Gohan and Goku were about to start their training when Gohan asked his dad, “Dad… do you think you can teach me some of the techniques you know?”

  “Teach you, I don’t know son… I can try but I’m not a good teacher like Piccolo or Raditz, I can just learn techniques quickly, I have always had problems expining how they work.” Goku said looking at Gohan

  “Oh, that sucks… never mind then.” Gohan said sighing

  “I didn’t say no Gohan, but I can try son, I will show you some techniques and you can try learning them, by watching me. I will also try and expin them as best as I can but, don’t expect a good expnation on how to use them.” Goku said ughing, looking at Gohan.

  “… ok dad that sounds good, thank you.” Gohan said smiling as he looked up at his dad.

  “So, are there any specific techniques you want to learn?” Goku asked looking at Gohan

  “… I wanted to learn the instant transmission, but I don’t think you would be able to expin how that one works well enough for me to understand.” Gohan said looking at his dad

  “Yeah, I don’t think I can expin how that one works well enough, but I can try if you want me to… how about I take you to Yardrat after we deal with Cell, and you can learn it from them, they also have a lot of other techniques you can learn.” Goku said

  “Really! That sounds like a good idea dad.” Gohan said looking at Goku, “… but I don’t think mom would like me going to another pnet when I could be studying.” Gohan said ughing

  “Yeah… that might be a problem but let’s worry about it ter. Are there any other techniques you want to learn?” Goku asked chuckling

  “I also wanted to learn the Spirt Bomb, but I think you will have the same problem.” Gohan said looking at his dad.

  “Yeah, like I said before I can try and expin it but… hey, how about I ask King Kai if he can teach you.” Goku said.

  “Don’t I have to be dead to meet King Kai?” Gohan asked

  “… I don’t know, lets worry about it ter.” Goku said ughing.

  “Haha… How about we just spar, and you teach me any technique you think will be useful for me to learn, and I will try and learn them by watching you use them.” Gohan said

  “Yeah, that works for me Gohan.” Goku said smiling at Gohan, “I guess we can start training now.” Goku said as he transformed into a Super Saiyan and got into his fighting stance.

  “Right, I’m ready.” Gohan said transforming and getting into his fighting stance as well.

  Goku nodded at Gohan before he unched himself at Gohan firing multiple energy bsts at him, Gohan flew backwards knocking the bsts away. Gohan vanished as he knocked an energy bst back towards Goku.

  Gohan appeared behind Goku as he knocked the bst away, Gohan threw a kick at Goku’s back, as Goku turned around and blocked the kick with his forearm and then threw a punch at Gohan. Gohan caught the punch with his palm as he threw a kick at Goku’s head, as Goku dodged the attack by tilting his head backwards.

  Goku jumped backwards as he fired two energy bsts at Gohan, who knocked them away, Gohan then charged towards Goku and threw out a punch which hit him in the stomach… or so Gohan thought as Gohan went through his father’s body as it became transparent, before disappearing.

  “… what was that?” Gohan asked as his father tried to attack Gohan from behind, Gohan turned around and tried to kick Goku, but his kick went through Goku, as Goku appeared behind Gohan and kicked him in the back.

  “That move is called the Afterimage Technique, you move your body very fast and leave behind a fake copy, that can confuse your enemies.” Goku said as Gohan got back up, “I’m going to use it again try and block my next attack”

  “Ok, dad I think I understand how it works. I’m ready.” Gohan said as he looked at his dad, Gohan then charged towards his dad as he punched his dad, who used the afterimage technique again.

  Gohan turned around and attacked his father who used the technique again, Gohan sensed his father approaching from his right as Gohan threw a kick, but his father used the technique once more, and appeared in front of Gohan trying to punch him in the stomach. Gohan then used the Afterimage Technique and tried to attack Goku, but his attack was countered by Goku who used the technique again and punched Gohan in the back.

  “Good job Gohan you were able to learn it pretty quick, but it can be used multiple times, so be careful.” Goku said as he looked at Gohan, as he got back up.

  “Is there a limit to how many times you can use it?” Gohan asked

  “Not really, try using this move now, it’s called the Afterimage Strike, it belongs to the offensive branch of the Afterimage Technique.” Goku said as started running around Gohan as many images of Goku appeared surrounding Gohan. The images then closed in on Gohan as they all started attacking Gohan, who couldn’t block all the attacks because he didn’t know which one was real.

  Goku then appeared behind Gohan and kicked him in the back sending him flying. Goku then punched him in the back again sending Gohan crashing into the ground. “Wow… I had trouble finding the real you.” Gohan said as he got back up and saw only one Goku standing in front of him.

  “Yeah, it can be handy. Now, your turn Gohan.” Goku said looking at Gohan.

  “Right.” Gohan said as he ran around Goku leaving behind Afterimages, as they closed in on Goku, Gohan started punching and kicking Goku as he had trouble blocking all the attacks, when Gohan appeared behind Goku and kicked him in the back, sending him flying.

  Goku flipped and ned on his feet before turning around, “That was very good son.” Goku said as he stood in pce looking at Gohan with a smile.

  “Now let’s see another move... aww yes, this move is easy to expin it was invented by your grandpa Gohan. It’s called Scissors, Paper, Rock. You use it like this.” Goku said as he showed Gohan, “Scissors!” Goku shouted as he attacked the air using two fingers in the shape of some scissors. “Paper!” Goku shouted as he attacked with an open palm, “Rock!” Goku shouted as he threw a punch.

  “Really grandpa Gohan invented this move.” Gohan said surprised as Goku demonstrated the move.

  “Yeah, you can even switch it up by shouting one attack and using something else, like shouting Rock but throwing Scissors or Paper.” Goku said, “I used that against someone named Jackie Chun back in a tournament I fought in when I was a kid.”

  “That one seems easy to use. Let me try it.” Gohan said as he looked at his dad, “Scissors!” Gohan shouted as he threw Rock at his dad who got punched in the stomach, “Rock!” Gohan shouted as he threw Scissors poking his dad’s eyes, “Paper!” Gohan shouted as he threw Paper smming his open palm into Goku’s stomach sending him sliding back a bit.

  “Haha, yeah just like that Gohan.” Goku said ughing, “Now what other moves can I teach you?” Goku said rubbing his chin looking at Gohan.

  “Can you try and expin how the Spirt Bomb works?” Gohan asked

  “Yeah, I can try… the way it works is you gather huge amount of energy from all surrounding life forms and focus that energy into a sphere of different sizes, only someone with a pure heart can use it. You can try it to use it, but I don’t think it will be as effective since there aren’t many life forms here, beside the two of us.” Goku said

  “Would it work with microscopic life forms?” Gohan asked, as Goku looked at him in confusion, “Never mind dad, I’ll try and figure it out ter, let’s just continue training then.” Gohan said chuckling looking at Goku

  “Alright, son I will use any move that I think will be good for you to know while we spar so be on the lookout.” Goku said as he got into his fighting stance.

  Gohan nodded as he got into his fighting stance as he charged towards Goku, and threw a punch at Goku, who tried to block it, but Gohan went through him as he appeared behind Goku throwing a kick.

  Gohan’s kick went through Goku as he appeared beside Gohan trying to kick him from the side, as the kick went through Gohan, “Rock!” Gohan appeared behind Goku throwing a punch.

  “Paper!” Goku shouted as he used his palm to block Gohan’s punch, “Paper!” Gohan shouted as he used his free hand to attack Goku with an open palm, “Rock!” Goku shouted as he punched Gohan’s palm.

  Goku then threw a kick at Gohan who jumped backwards dodging the kick, Goku followed Gohan as he fired two ki bsts at Gohan, who knocked them back towards Goku who knocked them away.

  Gohan then charged towards Goku again, firing ki bsts at Goku as he flew towards him, Goku charged towards Gohan as Goku knocked the bsts away. Goku then stopped knocking the bsts away as they went through his body.

  “Kamehameha!” Gohan heard from behind him as the attack came charging towards him, the bst then passed through Gohan’s body.

  “Masenko Ha!” Gohan shouted as he appeared behind Goku firing the bst as it flew towards Goku and hit him once the smoke from the attack cleared Goku was not standing in the same pce anymore.

  “Kamehameha!” Gohan heard from above him, causing him to look up as two blue energy balls came flying down towards him.

  “Double Saturday Crush!” Gohan shouted as he fired the two bsts at Goku’s as they exploded on contact with each other. Gohan then flew through the smoke of the explosion and attacked Goku who tried to block the attack, but Gohan appeared behind him and kicked Goku in the back, sending him flying down.

  Goku stabilized himself as he turned to look at Gohan before changing back to his base form, “That’s enough for today, Gohan.” Goku said as he nded on the ground looking up at Gohan with a smile.

  “Ok dad.” Gohan said as he changed back into his base form as well and flew down and nded in front of his dad, “Are there any other techniques you can teach me ter dad?”

  “There are a couple I can teach you as we train, but how about you try coming up with your own moves.” Goku said looking at Gohan as they walked back to the ptform.

  “My own techniques, I’ve never really thought of that.” Gohan said looking at Goku

  “It’s not too hard, some techniques can be created by combining other techniques you already know or changing how you use one technique. Like that Double Saturday Crush you used, or like how I used the Kamehameha as two energy balls instead of a beam, you change how an attack is usually used and then use it in away that suits you best.” Goku expined

  “Wow, I’ve never thought about it like that dad… you’re right, I can already think of some techniques that I can change up or combine and make new ones.” Gohan said excitedly

  “That’s good son, I’m looking forward to the new techniques you come up with.” Goku said as he pced his hand on top of Gohan’s head and ruffled his hair.
