Chapter 11: Moms Gone

  Chapter Eleven: Shen Ma Left

At noon, Shen's mother brought lunch to the bedroom. Su Yan didn't open the door, so Shen's mother put the food outside the door and said: "Miss, this is your lunch, I've packed up my things and will be leaving soon. There are ingredients in the fridge that I bought this morning, you can use them to prepare dinner. I left a note on the fridge with some notes about Ancestor's taste, which is quite picky."

Su Yan's lips moved slightly as she listened to the gentle voice outside the door, feeling an urge to cry, but she still held back. "Shen Ma, thank you, and goodbye."

She knew the woman outside the door was a good person, if it wasn't for her...

"Sorry, Shen Ma, it's my fault you lost your job."

The door was quiet for a while before Shen's mother spoke with a sigh, "Miss, it has nothing to do with you. I'm old and originally planned to go home and take care of my grandkids. It's just that Master Ye hasn't found someone suitable to replace me yet, so I've stayed until now."

As soon as she finished speaking, she heard the sound of footsteps fading away outside the door.

Half an hour later, Su Yan finally opened the door and went downstairs with a tray of food. She hated Feng Jue's bedroom, which was all black and seemed like hell on earth.

The villa is empty and quiet to the point of being frightening.

She knew that Feng absolutely didn't like crowds, so she only left Shen Ma alone, but the villa was surrounded by a full layer of bodyguards. Let alone that she was dressed like this and was crippled, even if her hands and feet were fine, it would be impossible for her to run out.

Su Yan casually tied up her hair and ate with a carefree mind.

She has understood a truth since she was young: the less good people are to her and the worse the environment is, the better she must be to herself.

This man was far more powerful than her, and could kill her with just one finger. Feng Yue was undoubtedly Zi Yun's greatest opponent, and as the most feared person in the first black way organization, she didn't need to estimate how great his power was - anyway, she couldn't escape empty-handed.

She can't fight with courage, she can only fight with wisdom. She needs enough patience and tolerance. Even if Zi Yun doesn't love her, he won't let go of her like this.

She had already lost love and chastity. Su Yan closed her eyes, Feng Jue was her nightmare, she wouldn't let him ruin her whole life.

  Five o'clock in the evening.

Feng Zhe quickly returned to the villa, took off his coat and casually threw it onto the sofa, a hint of cold smile playing on his lips. Suddenly, having a woman at home made coming back feel somewhat anticipated.

The living room was filled with a strong smell of cooking, he knew Shen's mother had left, raised an eyebrow, what was that woman doing cooking?

He walked lightly into the kitchen and sat down at the dining table, which was at an angle where he could see the woman in the kitchen.

She was still wearing his white shirt, revealing her fair and slender beautiful legs. Although she walked with a slight limp, it wasn't very noticeable when standing still. The marks on her body hadn't faded yet, and were a deep purple all over. Her original long black hair was tied up, with only a few strands falling down onto her forehead.

She was intently stirring the soup in the pot with a large spoon, surrounded by a thick mist, her expression very focused, completely unaware that Feng Jue had already returned.

Feng Jue looked at her like this, with an unusual emotion flowing through his eyes.

Su Yan sniffed it again, picked up a small spoon next to her and scooped out a small amount. She lowered her head, blew on it gently, then brought it to her mouth, savoring the flavor carefully. Apparently, she thought the taste was not bad, as a faint smile appeared at the corner of her lips.

Then he reached out and turned off the fire, ladling the soup into a bowl that had been ready on the side.
