Chapter 28

Han Luo returned to Luo Xian Mountain and immediately checked his alarm system. After confirming everything was in order, he entered Safehouse No. 13.

The familiar scent, the familiar coziness, the familiar sense of security—nothing could compare to his own fortified hideout.

A golden palace? A silver mansion? Nothing beats your own lair.

Forget everything else—a good nap comes first.

  —

After a deep and satisfying sleep, Han Luo woke up feeling refreshed. Nothing felt better than sleeping in your own place.

After a hearty breakfast and some light stretching, it was time to get to work. The main task was fortifying Luo Xian Mountain with formations—a process that would take at least a year.

  But before that…

He had another location to set up first. Taking out his Bronze Mirror, he entered the Mirror Realm.

  —

The Mirror Realm was an unusual private space. It had only one entrance, with the rest being impenetrable spatial walls.

Even a Great Ascension/ Mahayana cultivator couldn’t break through. Ever since he had bonded with the Bronze Mirror, the Mirror Realm belonged entirely to him.

Standing in the vast yet enclosed world, roughly the size of five football fields, Han Luo felt a deep sense of security.

In this world, he could use minor divine abilities, giving him more control.

  Time to get started.

  —

  Step One: Survey the Land

Han Luo measured every corner of the realm, taking two hours to complete.

Then, he descended to the center, setting up his workspace—a table, blueprints, pencils, rulers, calipers… all tools of precision.

He had already planned out how he wanted his personal world to be.

Three days later, after thirty revisions, the blueprint was finalized.

  —

  Step Two: The Soil

The current ground was as hard as iron—completely unfit for planting.

So, he scouted barren mountain peaks near Luo Xian Mountain, ensuring the soil was suitable before collecting them with the Bronze Mirror.

Soon, rich, dark soil covered the land, layered a hundred meters thick.

The scent of fresh earth filled the air, bringing back childhood memories.

At that moment, it felt as if he had returned to simpler times—carefree days spent running through his village fields.

“ Your mom’s calling you for dinner!”

Shaking off the nostalgia, he moved on to the next step.

  —

Step Three: Creating Day & Night

A world needs a cycle of light and darkness, so he set up a Day-Night Alternation Array.

Twelve hours of daylight. Twelve hours of night. Just like the world he came from.

Carefully, he spent half a day constructing the formation. Once activated, the Mirror Realm transformed. The sky turned blue, dotted with fluffy white clouds.

A sun rose in the east, painting the land golden. Satisfied, he observed the effect for three days before confirming its stability.

  —

  Step Four: The Seasons

A proper world needed seasons, so he installed the Four Seasons Array, integrating it with the Day-Night Array.

Spring brought gentle breezes, just like the days when he nervously entered school for the first time. Summer arrived with blazing heat, its warmth hugging him like a childhood memory. Autumn followed, bringing cool winds and falling leaves. Then came Winter—cold yet crisp, bringing a sense of renewal.

After thoroughly testing each phase, he nodded in satisfaction.

  —

  Step Five: Dividing the Realm

He divided the land into five zones:

  •   Vegetable Zone

  •

  •   Grain Zone

  •

  •   Herb Zone

  •

  •   Livestock & Aquaculture Zone

  •

  •   Fruit Orchard

  •

  —

  First up, the Vegetable Zone.

He carefully planted seeds he had collected over the years—tomatoes, chili peppers, green onions, cucumbers… dozens of varieties.

  Why grow vegetables?

Because he missed home. Every traveler in a distant land carries a longing for familiar flavors.

Though he was now a cultivator, his mortal heart still held onto its roots. Some people tried to erase their past, hoping to reinvent themselves.

  But Han Luo ?

He treasured it. Even painful memories were part of who he was.

  —

  Next was the Grain Zone.

With the experience from planting vegetables, he carefully sowed wheat, corn, potatoes, soybeans, sorghum, and more.

Finding all these seeds had been a stroke of luck, but perhaps… The heavens were making it up to him.

  —

The Herb Zone was different. Unlike grains and vegetables, spiritual herbs were rare.

Most of what he had collected were low-grade varieties. Still, he believed—every herb had its purpose.

Even the most precious elixirs required the most ordinary ingredients. Just like how the most intricate machines still relied on tiny screws. Being cautious never hurt.

  —

The Livestock & Aquaculture Zone was next.

He divided it into two sections:

  •   Land animals (chickens, ducks, geese, pigs, cows, etc.)

  •

  •   Water creatures (freshwater and saltwater fish, shellfish, etc.)

  •

  —

Finally, he tackled the Fruit Orchard, planting apple trees, peach trees, orange trees, and more.

The entire process took an entire month. At last, his personal paradise was complete. Hovering above the landscape, he admired his work, feeling deep satisfaction.

  —

Only one thing was missing—a caretaker for the Mirror Realm.

Maybe he should ask his master to refine a puppet servant?

  …No, better not.

  He’d rather do it himself.

Not that he didn’t trust his master—but when it came to his own security, he preferred to be extra cautious.

  —

Over the next few months, he made final adjustments:

  •   Constructed a two-story residence at the center.

  •

  •   Installed a Spiritual Energy Conversion Array to gradually generate Qi.

  •

  •   Added a Spirit Gathering Formation to the Herb and Orchard Zones.

  •

  •   Set up a Barrier Array to prevent spirit energy from affecting his grains, vegetables, and livestock—he wanted normal flavors, not spirit-infused ones.

  •

  •   Built rivers and a water storage system to maintain self-sufficiency.

  •

With the five elements in balance, the Mirror Realm became a self-sustaining world.

  —

The seasons passed, bringing the first harvest.

To store the food properly, he built preservation chambers enhanced by formations, ensuring fresh produce year-round.

Now, he could always enjoy fresh vegetables, fruits, and meats.

  —

One evening, reclining on his rocking chair, sipping tea, and humming a tune, he felt truly content. Until, something stirred inside him. His expression stiffened.

  “…Seriously?”

  Yep.

You guessed it. He had broken through again.

From Qi Refinement Fifth Stage to Qi Refinement Sixth Stage. At this point, he wasn’t even surprised anymore.

Other cultivators spent years painstakingly advancing… Meanwhile, he stretched a little, planted some crops, and leveled up.

“…My cultivation path is a joke.”

Shaking his head, he sighed. It had been over a year since he last left. Time to finally go home… and renovate the place properly.
