Chapter 2 - Anna's allegations

  Anna wakes up from her sleep. She's unaware of the new environment as she was unconscious while she was carried here.

  Her treatment is still not complete, she might not be able to walk for a while, but it will heal with time.

  Anna is confused and scared, she starts to cry "mom, where are you? Where am I?"

  Nurses try to calm her down but she is very much in fear. But eventually calms down

  Anna is visited by some soldiers along with Vice General Husdam, seeing them makes her anxious and she is clearly in fear. "Girl, you don't need to worry, we are your military, you were saved from your village. We found you on the outskirts behind some rocks." Husdam said in calming voice

  Anna starts to calm down. But she is still doubting their intentions.

  Anna "You took my mother, why did you kill her. Why did my parents had to die while I survived" and she started to cry again.

  Husdam "You village was attacked by Hosam's forces. And you along with 2 other boys are the only survivors. Do you know Jared and Kuhl?"

  Anna get furious after hearing their names "It.. It all happened because of them. They are the reason we got attacked, my parents died to protect them. Their mother his them in barrel and my mother attracted their attention. I.. i hate them. They should just die. "

  Anna is visible upset and angry.

  Vice General can't make up anything from the situation. He reports back to General Dali

  General Dali " So she alleged that attack was to capture those two boys?"

  Vice general Hosdam " Yes General. It seems everyone in village was trying to protect them. What's so special about those village boys? "

  General Dali " It seems so, Dig into their background. Find out why they are so important. Also try to find information about their father. There was no mention of him earlier. Why would the entire village die to protect those boys?"

  Meanwhile Jared is going on in his daily routine cleaning and picking up start arrows. It's afternoon now. After having his lunch he goes around the town. Beside the town there's a Oasis. That's another reason for the town prosperity, Clean drinking water. Jared goes to the Oasis and he find two kids around his age are playing with wooden swords. Jared quickly hides himself in the bush and watches their movements.

  Gret " I'll defeat you today Maul."

  Maul mockingly " It's about time you try to win. It's already my 50 wins to your zero now."

  Gret is furious at the comments. He starts to swing his sword from the front, Maul is obviously stronger of the two. Maul blocks with ease and quickly pushes Gret back. Gret fumbled but doesn't fall. He quickly gathers himself and swings his sword from all directions. Maul blocks all his attacks. Maul sees a gap in Grets defense and hits him in the arm. Gret looses control of his swordand he drops it. Gret starts to cry " I swear I'll defeat you tomorrow."

  Maul " You can only hope."

  Meanwhile Jared who's in the bushes watches all their movements. But comes across a snake and tumbles. Lossing his balance. Snake climbs up jareds legs

  Maul " who's there? "

  Jared " Help me"

  Maul and Gret both run towards Jared.

  Maul and Gret both start laughing.

  Jared " Why are you laughing, help me get rid of it."

  Gret " Relax, that's a rosy boa. It won't eat you"

  Maul " Thats how they show their affection."

  Both continue laughing

  Jared is still scared but the snake just comes down on its own and starts to leave. Now Jared can calm down.

  Gret " By the way, what were you doing in the bushes? Were you watching us?"

  Jared " I'm sorry, I was just curious. I am new around here and came here to practice my sword."

  Maul "Ooo, A fellow swordsman. I accept your challenge. Let's fight"

  Jared "I didn't challenge you. In fact i don't know anything about sword fights. I mean I have seen some military practice sessions but that's all. "

  Maul " tch. I really hoped you would fight me. "

  Gret "So that you could beat him up as well? "

  Maul "Shut up, I never beat anyone. It's only in dual that I end up thrasing my enemy."

  Jared " amm. I am Jared. I saw your match earlier. It was awesome. I hope you could spare some time to teach me too?"

  Maul and Gret are confused. " Anyways I am Mual and he is Gret. We are friends. "

  Jared " it's nice to meet you"

  Gret " You can come train with us if u want from tomorrow. But I warn you Maul here loves to make others cry."

  Maul " Hey, stop portraying me as some evil boy. I am just strong."

  Jared "thanks. I'll see you tomorrow then."

  Maul " going back already?"

  Jared " Ya, my lunch break if already over. I need to head back to military camp."

  Gret" You joined military? My father told me that I need to be atleast 12 years old. How come you get special treatment? Are you a prince?"

  Maul " ya, how come you work in the military?

  Jared " Oh, no no. I didn't join military. I just work there and clean up after the training sessions. General Dali gave me that job"

  Maul " Gramps did?"

  Jared " Gramps? Are you two related?

  Maul " Sure, He is my grandpa"

  Jared " I didn't knew that. That's nice to hear. No wonder you are soo strong."

  Gret " He's not that special. Tomorrow I'll defeat him and you will see my greatness"

  Maul " Ya ya, that's what you have been saying since years. "

  Jared " Ok guys I'll see you tomorrow in the afternoon, byee" and Jared runs back.

  Maul and Gret " Ya see you tomorrow.

  Next morning.

  Vice General Hosdam " Sir, we enquired about the boys"

  General Dali " oo.. good, Let me hear it"
