[Requirements Met.]
[Achievement Unlocked: Brick By Brick]
[Crafting System Unlocked, Rebuilding…]
[Rebuilding Complete.]
I tilted my head slightly and carefully examined the messages that appeared on the screen. It seemed my system had undergone a major update. Was this due to the effort I had been putting in lately? Or did the system automatically update once a certain threshold was reached? Either way, I felt a great excitement. I took a deep breath and prepared myself.
“A lot seems to have happened. Let’s check out what’s going on… Crafting System!”
I fixed my eyes on the center of the screen and called up the system menu.
[Crafting System] [Level 10] [Stats] [Skills] [Achievements]
I noticed a brand new tab had been added to my system: Achievements. My eyes widened slightly. This was something new! There was no such thing before! Excited, I reached out and tapped on the new tab.
[Achievements]
[Divine Comedy] [Luck +10]
[Determined Rookie] [All Stats +5]
[Brick by Brick] [Strength +5]
My mouth fell open in surprise. These achievements had far better effects than I had expected! There was never an achievement system in my system before, so what did the new update give me? How much stronger would it make me? First, my eyes moved to Divine Comedy.
“I remember the day I earned this achievement…”
I recalled the events that had happened, everything happening in an instant. I didn’t need to fall into deep thoughts or make myself sad, so I lifted my head and continued examining my new system.
“Luck +10, that’s really good since I couldn’t increase my Luck stat by working on it.”
The Luck stat, as the name suggested, affects things related to chance: Randomly given rewards, a shot you hope will hit, or getting a free ice cream when you buy one. It’s quite important.
I smiled and moved on to Determined Rookie.
“After clearing all the doors on the 0th Floor, I got this achievement. It was really tough, but it seems my effort didn’t go unnoticed. +5 to all stats! This is an amazing gain!”
I took a deep breath and then glanced at my final achievement, Brick by Brick.
[Brick by Brick]
[You started from scratch, but you didn’t give up. Life is an unworked gem, and you kept shaping that gem with determination, step by step. New weapons, a new workshop, and a keepsake prepared for a friend… What’s next?]
For a moment, I felt a warmth inside me. This wasn’t just a system notification; it was a message that directly reflected the path I had walked, the sacrifices I had made, and the effort I had put in.
“It seems I’ve been rewarded for my efforts,” I muttered. I paused for a moment and silently nodded. Yes, I had to keep going.
Now, it was time to check my stats.
[Stats]
[Level 10] [Mana 95/95] [HP: 120/120]
[Stats]
[Strength: 15]+10
[Intelligence: 14]+5
[Endurance: 19]+5
[Agility: 13]+5
[Luck: 1]+15
“This… this is incredible!” I thought, holding my breath. The increase in my Luck stat was amazing! Going from 1 to 16… maybe I’d finally become a lucky person. I noticed that the extra stats from achievements were listed separately. If I looked at my stats now, they were definitely higher than before. My hard work had paid off.
Finally, I checked my new skills.
[Skills]
[Examine]
[A passive skill that develops in proportion to your level of understanding. It allows you to better comprehend materials, complex structures, and the composition of different substances.]
[Shatter]
[Allows you to break down complex formations into their components, provided you fully understand their structure.]
New
[Workers] [0/10]
[Managing everything on your own must be tough; every great blacksmith needs helpers. You can assign workers, give them tasks, and train them.]
New
[Strong Strike]
[Some metals are tough to forge, but with this skill, you’ll be able to land powerful blows and strike with a heavy hammer.]
“These skills are amazing!” I yelled, my voice echoing throughout the forest.
“Shall we test these skills?”
I quickly walked towards the cave, my heart pounding with excitement.
I had a brand-new system. I had gained new skills. I now had access to things I didn’t have before. If I used these skills correctly, things would become much easier. But first, I needed to try them out and see how they worked.

When I reached the cave, the goblins were gathered around the fire. They were feeding the fire with sticks, communicating with each other in strange murmurs. One of them—the first goblin to try and spark a flame—was carefully arranging firewood.
I took a deep breath and raised my voice.
“Come here!”
The goblins immediately responded to my call. They all turned their heads toward me, and after a brief moment of hesitation, they quickly ran toward me. The sound of their footsteps echoed throughout the cave.
I stood before six goblins. Their eyes were shining with curiosity. I had tried to train them until now, but today, I would do something different.
I would make them workers.
My eyes went to the goblin who had first touched the fire. His small body, slightly hunched posture, and his usual curious gaze made him a bit different from the others. He repeated everything I taught him, constantly trying to catch my eye.
If it worked, I should test my new skill on him first.
I slowly reached out and touched the goblin’s head.
[Workers] skill activated!
A panel appeared in front of my eyes.
[Do you want to make this goblin a worker?]
? YES
? NO
Without hesitation, I pressed ‘YES.’
And suddenly, a new window opened.
[Worker Information]
? Name: None
? Race: Goblin
? Gender: Male
? Age: 3
? Level: 1
? HP: 45/45
? Mana: 10/10
? Stats:
o Strength: 5

o [Basic Task Awareness] → Better understands assigned tasks and can learn simple jobs.
o [Focus] → Can work on a task for longer periods without distraction.
I squinted my eyes and carefully examined it.
This goblin was a bit faster compared to the others. Its Agility stat was 9, meaning it probably had better coordination than the others. Its intelligence wasn't very high, but it had the [Focus] skill, which meant it could perform tasks better.
As I was reading this, the goblin’s body slightly glowed. With the system’s approval, it was officially my worker now.
I turned my eyes toward the goblin. It was looking at me, tilting its head slightly, trying to figure out if anything had changed in its own body. Then, strangely, it straightened its back and looked directly at me with an expression I hadn’t seen before. In that moment, I understood that it had reached a new level. From now on, I could truly train it.
A smile unconsciously formed on my face. “My first worker… let’s see what you can achieve.”
I lifted my eyes from the screen and looked at the goblin in front of me. It was still trying to understand its new state. Something was missing. It had become my worker, but it needed a name so I could address it.
Until now, none of the goblins had used names. But if I wanted to develop them, I had to start somewhere.
I brought my hand to my chin and thought. My first worker… The one who touched the fire, always the most curious, one of the fastest in the group… What should I name it?
Suddenly, something came to my mind. “Gob.”
This name reflected its goblin origins, but it was also short and easy to say. Plus, it was a word goblins often used.
The goblin blinked at me. “From now on, your name is Gob.” I pointed at it with my finger and said clearly. Gob.
It tilted its head as if it realized for the first time that a word was connected to itself. Then it pointed at its chest and tried to repeat the word in a soft voice. “G… Gob?”
I smiled. “Yes, Gob. You are now a worker.”
At that moment, a light sparkled in its eyes. I could tell it felt more special. When I looked back at the worker panel, its name now appeared as Gob.
Now, it was time for the others. I turned to the goblin standing next to Gob. It was calmer. It didn’t speak much, but it always did its work seriously. I used my [Workers] skill on it and examined the screen that appeared in front of me.

This goblin was strong and resilient. It was ideal for heavier tasks. I named it Grob.
When it heard its name, it simply nodded. It was calm and quiet, just like Grob.
I looked at the other goblins watching me. They were all curious. I continued making them workers one by one.
Third goblin: It was shorter but appeared agile. It was constantly trying to touch things, its movements were quick, and its eyes sparkled brightly.
? Stats: Agility and intelligence were high.
? Skills:
o [Quick Hands] → Does small tasks quickly.
o [Agile Movement] → Skilled in overcoming obstacles and escaping.
I named it Zip.
As soon as it heard its name, it immediately jumped and happily spun around. It looked much more energetic than Gob and Grob.
Fourth goblin: It was bigger, muscular, and moved slowly. It always had a serious expression on its face.
? Stats: Its strength and endurance were the highest.

It was one of the most eager to learn.
Sixth goblin: It looked quite young and energetic. It was constantly moving around, trying not to bump into anything.
? Stats: Its agility was high, but its strength was low.
? Skills:
o [Fast Run] → Moves very quickly over short distances.
o [Escape Skill] → Instinctively makes fast decisions when danger is sensed.
I named it Tuk.
The moment it learned its name, it laughed and waved its hands. It was the most playful one.
After assigning all the goblins as workers, another notification popped up in front of me.
[Worker Assignment Complete.]
Now I had six workers:
? Gob → Curious and quick to learn.
? Grob → Strong and silent.
? Zip → Agile and energetic.
? Brug → A strong worker who can carry heavy loads.
? Krag → Smart and careful.
? Tuk → Fast but unstable.
I placed my hands on my hips and looked at them. Once, these goblins had been aimlessly wandering, just trying to survive on their own. Now, they were my workers.
It wasn’t just about giving them orders. I truly needed to develop and train them.
I took a deep breath. “Well then, let’s get to work.”
The goblins looked at each other. Then, they all raised their arms and shouted in unison:
“Gob!”
