Apology and New Story

Well its been 18 months? Maybe? Well close to that.

First of all, let me apologize for the readers who enjoyed this story back when I updated it. As the story went on I progressively got more and more tired of writing this story. It started off as a simple fantasy story where Sear would gain strength, fight the church, and eventually create his own church and be the god-like figure for it. Thats it. Instead, it turned into some half-assed cultivation story that had 99+ realms for him to reach and he was already somehow influencing entire planets at 250 pages into the story.

At the time of writing Searful I had just gotten into RoyalRoad truly and as I read more and more genres, I attempted to incorporate them into Searful, but all that did was lead to a clusterfuck of ideas. As time passed I began to hate this story and stopped writing it, and stopped writing in general for the next full year.

A few months ago I had finally felt the want to write again, though neither this story nor Ley World felt right to me. It suffered from similar but different issues and I also stopped enjoying writing it. On top of both stories being massive messes of ideas, I never had a plan with them. I came up with things as I wrote and never really tried to create a story which led to so many plotholes.

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

Due to this, I began a new story. I've spent 5 months simply planning it and the characters out before I even started writing and as of right now I have around 150 pages of it written with 70ish on RoyalRoad. I'm enjoying writing this story so much more than I did either of my other two stories, and I plan to see it through.

Though Searful and Ley World will never be continued, if you enjoyed my writing I hope you'll enjoy my newest story: Aeternalis. It's a litrpg story with a few changes to the whole skill/system workings. Skills don't give you boosts as they level up, they simply show how good you are at something. An issue I had with Ley World was how I had to calculate how each skill percentage boost would affect everything that happened to the characters. I also felt that percentage boosts wouldn't work well as its not a VRMMO story, its a real world that had litrpg elements to it. If you do decide to read it, I hope you enjoy.
