'To think he actually chose to become a war slave...I had become skeptical of that possibility after That horny woman had picked up an interest in him, after all, would he really decide to become a war slave when if he simply became her Plaything his job would be only to take care of her "needs", something many wouldn't see as an obligation but a previlege instead?...
Kid,you definitely didn't disappoint, now I wonder how your performance will be...'
Venatrix was pleasantly surprised by Vankcrow's decision, but she still needed to see if he could actually return from the expedition.
The vast majority of people who go on an expedition never return, the average survival rate is only around 10%.
And the deaths they suffer frequently tend to be Truly harrowing, the beings that lay outside the 8 Residents often don't kill them immediately but instead capture them to use as a breeding tool, they will remain conscious and "alive" for months, constantly having to "release" monstrous offsprings into the world.
This is one of the main reasons of why practically no one wants to be a war slave, humans generally feared death by itself but when paired with such a harrowing torture, their fear was even greater.
...
8 people were sitting around a white oval shaped table adorned in gold,A woman with purple hair, large blue eyes and a very attractive appearance,A young looking man with Very fair skin and red hair concentrated mainly on the top of his head,he was very handsome and had large amethyst colored eyes,An overweight old looking man with short brown hair,an middle aged looking woman with dark hair,a long face and narrow eyes,a very short and childish looking man with blonde hair and blue eyes,a dark skinned man with a somewhat squared face, and 2 very pale men with bald heads, they were tall and skinny and had numbers on their foreheads, each having the number 6.
The 8 of them were the High nobles, the noble ones with the highest authority.
They were the rulers of the 8 Residents, unlike the other noble ones who essentially have nothing to do,they were required to make important decisions, but they also
enjoyed a lot of privileges, one of them being that they could actively choose people to be their slaves instead of just being given one.
Currently, they were about to start discussing matters regarding the expedition that would soon be launched.
"Alright everyone,I would like to start by discussing the most important matter first, any objections ?"
There was no objection, therefore Ziegred, one of the pale individuals, Brought forth the topic of The New rule created by the Governer,The remnant will of The Inhuman Emperor's Mystic Bind.
The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.
This rule was one that changed things dramatically, because from now on,it would be mandatory for a certain number of new noble ones to take part in the expeditions...

A Humanoid figure wearing a metallic silver Armor That perfectly highlighted its features was walking through a narrow road, after a couple of minutes,he reached a dead end and turned his attention towards a hole in the ground, without hesitation, VanKcrow jumped right into the hole.
As he landed on the floor he saw a black bony hand coming in his direction, seemingly trying to cause harm, therefore he stepped backwards and properly glanced at the creature that was attacking him.
A werewolf like black skeleton of around the height of an average man, with flames coming out of its hollow eyesockets.
Without delay he grabbed the sword he was holding by the blade and struck the skeleton coming towards him in the head smashing it apart, only to see that another one was right behind it followed by a horde of the Abominations.
He glanced behind him to see nothing but darkness and a dark tunnel at the right side ,he then proceeded to take a step back as the skeleton leading the horde arrived in front of him and attacked him with a spear.
VanKcrow stepped forward to the right side while blocking the spear with his sword's strong part and sliced in between the bones of the creature's neck before realining his blade to attack the skeleton at its right side and fell back towards the tunnel while parrying a katana coming from his left side and struck the skeleton with the pommel of his blade crushing it's head.
As he barely reached the tunnel 4 of the creatures had reached his previous spot,he had come to the tunnel as it was narrow enough that only 2 of the creatures could fit into it at the same time.
He blocked a mace while simultaneously kicking back a skeleton towards another at the back,VanKcrow then stepped towards the duo and sliced both of their necks at the same time before turning his body sideways and jumping back in the direction of the mace wielder who was in the middle of an attack and cut its arms before grabbing the mace with his right hand, said mace which he used to smash onto the now armless monster leading it crashing onto the ground.
He kept repeating the process of falling back and destroying a skeleton until he exited the tunnel and reached a dead end as there was a massive hole on the ground.
He could see nothing in the hole and neither could hear anything.
He had to decide between jumping in the hole or facing the skeletons which now could attack him 4 at a time.
'There are still at least 40 of those things.'
VanKcrow jumped into the wall and went in direction of the horde,he put his right foot atop the head of a unarmed skeleton that was next to the left wall and then jumped into the wall again landing in the head of a chain wielding skeleton,he waited for the skeleton to raise its arms and smashed them with his mace before quickly grabbing the chain with just his pinky and his thumb and jumping back to the unarmed skeleton and then the ground.
VanKcrow went towards the hole and Dropped a sword into the hole,he soon heard it colliding with solid ground.
Without hesitation he jumped into the hole and soon made land.
He then quietly ran in his tiptoes and laid down on the ground once reaching a wall.
VanKcrow heard the skeletons make landing but couldn't see them.
'Fortunately they don't seem to be able to see me either.'
VanKcrow then listened for the noises made by the creatures to locate their position and when there seemed to be a suitable path without enemies he got up and started walking quietly back to the wall in which he landed next to and threw the chain which possesed a hook like thing upwards into a small hole he had seen before, pulled it and confirmed it was stuck.
He then started climbing the chain as fast as he could and managed to get out of the hole without being caught by the skeletons.
He went into the tunnel again and after exiting it went in the direction
the skeletons had emerged.
After walking for about 4 minutes, VanKcrow stood before a wooden gate,Two metallic looking hands pushed the gate open and VanKcrow proceeded to go past it.

Several people were grouped together amidst a forest of leafless trees, these trees were tall in stature and had a very peculiar feature about them, they had faces.
In the trunks of the trees,a large Humanoid face could be found, these "faces" had their mouths opened widely, many large holes created a sort of portal.
From one of the holes,The Figure of a Humanoid being all covered in metal armor emerged.
VanKcrow,had just completed a trial.
