Update on the Next Chapter – Shadow Realms Online
Hey everyone,
First off, thank you for continuing to follow along with Shadow Realms Online. Your support, comments, and engagement mean the world to me. It keeps me motivated and inspired to bring this story to life, even when the writing throws a few curveballs my way.
Now, I want to offer my sincerest apologies for the delay in today’s scheduled chapter drop. I always aim to be consistent with releases, but this time around, I hit a bit of a creative snag. I know exactly where I want Asil and Abby’s story to go, and I’m incredibly excited for what comes next. There are some powerful, emotional, and action-packed scenes on the horizon. However, getting them from “point A to point B” in a way that feels true to the world, the characters, and the pacing has proven more challenging than I expected.
I don’t want to rush through that transition just to keep a schedule. These two characters, especially in this arc, deserve more than a plot convenience. The next chapter is crucial for their development, the mythology of the Shadow Realm, and several major reveals that directly tie into the central conflict of the series. I’d rather take a little more time and get it right than deliver something that feels half-baked.
That said, the delay won’t be long. The missing chapter will be posted before the Tuesday drop, and you’ll still get Tuesday’s chapter on schedule. So, you’ll be getting a bit of a double feature to make up for the gap, two chapters in short succession, and I promise they’ll be worth the wait.
Once again, I appreciate your patience and understanding. This story has grown far bigger and deeper than I initially imagined, and that’s thanks to all of you sticking around and helping it evolve. I want every installment to be something you genuinely look forward to, and that requires not just creativity, but care.
If you have any thoughts or predictions, please feel free to share them in the comments. I love hearing your theories and reactions, and I read every single one.
Thank you again for being on this journey with me. Asil, Abby, and the rest of the crew aren’t done fighting just yet.

Until soon,

PS, I need 500 words so I can post this announcement, so here is a passage from a lost book from Aerothane:
"The Veil Once Torn"
An Aerothan Lament, circa First Reckoning
Beneath twin moons, where starlight dies,
And whispering winds recall the cries,
The world was whole, the Source was near,
Before the gods betrayed by fear.
From crystal spires to forest deep,
The Elden kin their vigil keep,
For in the dark where time was spun,
A demon stirred beneath the sun.
The Firstborn King with silver blade,
Stood fast where even Titans swayed,
His crown was forged of sacrifice,
Each jewel a life, each stone a price.
But one by one, the seals gave way,
And dusk eclipsed the dawn of day.
The Veil was torn, the Realms did bleed,
And shadows answered mortal need.
A daughter sang beneath the tree,
To weave the Source through memory,
Her voice became a secret prayer,
That lingers still in twilight air.
The Shadow sleeps, or so they say,
In blood and oath and ash and clay,
Yet some recall the ghostly flame,
And call the Keeper by his name.
So traveler, mark this cursed verse,
The Realm is old,and growing worse.
For when the final key is turned,
The gods shall fall, the world shall burn.
