It has been one year since I posted Desert Company on RoyalRoad in 2022. Including the time I started this story in 2021 it would be two years. But unfortunately this is the news.

  Desert Company will enter into indefinite hiatus, with the uncomplete volume 3 and uncomplete spin-off story. The passion and drive I once had for this story is gone, and I can't bear all the mistakes I've made along the way. No one reads this story anyway, so it's best to abandon the already sinking ship.

  I have all the plot notes, character notes, spin-off series and a DeCo appendix in the works, however I've stopped all progress. It is unlikely that this story will ever be picked up again. To the non-existent crowd, I apologize. There are stuff in this story I'm proud of, including writing two complete novels for this universe.

  Even with my new side project I've worked on, I Will Not Be Isekai'd!, I feel like I am messing up somehow. And it torments my mind whenever I write. Most likely, I will be taking a hiatus on writing itself before working a brand new story. Third time's the charm, right?
