  Nyx looked at his remaining Mana. He realized that he could regrow his claw. He had exploded it and grew it back without paying the cost of ten. He could do this because he still has a claw left on his other hand. But he still has to pay 20 Mana each time he makes that move. And he can only regen 15 mana a minute, which is a long time in a battle. He needed to make sure to choose his moves wisely as he could run out of mana pretty quickly. He got back into a combat stance and regrew another claw. "Well, then you better use that fire well. Or else, the next attack will take an arm from a lowly Summoner. Huh?"” Nyx said as he smirked at Scar’s scowl at his words. Then the two both rushed at each other to clash once more.

  They were evenly matched. The fire melted Nyx’s claws, but he regrew them and then exploded them. The fire also damaged the icy explosion, countering more of the icy explosion. Nyx sweated as he felt the heat off of Scar’s blade; the stress of running out of mana was a pressing worry. He was stalling for time. Rose was probably finishing her fight. The guards might come due to the noise they made. Then, he was getting worried about the constant issues. He saw a flash of red behind Scar. Rose swung at his free arm, which held the flask of oil.

  “Arugw What the fuck was that! When the hell did you get here and what the heck happened to Jax!” Scar yelled out in pain as saw his hand be cut off with ease by Rose. He was gushing blood fast. He panicked and jumped back from them. He used the flames on his blade to cauterize the wound. You could smell burning flesh. He grunted in pain and his eyes were red with anger. He saw Rose laughing at him and making bad puns about him having one arm. Nyx chuckled at her and at his situation. Then as he was going to rush at them and go for one last swing he saw a blue glow behind him.

He was sweating as he saw Rose ready to swing her blade and Nyx’s claw started to glow again for another explosion.

  Scar flew back hard with his ribs broken and a wind slash that cut his chest. Snow and Amaya side-stepped to avoid getting hit. He tumbled and crashed into a nearby pile of wooden barrels. Nyx and Rose smiled at each other. They heard clapping next to them. Amaya cheered for them and Snow joined her, jumping around. “You guys were so cool! You Beat up the Big and mean bad guys just like the hero’s in my story book. You are the best bodyguards ever. I am gonna hire you all the time and be like you one day!” Amaya yelled and cheered for them as they just smiled and Nyx gave her a head pat.

  Then they heard the sound of a lot of clinking armor coming towards them. The group finally saw a group of guards and one or two adventurers coming towards them. The group of knights turned at the beat up kidnappers and took out a piece of paper that looked to be a wanted poster.” What the heck happened here? It looks like a war happened here. Also, why are Scar and Jax here? They are wanted for trading slaves and kidnapping many women and men. Can someone tell me what the hell is going on here!” One of the guards who seemed to be in charge of the group yelled.

  Rose just walked towards them and puffed her chest out and said “We just beat those two meatheads up for trying to take our Little sister. Now they will be lucky to walk again! So you are welcome that we did your job for you!” Nyx smacked his face and sighed as he heard Rose speak and some of the guards twitching their eyes in anger. This was going to be a long night it seems he thought as he saw Amaya cheering her on. “Look sir we are on a quest to take Lady Amaya home and as we were doing so two of these guys came to kidnap her. It seems they had information about our location and also info about us. So I would integrate them and get a healer so they don’t die from blood loss or any other injuries.”

  Nyx showed them their papers about the quest and their guild badge as he spoke to them. Rose was still bragging to the other guards as he was dealing with what seemed to be the head guard in charge. “Hmm well then everything seems to be in order with your story and your id and quest with the guild. The two you fought are famous kidnappers. Judging by your story, they targeted Lady Amaya next. There may be a spy in the guild getting information about adventurers and clients. That's not good. Well these two have a bounty for 10 sliver each so please come to the guard tower and ask for Josh Miller. I am the head guard in the town now. Please be on your way and good work to you two.” Josh ranted at Nyx as he directed the guards to take Scar and Jax away.

  He sighed as he saw them take away those two and turned towards Amaya praising Rose. Rose on the other hand had a smug smile on her face and doing cool poses with her sword. Now he had to deal with Rose not making Amaya her mini-me and finish this quest once and for all. He just wanted to get this night over with. “Come on, you two, let's go before it gets too dark," Nyx said with an irritated expression as he saw them messing around. He needed a break after this.
