  Chapter 80: Staking Her Rights.

Maralia: “Is there a problem?” She asked with her arms crossed.

Kerstan: “Maralia… this is uncalled for.” He expressed, trying to contain his anger.

In this room, Maralia was alone with her decision. Even with the Game clearly wishing for death, those here still didn’t wish to break the rules.

Maralia: “By all rights, that God should have died, correct?” She said with a stern tone.

Kerstan: “But…” He got cut off.

Maralia: “For the Game to end, Celia is needed. Letting her kill will… only further stain her soul.” She said with a sigh.

  Kerstan: “…”

Maralia: “As long as Celia defeats her enemies… it should be fine to have the willingly forfeit.” She added, her tone matter-of-factly.

At this, those in the room chatted amongst themselves. In the end, this was all meaningless, as not a single person here could actually go against Maralia.

Yes, with their combined positions, they would be able to revoke any claim that Maralia has, removing her position entirely.

But doing that would be extremely foolish. Even without her position, Maralia would just kill everyone here, and then still meddle in the Game even more.

Kerstan: “Alright, we accept your proposal. After all, you’re right. If Celia dies… then the Game will take thousands of years to end, and a bloody conclusion it will be.” He said with a tone of defeat, sighing once his words finished.

Maralia: “Good, good.” She replied with a satisfied nod.

Refocusing on the Game, she saw Celia just mindlessly standing in the same place. Looking closer, Maralia noticed… that Celia was bleeding.

  Woosh!

Maralia: “Celia!” She yelled, grabbing the woman.

As she teleported here, Celia started to fall backwards. Maralia, luckily, came to her side in time, catching her.

Blood trailed down from Celia’s mouth, eyes, ears… she was practically bleeding from everywhere. Maralia was panicked, not sure of what to do. “Faith gave her so many years… Why is she dying?!” She shouted in her thoughts.

Faith was busy scheming with Runey, making her way to Celia slowly. If she bothered to check on Celia’s status, she’d also be panicked.

Vanessa: “How sad…” She said with a grim tone.

Maralia: “Mother…” She replied, her tone painful.

Celia, regardless of what method was used, didn’t wake up. Her soul’s staining was… basically 99% now, meaning that the years Faith gave her… didn’t do anything for long.

Faith: “What…” She gasped, rushing over to her future wife.

  Vanessa: “…”

The two held Celia, fully thinking that she was going to die. If she did, then this Universe would be plunged into a dark time.

Vanessa watched as her daughter, and Faith were crying their eyes out. Sighing, she knew what to do.

Vanessa: “I’ve lived long enough.” She said with a hearty laugh.

Turning into just a soul, she shot herself into Celia, giving the two no time to react at all. Wordlessly, they looked at each other, and felt immense pain.
