Volume 10. Chapter 53: What Else... (Chapter 954)

  Chapter 53: What Else...

Narrator Vulely: “You haven’t clarified that you’re joking, Zelia.” I mused with a giggle.

Zelia: “I am not joking, even slightly. Celia is always destined to be at the top, with the disaster timelines merely being outliers.” She replied without a hint of a joke in her voice.

  Narrator Vulely: “…”

Zelia: “Though… this one is different. This timeline is a mix and mash up version of many other ones, practically giving the family the easiest path to happiness.” She mused with a deep thinking pose.

Shit… Does that mean we’ve just been getting the unlucky timelines? I mean, in all the failure timelines that I’ve witnessed, Celia is always dead or dying. Zelia is clearly a lonely soul, so… even without the family with her, Celia is supposed to be the strongest? But… that goes against what Nemu said about Celia being controlled, guided, or helped by a higher power!

Zelia: “Vulely, you don’t have to overthink this. Celia rises only after she deals with those who wish to control her. It was the same for me. As for other timelines, such as mine… it is best to just pretend that they do not exist at all.” She kindly suggested, giving me a somewhat forced smile.

Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

Narrator Vulely: “…I see. Do you have any idea about whom this person is, the one that is intent on destroying us?” I ask with a serious tone, diverting the discussion, as it was clear that Zelia didn’t want to talk about that topic.

Frankly… going back through everything, even timelines we avoided… I cannot, for the life of me, think of a single person who is responsible, a likely culprit. Let alone any of our past enemies who’d even be able to reach such a level of power to do such a thing…

Zelia: “I have no idea. Considering their power… they’re very likely someone from outside this timeline or universe entirely. Celia wouldn’t be foolish enough to allow such a powerful being to roam free, especially if she failed to get them to join her side.” She answered with a shrug.

Narrator Vulely: “Then… aren’t we in a lot of danger?” I replied with a genuinely worried tone and expression.

Zelia: “Right at this very moment, no.” She instantly denied.

Narrator Vulely: “How can you say that with such confidence?” I ask in grand confusion.

Zelia: “It will take… probably a hundred years of recovery for me to return to my previous strength. That being followed you back in time, grabbed me out of my timeline, and manipulated my memories, all before escaping. Unless they have a Mandate of Success from Existence itself… they, whomever they are, will most certainly require a long period of recovery as well.” She explained with even further confidence.

  Narrator Vulely: “(- _ -)”

Leaving this to chance?… Fuck that! Zelia still has the same poison as Celia, knowing that being is female… they’re giving them the benefit of rest. And what will I do about this? Of course, I am going to beg on my knees to Guanyu!!! The last truly sane person of the family…
