Baku show a picture himself where he hold kagemaru in his hands. There are two more guys in that picture with Baku . Nobu and beru are surprised that kagemaru was baku’s katana. They told Baku to speak about his past and kagemaru. Baku said that one guy in the picture was nobu’s grandfather and second guy was hokori clan’ first leader . They were best friends.but they get separated because their clans and training. Baku went to mountains,their he find kagemaru he start training with kagemaru. And become a master in sword fighting.10 years later Baku and his friends meet again . But his friends changed. When they see kagemaru in Baku’s hand they are not happy with that . Because kagemaru was a rare sword and Baku doesn’t belong to a high clan . Nobu’ grandfather and hokori clan’s first leader decided to betray Baku and steal his katana. They decided that they will took kagemaru from Baku and put it in their secret treasure. They said that no one was worthy to hold kagemaru. They did exactly as they planned, they invite Baku for drinks where they put sleep pill in Baku’s drink and take kagemaru.they stabbed Baku in his chest and throw him in river .but Baku was lucky because he survived because a person a see Baku in river and heal him . Baku was in depression because his childhood best friends betrayed him just because of katana. Baku starts to live in that person’s house. Their his friends succesed to take kagemaru. But when they die their children’s don’t know very much about kagemaru. That is why in tournament they give kagemaru to the winner.nobu was shocked for what happened to Baku and what kind of human his grandfather was . He starts to hate his family more because Baku’s story.
