Dungeon Day 462 to 500 - Continues
With things coming to an end for his dungeon building, Dan told the World Crystal to get things moving. Dan wanted the transition of him ending the event and adventurers coming into his dungeon to be as short as possible. Thankfully, the World Crystal assured him that, at most, it should only be a day or two before adventurers started flowing in from the outside world. So, with reassurances that the World Crystal was watching his progress and moving things accordingly, Dan began to make the final moves to finish up his dungeon spree.
There were a couple thousand invading monsters currently roaming through his dungeon area. Sadly, until the event ended, Dan couldn’t bring the full might of his dungeon to bear on them. The event stopped him from simply opening holes or summoning rocks above all of the enemy monsters and killing them or trapping them. He did it to the gnolls because Mother Eternity no longer cared about certain things on his current floor since the entire challenge was pretty much over.
However, since there wasn’t much else to do in his dungeon, Dan knew it was time to get the event over with. Still, he needed some mana for the final touches he had to make, so he had to keep some monsters alive. With that in mind, Dan quickly killed all the gnolls he had kept trapped. This then gave him the few hundred feet he hadn’t claimed and, with a finality, finished one of his claiming goals while also bringing the event to an end.
The event ending wasn’t special, and he got a simple notification telling him it was ending and that monsters would cease to spawn from the mist. The mists themselves still existed since it was a good way to separate the space between his floor and the space outside of it without adventurers walking into a translucent wall.
Once the event came to an end, Dan sent out an order for his monsters to not kill any more invaders. They were to trap or debilitate all invaders until he needed their mana. Dan had no doubt some monsters would still die from injuries, but that wasn’t a big deal.
With most enemy monsters under control, Dan moved on to the next phase of his plan. This phase was simple, and he used his power, which was imbued into all of reality within his floor, to poke any and all creatures within his dungeon floor. Then, through this contact, he sent a fraction of his power, effectively sending them a notification to surrender or die. Of course, it went without saying that all creatures in his dungeon could feel his overwhelming power, and almost instantaneously, all of the creatures on his dungeon floor were now under his control.
Naturally, with all creatures in his dungeon under his control, all of his claiming goals were completed.

It had taken about a year and a half, but Dan had finally accomplished his goals, and as soon as they were completed, he felt a ripple pass through his dungeon floor. As per the deal and contract, the Chaos Mana in the air shifted, and the entire floor became inundated with normal Arcane Mana that adventurers could use. The change was an odd one and reminded Dan about the oddity of his situation. Here he was with all this mana at the tip of his fingers, yet unable to use any of it due to limitations he couldn’t complain about because he was essentially getting a second chance at life.
With most of his preparations done and thankful that the invading monsters didn’t count for the last and latest completed goal, Dan moved on to the final touches he needed to make.
Dan went through his dungeon floor, creating a variety of enchantments he had left until the last minute due to the mana constraint it would place him under. So, slowly but surely, but still within a reasonable amount of time, Dan began making the various enchantments. He started at the village with the cleaning and lumber mill enchantments, along with a few other ones he thought might be needed. From there, he moved to make the enchantments for certain cave entrances to warn adventurers of the dangers within due to hordes of future spawning monsters.
As expected, out of all the many enchantments Dan had to make throughout his dungeon. The most expensive one was the spatial one for his mini-dungeon. He had to kill a large number of the invading beasts to get it done, but in the end, he had the dungeon set up with a couple of instances. He would eventually increase the number of instances, but not until the adventurers were in full swing. Additionally, there was the addition of a couple of instances in each of the tents the green-skin commanders used. These instances would come in handy for a future quest Dan had added to the zone.
After completing his enchantment spree, Dan revisited the dungeon once again to make sure everything was working in order. He even helped Merlin spawn items and other menial things in The Rocky Caves in order to help the admin finish up his side of things. Then, with everything seemingly ready, he gave the watching World Crystal the thumbs up.
Dan still had enough monsters to pay his daily mana upkeep for a day or two but hoped it wouldn’t come to that. Luckily, the day after he had given the World Crystal the go-ahead, Dan felt a trickle of people start coming into his lobby. And as the day progressed, the trickle became a flood as hundreds of adventurers skeptically began to look around Typic Town and beyond.
