Chapter 69: Getting Her To Talk.
(Celia’s POV)
Celia: “I respect you and your opinion, but could you please stop lecturing yourself via lecturing me?” I asked with my arms crossed.
Faith: “…I will stop doing that, sorry. I just… will have to do something horrible in the future, and I was apparently taking that out on you.” She replied with a remorseful tone.
Annoyingly, this conversation didn’t make any more progress at all. Regardless of how much I tried to get Faith to expin herself to me, she just brushed it off.
Something horrible? What does she even mean? I trust her highly, but she really left me hanging like this… Dammit, woman… My curiosity is piqued!!!
Faith: “I won’t be saying anything more, Celia. You will understand when the time comes…” She added, still deciding to be vague.
Hours upon hours, days upon days, I tried to get the woman to speak the truth. I was so focused on this one task… that I ended up dealing with 15,000 pyers in the blink of an eye.
Celia: “…”
Faith: “Not much remains in this portion of the game for you, Celia. Rejoice, as you can soon spend time with your family once more. Which is the cleaner way of saying that you’ll be able to sex your wives!” She jokingly informed.
Celia: “Why do I feel like you’re super avoiding a super important topic? Aren’t I your future wife? Shouldn’t you… be willingly to tell me what this is about?” I asked with a hurt tone.
Faith: “It hurts to see you so upset… but what I will do… that will upset you even more.” She replied with a remorseful expression.
Celia: “Tell me… please. Say it, and depending on my reaction… erase my memories of it.” I proposed.
Faith: “No dice. It will be too important, erasing your memories wouldn’t work. You’d recall, and be able to prevent my pn in time.” She denied with a sigh.
Once more… our talk ended here, with me still being none the wiser of Faith’s pn. What even is her pn, what does it entail, why shouldn’t I be aware of it? Such thoughts were what occupied my mind, leaving room for nothing more…
Months Later.
The final pyer was before me… No, I already recruited her. This portion of the game was over, yet Faith kept her lips sealed the entire time. Why even mention a secret pn… if she had no intention of telling me about it? Does she want a way out?
Celia: “Do you want a way out of your pn, Faith?” I ask with a serious tone.
Faith: “A way out? There is no other way, Celia. Now… stop messing with me, and go to your friends and family.” She said, pushing me ahead.
Celia: “You’re also part of it, Faith.” I say, grabbing her hand and dragging her along.
We had already arrived at another rest dimension, and my family was there, waiting for me with open arms, with smiles on their faces. Faith won’t talk… so I won’t ask anymore. For now… I will just have to secretly dread her secret pn…
