Chapter 96: Banished To the Shadow (Her Bedroom) Realm.

Even with just 30 or more Levels over Celia’s own, Carma, Ria, and Lem regained control. The girl was too volatile, never leaving them enough time to react to Celia’s latest crazed situation.

They didn’t wish to restrict Celia most the of the time, no. But a princess… can’t miss their birthday. Carma was almost certain that something… unique would happen during the celebration, but she didn’t wish to dwell on it for more than a minute of dreadful anxiety.

Celia: “I am getting bored…” She voiced with a sigh.

Ria: “If you stop reading the books that we give you so quickly… this wouldn’t happen.” She advised with a sigh.

Regardless, they needed to prove to themselves that they COULD keep Celia safe and sound at least once. As such, they convinced the young princess to stay in her room, monitored at almost all times.

Celia: “Ria, when’s the last time you’ve read something?” She asked with a smug, raised eyebrow.

Ria: “Me? Hmm… probably a few months ago, if I recall correctly.” She answered with a sure tone.

Celia: “Alright, alright. I understand why you’re scolding me.” She then said with a hearty laugh.

Mainly, there were just maids in this room. Ria asked her (future wife) charge to add them to the System group, and she then went to Level them up.

Along the way of their Slime slaughtering from a few days ago, they realized that Celia didn’t have to be the one to land the final hit. A person just needed to be in a group with her to get double Exp.

Ria: “You’ve all gone silent… And, aren’t joining me in scolding the lazy princess, who doesn’t even bother to read a book correctly.” She said with a bewildered tone, as, once upon a time, these maids were all under her command.

Celia: “Ria, just read one of these books, and you’ll know the truth.” She suggested, pointing to a pile of finished novels of varying genres.

Ria: “I do not see any point to this… but I shall.” She eventually agreed, sighing loudly to express her displeasure.

Her fellow maids were then giggling like schoolchildren, ready and willing to see the mostly emotionless head maid show an amusing expression for once. After all, they fell victim to Celia’s joke already…

Ria: “…There, I read it. Care to explain what you’re being so smug about, My Lady?” She asked with a somewhat furious expression, feeling that her charge needs… some level of modesty.

Celia: “Oh? You read it all, even comprehended the meaning?” She replied with feigned surprise.

Ria: “That’s correct. The moral of this novel is… cherish what you have, as you might suddenly lose it one day.” She said before then crossing her arms, now just curious about what everyone was planning, clearly taking Ria for a fool.

Celia: “Woah! And you did that all in mere seconds!” She praised with grand applause.

  Ria: “( o_o)”

At this, the maid picked up another book, then a different one, constantly switching books. This all took less than thirty seconds. Finally, she landed on an expression of pure, abject horror…
