Volume 8. Chapter 72: She Really, Truly Needed To Level... (Chapter 773.)

Chapter 72: She Really, Truly Needed To Level...

Absentmindedly, Celia found herself in a dungeon. “Almost every time that something crazy happened, it was because I took on a quest. Surely, nothing bad will occur with this method!” She thought, almost entirely defeated.

This time around, Celia didn’t take a quest, nor did she bring anyone with her. Instead, the young girl took to dungeon exploration.

Ruina: “Celia, you need to be careful in places like this…” She advised with a serious tone.

Celia: “It might be an S Rank location, but isn’t anyone at Level 100 or over considered to be one? I’m almost Level 200, so this dungeon shouldn’t pose any issue.” She replied with an unbothered shrug.

Midas even signed off on Celia going here, so the girl had a pep in her step. Unbeknownst to Celia, Carma, Midas, Maralia, and Ria were all following her, secretly hidden via Invisibility Magic.

The dungeon she went with was unexplored, but from the monsters who poured out of it, was classified as S Rank. In her haste, this one was the safest dungeon that Midas could find. But that didn’t mean that Celia would be safe, considering how prone she was to have… things go crazy.

  Entering The Dungeon!

Celia: “Just some Slimes…” She said with a disgusted tone.

Despite not really facing any in battle until now, Slimes were still horrid in Celia’s opinion. They weren’t small and cute, but stark, dark colors. And as they dissolved their prey, Slimes always smelled like pure death.

  Slash!

  Celia: “…”

Sideways, Celia attacked with her sword, instantly killing her enemies via a Magic attack. Honestly, since she hadn’t used it in battle just yet, Celia forgot about being able to do this.

Ruina: “There isn’t even a trace of them left. Poor Slimes…” She said with feigned sadness.

Celia: “Don’t Slimes kill thousands of people per year? Even as a joke, feeling remorse for slaying Slimes is a bit too far, Ruina…” She replied with a roll of her eyes.

  Ruina: “No.” She denied, bluntly.

Celia: “What? I’ve always heard that…” She got cut off.

Ruina: “They kill tens of thousands of people per year. Slimes make great cannon fodder, so they’re also used in war as sacrificial hordes.” She added with a cheeky tone.

  Celia: “…”

Ignoring her childish SH, the young woman went deeper into the dungeon. Each enemy she met on her path was a Slime, with none reaching a Level higher than 120. So far, Celia was having quite the easy time on her first spelunking.

  Later.

Celia: “Why is it only Slimes? Midas said that monsters other than Slimes were spotted.” She asked with a bored expression, getting completely fed up with killing jelly-like monsters.

To kill a Slime, all you had to do was destroy their core. Celia didn’t want to even get close enough to the Slimes to attack directly, using Magic slashes for every fight. As you’d expect, this was boring to a teenager. Unfortunately, her wish to not be bored… would soon be granted.
