Chapter 4: don't distract me bro.

  Didier was ejected from the puddle he was just pulled into. Appearing out of another one almost instantly

  He looked down at it. Noticing it was a different puddle. His surroundings were also completely different.

  Didier: I'm in a different spot…

  It was still relatively the same place. He had just moved a handful of buildings away.

  He turned to the spot where he had been before he teleported. This time seeing 2 people.

  One of them being a person he had met already. He quietly snuck into an alleyway. Making sure his footsteps in the puddles he stepped over weren't loud enough to alert anyone.

  The 2 people stepped closer towards the soldiers. Just far enough to evade their sight. They made sure to whisper all their words to not make much noise.

  Jayce: Yo… Tony.

  The person beside Jayce said nothing. He just stood with his hand in his pockets. Staring at and analyzing the corrupted in front of him.

  Jayce: Tony!

  Annoyed, he finally responded.

  Tony: What do you want?

  Jayce crossed her arms. She shaked her head in disapproval with a disappointed expression on her face.

  Jayce: This is how you talk to me? “What do you want?” he says… I was gonna tell you something important but if you wanna be a bastard just cuz i'm trying to talk to you…

  Tony sighed and pulled his hands out his pocket.

  Tony: Yes Jayce? What is it ma'am?

  Jayce: That's better. But don't call me ma'am! I'm not old. Defeat this corrupted by yourself and I'll tell the bosses to give you a higher rank!

  Tony: Sure. Whatever.

  She pats him on the back while walking in the opposite direction.

  Jayce: Alright! Good luck man!

  Jayce hurried away and Tony approaches the corrupted slowly making sure not to draw their attention.

  Tony: Only making me do this just so you do no work…

  They marched down the empty and quiet street while Tony followed. Even though he didn't make any noise, someone else did from behind him did.

  Several consecutive thuds could be heard in the distance. Tony looked behind himself.

  Tony: What the…

  Didier came barreling down the street. His run was as loud and fast as lightning. Even though he wasn't near the 2 of them he had alerted the soldier who immediately whipped around.

  Didier: Hey! You!

  Didier yelled at the top of his lungs making sure to get Tony's attention.

  “Life detected!”

  Tony spun around to face the corrupted.

  Tony: Seriously?

  It noticed Tony first. Immediately getting its gun ready and firing. The bullet was fast and Tony couldn't dodge but he blocked it with his hand. The soldier then shot a small pebble before Tony could do anything.

  The pebble then flew at Tony digging into his skin and tearing into his flesh.

  Even though blood was gushing out of his hand he didn't even flinch.

  Didier finally caught up to the 2 of them after a long run.

  Didier: Please! Let me help you. I really want-

  Before he could finish talking. Tony cut off his sentence.

  Tony: What are you doing here! Go away!

  The pebble dug even deeper into his hand and skin. It ran down his palm and dripped on the floor.

  Didier: I can help fight!

  Didier sprinted towards the corrupted but he didn't make it far.

  Tony: You have to be kidding me..!

  Didier didn't get the opportunity to get close. Tony pointed towards Didier and he began to glow.

  Didier: Huh..!?

  It was like he was suddenly transported to a different place.

  Didier found himself in an endless void. A plane of existence where nothing else existed.

  Didier: Where am I?

  He then suddenly heard a voice behind him. One that belonged to the man he just spoke to.

  Tony: First of all. Don't distract me bro. You put a hole in my hand.

  Didier: sorry…

  Tony ripped out the pebble from inside his hand and wiped off the blood.

  Tony: Second. Why are you here?
