Chapter 64: Scolded by My Next Life Wife.
(Celia’s POV)
I didn’t expect for my little comment to rile Faith up like this… Right now, she was looking like she was really about to give me a good scolding. What did I do wrong!?
Faith: “Listen here, Celia. You might forgive them for everything, but you must come to terms with the fact that your family is full of evil people.” She said with a stern tone.
Celia: “Full of? What about Mena? She is innocent.” I replied with a raised eyebrow.
Faith: “I didn’t call them all evil… For example, Ria and Zia. Are you aware of even half of the horrible things that they’ve done? The morals of Higher Beings are loose, yes. But your morals aren’t.” She asked with her arms crossed.
Celia: “Yeah, I understand that some, if not most, of my family have done horrible things. But right now, I fail to see where this is even going…” I replied with a sigh.
Faith has admitted to wanting to still be cheeky in this life, so I find it odd that she is being so overly serious right now. What is the purpose of this conversation?…
If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.
Faith: “Huh? Oh, I just want you to understand that your family members aren’t innocent in the least.” She replied.
Celia: “Okay… but why?” I replied with a head tilt.
Faith: “So that you won’t be upset with me, for all the various evil things that I’ve done?” She answered, also doing an interesting head tilt.
Why is your answer in the form of a question!? Ah, my head is starting to hurt… Of course, this entire thing was about her vanity. In truth, there is very, very little that she could do, that would make me upset with her.
Celia: “Are you done playing games, Faith?” I ask with a sigh.
Faith: “In this life? Not anytime soon, no.” She denied with a giggle.
Celia: “(~OAO)”
Frankly, despite her now admitting to it, I sorta expected that this would be the case. It is just so out of character for Faith to act so serious. But, if so… was there really no point to this entire conversation, then?
Faith: “Why’re you looking at me with such disappointment in your eyes?” She asked with a pout.
Celia: “…Was there a need to distract me?” I asked in reply.
Faith: “Of course! If I didn’t do this, then you would have been too sad over our daughters leaving, to be able to do anything at all.” She answered with a confident tone.
Celia: “…I hate that you’re right.” I said with a groan.
Faith: “I will always be right! I look into the future before making any decision, after all.” She smugly expressed.
Ah, so she is yet another Higher Being that can see into the future, and one who abuses said fact, huh? I was actually glad that Ria wasn’t able to do that anymore, but now Faith does it… Eh, it kinda fits her, for some reason…
