Minotaur.

  BOOM! BOOM!

  The brimstone attack exploded on Minotaur, but the hulking beast didn’t show any signs of pain at all!

  “Time to play Castlevania!” Dyne chuckled.

  “Master Dyne! I thought no magic!” Gala shouted.

  “I confirmed it when we arrived here. I can’t smell the scent that could cause a chain reaction anymore. This place will require magic since these bosses have to use some of their powers occasionally. And that Dark Crow did soemthing here. And besides, Relax! This is Grandia! The mines will collapse after we kill them.” Dyne assured.

  Gala didn’t understand what he meant.

  “So we can use magic?” Vahn asked.

  “Don’t cast Viguro. That will cause the mines to collapse!” Dyne glanced around as he noticed the structure of the place.

  The Dark crow grew angry at Dyne’s teleportation ability.

  “So you can perform... magic just like me? Let’s see who… is STRONGER!” Gi Nattak cursed as he harnessed two strange energy on his hand and released it to the side.

  “Crows of Fire! Come to life!” The energy sphere struck and exploded at the side, and the entire side began to burn with fire. A fiery ring appeared that prevented the group from escaping, and Gi Nattak harnessed the energy to create a powerful dark orb that surfaced above them.

  Suddenly, out of the fire, two firebirds emerged.

  “Just like Gi Nattak. But the power of darkness is too great! He must be like the Minotaur. He must have found a way to resist the control of a maddened seru!”

  Suddenly, the two firebirds began to fly with great speed.

  “Dodge that! It will possess you and burn you from the inside!” Dyne shouted. He recognized the attack. Although it was different in form, it was still the fire spirits that the Final Fantasy VII Gi Nattak had as its allies!

  The bird flew very quickly, but Noa and Nanaki managed to evade the attack, and the bird disappeared behind the fire ring.

  “I can’t see where they went!” Chrone cursed as the flames around them blinded them from the swooping movement of the birds.

  The Minotaur began to stand very still as immense earth energy gathered.

  “Crap. That’s Bull Charge! And after that, he’ll release a powerful all-terrain earth attack, Terio Punch!” Dyne recalled. Xain was considered one of the harder bosses in Legaia for those who would face him unprepared.

  Dyne gathered energy in preparation to teleport the team, but then he felt a conflicting command in the darkness.

  “Fool! This darkness is mine! Sons of my crows!” The Demon crow laughed as he harnessed dark energy.

  “I see it now… That’s the same Sim Seru of Zora! No wonder he can create it! Those wings are the corrupted form of the Soren Wings!”

  The darkness spread out, and Dyne could feel a change in space and time.

  “Hmph! You dare stop me from casting Alucard’s skill?” Dyne cursed.

  The werewolf suddenly disappeared from everyone’s sight before Dyne could take action.

  Stomps and dust began to appear as

  “What?! He’s too fast!” Gala lost to sight.

  Noa rushed to the front as she was the only one among the Ra-Seru heroes who could see the speed. But the speed was still too much for Noa, and she couldn’t rush towards Vahn, the target.

  But then, Nanaki made a powerful tackle that somehow harnessed wind energy!

  BANG!

  The two wolves struck each other, but the werewolf managed to redirect Nanaki’s attack, threw him off, and charged at Vahn.

  CLANG!

  But right as he was about to strike Vahn, Dyne stood at the front and raised a massive shield of purple.

  Jedo used his pyramid shield in a smaller form.

  At the same time, the powers of darkness had coated Dyne that the scarf he wore to hide his brimstone chest had turned into a dark cape.

  SLASH!

  Dyne slashed out with Grim, who now had a form similar to that of a sword.

  But the werewolf leaped back.

  But suddenly, two firebirds emerged and rushed towards Dyne.

  “Watch out!” Vahn shouted and threw his body in between Dyne and the two firebirds!

  BOOM!

  Vahn was knocked down, and the firebirds disappeared.

  But Vahn’s body began to burn, and Vahn was crying in pain.

  “Vahn!” Gala exclaimed.

  “Gala! Don’t worry about Vahn! You and Noa take care care of that crow! Find a way to get to him and hit that dark beast! I’ll cover you with some magic! Chrone! Attack that bull! Do not let it release that earthen energy! Nanaki! Let’s deal with the wolf first!” Dyne gave the plan, and everyone quickly sprung to action.

  Chrone charged towards the Minotaur, but then the Demon crow began to flap its dark wings and sent numerous feathers that moved like dark daggers.

  “Extend! Nyoibo!” Chrone shouted as he harnessed the Spirit from the Power Elixir to envelop the staff, which extended and used it as a pole to vault himself up and avoid the blades.

  The Minotaur harnessed the Earth's energy and was about to send a massive attack when Chrone released the power of the Spirit Stone.

  BOOM!

  He transformed into the Great Ape and harnessed the fire on his claw as his ape form carried out a fiery claw attack.

  The Minotaur sensed it and felt the threat of the power and made his punch upwards as it met the Great Ape’s claw.

  BOOM!

  The two powers clashed.

  Gala and Noa were running towards the Dark Crow.

  “Gala! Throw me!” Noa jumped, and Gala held out Mjolnir.

  Noa landed on top of Mjolnir, and Gala made a strong spin and swung Mjolnir and sent Noa flying towards the Gi Nattak.

  Dyne was teary-eyed as he saw the two perform an 'Advent Children' inspired attack to reach a Final Fantasy VII boss.

  “I- I- proud you two!” Dyne cried and couldn’t even say his praise properly.

  “ROAR!” The annoyed Nanaki called Dyne to focus as they kept trying to catch the speedy wolf moving all over the place.

  Noa was thrown into the air and harnessed the energy of the wind to make herself glide through the sky.

  “You fool! I have absorbed a thousand souls, and they aid me in this fight!” Gi Nattak laughed as he flapped his wings and sent numerous attacks.

  “Blackheart? That’s unfair! This isn’t Marvel Vs. Streetfighter!” Dyne frowned.

  “Roar!” Nanaki shouted as the werewolf nearly killed him on the last claw attack, to which Dyne began to charge at the werewolf with his strange moves and made a weird backward dash which he had never shown in any fights before.

  Gi Nattak flapped its wings and sent out hordes of flapping crows that flew towards Noa.

  “Run! Noa!” Terra spoke to her as the wind increased.

  Noa’s body became light thanks to the wind, and she began to step and run on the approaching flock of birds.

  She kept punching and slapping those in front while using the birds as a foothold to run.

  Noa began to run and moved in a spiral as she charged through the birds.

  She made a powerful stomp at the last bird, and she flew even higher than Gi Nattak and performed an Art that she could learn.

  “Acrobatic Blitz!” Noa made a forward flip and crashed her leg towards the head of Gi Nattak.

  Gi Nattack raised his two hands, and dark energy blocked the attack.

  BANG!

  The attack was blocked, but Noa used the strike to throw her up again and perform a series of air attacks.

  “You stupid brat!” Gi Nattak roared and ordered his crows to attack Noa.

  But at that moment…

  “Shinkuu!” A long shout was heard, and Dyne turned to see Vahn gathering the fire energy of the Firebirds that attempted to possess him.

  Meta was able to best the firebirds.

  “You think you can burn us?!” Meta roared as she was insulted by the attempt of the firebirds.

  Vahn had heard of Dyne’s talk with Tetsu and how they could turn the wave fist attack into a continuous beam if they had ample energy. And now, Vahn had the source of fire!

  “Hadouken!” Vahn shouted and sent a bright yellow beam of fire towards Gi Nattak!

  BOOM!

  The beam struck Gi Nattak, and Gi Nattak was thrown back.

  But as he was falling, Gala was already at the bottom and harnessed his Mjolnir, which was now coated in lightning.

  BANG!

  The mighty swing struck Gi Nattak clean on the chest and vaulted it back up.

  Noa was falling and performed her Acrobatic Blitz attack again.

  “Noa Feral Ra-Seru Rendan!” Noa imitated Arya’s naming scheme for her moves and brought her two legs crashing on Gi Nattak.

  SMASH!

  A little announcement...

  As you may have noticed, the rate I post per week has increased these past weeks from 2, to 4. And even this week, I already posted 3 times and should be able to post a few more. And it isn't just with this story. As you may know I have three other contracted works on two different platform. And honestly, my chapter rates on those have also increased and I have been doing a 5-6 chapters per week on them! So do read them if you have the time!

  Anyway, I will be asking for your help, dear Patreons. It's yet another new story that I plan to publish NEXT YEAR. I will be asking for your feedbacks and opinions as I write this story. But more details will be discussed on a separate post.
