As he was falling through space towards the planet that he was falling through space towards, Yearyo suddenly made the realization that he could not breathe. In fact, neither could Snorter, Qaeron, or Klumpkrump, who were following close behind him. Luckily, he had come prepared on this trip. He took off his bearpack and rummaged around until he found what he was looking for: 4 glass bottles. Each bottle had a label with an image of a bear with a bottle up to its mouth and the text: “Bearxygen: For All Your Breathing Needs”. Yearyo handed one to Qaeron, one to Snorter, and one to Klumpkrump. He then demonstrated how to use it, but then again, it was pretty obvious. You just unscrewed the cap and put the bottle against your mouth and you could breathe the free air provided. A warning on the bottles stated that they only had enough oxygen for about 2 minutes, but that was all that they needed.
The planet they were falling toward was quite small. It had a lot of water and a couple of islands. Despite its small size, it still had a strong gravitational pull due to density and all that stuff. The location on the planet that they were hurtling towards, however, was not so pleasant-looking. It was some sort of giant black triangular mass in the middle of the sea. Neither the pig, cat, or either of the bears could tell what it was.
“Quick!” yelled Yearyo as he was falling through the atmosphere. “Everyone get on my bearpack!”
Yearyo placed his bearpack beneath his feet. Qaeron, Snorter, and Klumpkrump all made their way through the air to put his backpack beneath their collective feet as well. It was a very tight squeeze, but they all managed to fit, as it was a backpack designed for bears, as the name would suggest.
As they fell through the atmosphere, the bearpack started to burn up. Normally, it would have disintegrated, but bearpacks are reinforced with special Bear-Tech Anti-Atmosphere technology, you see, so it was completely fine.
Not much else of note happened on that long fall, so through the power of writing, we’ll just skip to right before they landed. As they got closer and closer to the black triangular thing, it became apparent that it was some sort of factory. Dark pipes twisted around every which way, connected to various dark buildings with dark smokestacks. Wires dangled down from various places. All in all, it did not look particularly pleasant. The sky above was the color of a polar bear that has been dipped in oil and tar. Also known as Really Dark and Depressing.

Eventually, the four friends, bearpack beneath them, reached the factory at terminal velocity. The backpack beneath their feet absorbed all the deadly impact force as it smashed through tons of pipes. The factory went way father down than anyone would’ve suspected. They crashed through layer after layer of pipes and stuff. Eventually, just as they were about to hit the actual ground super fast and deadlyly, which would have caused almost certain death, the bearpack struck a dangling wire. This wire was extraordinarily strong, and it bungeed them all slowly down to a safe halt on the ground, where they now were.
Unfortunately, while bearpacks are equipped with Bear-Tech Anti-Atmosphere technology, they are not equipped with Bear-Tech Anti-Pipe technology. As Yearyo’s bearpack smashed through pipe after pipe, those pipes were also smashing through the bearpack. By the time they reached the convenient bungee wire, the pack was nothing more than a bunch of tattered rags. All the stuff inside was exploded all over the surrounding area in catastrophically devastating displacement.
The place Yearyo, Qaeron, Snorter, and Klumpkrump now found themselves was very dark indeed. There were so many layers of pipes blocking out the sun above them that they couldn’t see anything at all. Anything, that was, except for a faint glow off in the distance.
“Guys?” asked Klumpkrump. Everything was eerily silent at the very bottom of the factory. All they could hear was faint ominous metal noises from far off.
“Yez?” responded Qaeron.
“...Where are we?” she asked rhetorically, as if one of them would miraculously know what the heck this place was.
“Beats me,” said Snorter. “But I don’t like it one bit. Let’s head to that light over there.”
Everyone headed to that light over there. As it turned out, the source of the light was a flashlight that had fallen out of Yearyo’s backpack on the way down. The Bear President grabbed the light.
“This should have about 4 hours of battery,” explained Yearyo. “So we’d better get going.”
“But where do we go?” asked Snorter.
“I think up is the best choice,” said Yearyo. “That’s where we’ll find more light.”
And so, carefully climbing onto the pipes, the four friends slowly ascended the mysterious and unknown factory of darkness and despair. They all climbed each pipe one at a time, using the flashlight to help whoever was currently climbing. Everything was going perfectly fine… until they met the frog people.
