Chapter 58: Corrections, But More Confusion.
Vulely: “That wasn’t what I meant. Rather, with Xena’s mistake, you’d always be sick, and there’d be problems with your System. In time, Xena would realize this failure, and fix it. But fixing it right now is better, in my opinion.” She clarified with a shrug.
Maralia: “…” “Thank Goddess… Wait, as a Higher Being… do I worship anyone? Perhaps I can just worship Celia.” She thought with a giggle, relaxing.
Just being returned to life, clearly not alive for so long, while the others lived, Maralia was very much affected by Vulely’s incomplete words.
Xena: “Wait, you truly aren’t helping Celia?” She asked, storing her sword away.
Vulely: “If I was, would any of you even know of her existence? Instead of just help, if I was willing to go against my promise, I would have kept her by my side forever.” She denied, feeling very insulted.
Wanting to make certain of her conclusion, Vulely checked Celia over once more. But there wasn’t a hint of anyone meddling with Celia in the least…
Vulely: “You all, allow me to look into her soul.” She requested, her tone serious, making it seem urgent.
The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
Maralia: “Vulely… after what you did, why would we allow that?” She replied with a scoff.
Vulely: “Fools! Given a second… no, third chance, yet you make the same mistakes. Celia shouldn’t be sleeping through all this!” She angrily exclaimed.
As if they learned nothing from Celia’s suffering, neither of them noticed their family member strangely needing a lot of sleep.
Though, each person here was cleansed, free of their past sins, and wouldn’t make the same mistakes as last time. Rather, Ruina didn’t notice, as she rarely watched Celia, spending most of her time tending to Nemu.
Glancing at their memories, Vulely realized that her words were out of line. Those here weren’t that close with Celia in this life yet, and didn’t have the chance to observe this problem. Only Ria could, but, without her past life memories, and with Celia being just 14, she didn’t see it as anything major.
Vulely: “Apologies, you all aren’t at fault. Either way, something is wrong with Celia, and I must look into her soul to fix it.” She said after calming down.
Midas: “Does that not go against your promise, Vulely?” She asked with her arms crossed.
Vulely: “It doesn’t. Whatever is wrong with Celia… isn’t natural. As such, it wouldn’t be wrong of me to help her in this matter.” She denied with confidence.
Then, Vulely tenderly took the still censored Celia out of the bath, Midas magically put clothes onto her, before they all walked out of the bathroom.
Vulely: “Now, none of you touch Celia or me, and I’ll make this quick.” She said with a serious expression.
Lying peacefully on the bed, Celia’s slumber wasn’t even slightly hindered. Sighing, knowing that this toed the line of breaking her promise, Vulely steeled herself, and then dived into Celia’s precious soul…
