THE PRELUDE
TO MADNESS
Note:* means the narrator is speaking and ( ) means
side information is being given to you like fights and actions performed by characters.
when letters are crossed out it means the character is
thinking the words not saying them
*This story starts in a meaningless town situated
in a backword country known as Pakistan.
*It is around 11am the lunch break ends and the
students go back to their class rooms.
*The 10th boys class is famous for their extremely
bad behaviour towards teachers
*One teacher in particular is the biggest target of
their bullying
*He is the Biology teacher his name is Waseem
Sajjad.
*Every single day he is made fun of by the
students, every day he is pushed to the edge but

this day was unlike the others because of
something that was going to happen.
*Just as the children of 10th boys settle down
Waseem enters the classroom to teach.
Waseem:Hello class take out your books.
10thBoys:SsSsSsSsSsSsSs
*Sir Waseem had a talking defect such that he
would always emphasize the S in words.
Waseem:Stop it do you not have any respect for
your teacher?
10thBoys:(start making random noises)
Waseem:I am so tired of all of you,every single
time I enter this class you start making those
acursed noises and at this point I just dont care
anymore.
10thBoys:(start shouting random things)
Waseem:I am done with this class,tell your
incharge to find a new teacher for you.
*Sir Waseem tired of the constant hooting and
shouting of the class leaves early and goes to his
house.
*When he reaches his home he is approached by
his wife.
Waseem's Wife:Oh Waseem! you are home early
today?

Waseem: Yeah I told the administration that I was
not feeling well and had to go home.
Waseem's Wife:But why?
Waseem:Those children are so annoying I am so
tired of the constant bullying.
Waseem's Wife:Dont worry waseem I am sure
they will learn eventually.
Waseem:No,you dont understand those children
are bloody devils, no matter what I do , no matter
how much we try to make them understand they
just ignore every thing and at this point I am done
just hoping for them to get well just they wait
tommorow's their Biology Grand Test, I know that
from tommorow onwards their test time will be
decreased and I am going to make tommorows's
test twice the normal size.
Waseem's Wife:Do you think that is a good idea?
will you not get reprehanded for your actions?
Waseem: Oh dont worry I am sure the toppers will
be able to finish the test in time those children are
monsters but most of the students will struggle
and if they complain I'll just say that if the toppers
managed to finish why could'nt you?
*Waseem finishes making the paper and goes to
sleep.
*While this plan to punish the children seemed

harmless, the children angry at waseem started
annoying him even more.
*This day ends again with waseem coming home
even more tired and mentally unstable thankfully
he has his wife to comfort him in his trying times.
*He enters the bathroom and starts continuesly
washing his face trying to calm himself down
Waseem:How low
Waseem:Just how low have I fallen?
Waseem:I was a genius,destined for success
Waseem:Why is this happening to me?
*Waseem as a child was a prodigy he was renown
for his intelligence but with fame came people
jealous of his gift,in his teenage years he was
framed on accounts of 1st degree murder and
robbery by some of his classmates the charges
were proven to be false but it was too late the
damage had been done,no college would allow a
man suspected of murder to join them.Thanks to
a friend he was able to go to a very low class
university and graduate with a degree. But his
degree had very low worth, so he had to settle for
a teaching job.Now he thinks back at his
childhood remembring those who ruined his life

Perhaps planning for Revenge
Co-ordinater:I am afraid your Biology teacher Sir
Waseem is absent today
Hamad:But why is he absent Sir?
Abdullah:Yeah Sir Waseem normally never takes a
day off.
*(Abdullah and Hamad are the monitors of the
10th class)
Co-ordinater:Unfortunately Sir Waseem's wife has
passed away.
*The class falls into silence as the children pay
their respects to the passed women.
Abuturab:Damn that is really sad.
Shaheer:Yeah I cant believe Sir Waseem's Wife
passed away in a car crash.
Aqib:I really feel bad for him he has no family or
friends, now his wife is also gone.
Muneeb:Ina lila hi wa ina ilahi raji oon
(Ina lila hi wa ina ilahi raji oon is said when
someone passes away in the pakistani culture)
*Aqib,Muneeb,Abuturab and Shaheer are close
friends and everyone except Aqib being part of
the Toppers Group.
*A couple of days pass with Sir Waseem being

absent from the school
*A week after his wife's death sir Waseem returns
to teach.
(Sir Waseem enters the class)
10thboys:Welcome back Sir Waseem!
Waseem:Hello
*The students consol Sir Waseem and no one
dares annoy him in his state of
unstability.....except one
Aun dulu:Sir I will tell you a joke to cheer you up
Waseem:Sure why not
go ahead
Aun dulu:Knock Knock
Waseem:Who's there
Aun dulu:*snickering* not your wife
(starts laughing )
*The class falls silent everyone shocked at what
he had just said, Sir Waseem stands up with tears
running down his cheeks
"She was wrong" he says "People like you dont
deserve to be alive"
Sir Waseem pulls him up with his hair and starts
beating his head into the wall
Aun dulu:!I..am..sorr6
*Waseem does not stop the screams of the child
ring throughout the halls teachers from other
classes start to come towards the screams,
people gather around beging him and even trying
to force him to stop.....but he continues,beating
him over and over again eventually he is captured
by the other teachers but all thats left of Aun dulu
is a bloody mess
*He is rushed to the hospitals and thankfuly
survives but the Waseem has to face the
consequences
ChairmanGullu:Waseem, you are lucky due to the
state of your mind and the joke made by the child
the court has ruled you not guilty but we cannot
keep you in this school to preserve our
reputationg you have to go.
Waseem:But it was his fault!
ChairmanGullu:I am sorry but.. you are fired.
*Waseem heads back to his empty house with no
one left to comfort him and he is absolutely livid.
Waseem:HOW DARE they after all I have done...
THOSE MONKEYS, I WILL MAKE THEM PAY. I
WILL MAKE THEM SUFFER FOR WHAT THEY
HAVE DONE.
*A few days after the incident the classes resume
but the class is not the same, it is much more

gloomy and sad.It is break time and the students
head out.
Abuturab: This is horrible.
Shaheer:Yeah I cant believe they fired Sir
Waseem.
Muneeb:Well what else could they have done?
They had to preserve this school's reputation.
Abuturab:Wait! Where is Aqib?
Muneeb:I think he is at the food stall.
Shaheer:Stuffing his face like usual.
Abuturab:Guys look at the sky what is that?
Shaheer:Is that a light? what is happening
Muneeb:The government is probably testing
something weird.
*A blue flash of light envelops what seems to be
the school at first but those on the roof realize
that it is covering the entire world.
*After the blue light dissipates the students regain
their footing their heads hurt so much
they are so confused but soon everything starts
to become more clear.
(screaming can be heard in the background)
Abuturab:!
Muneeb:What the hell was that my head hurts so
much

Shaheer:Wtf just happened
Abuturab:Guys are you blind?Look around you
there is blood everywhere that wasnt only a flash
there was also and explosion and I am sure I
heard multiple of them as well
Aqib: I go to eat for 1 minute and half the school
is in ruins wtf.
*The school was destroyed rubble was flying
evrywhere and it seemed there was an airborn
detonation of a very powerfull bomb.
(Airborn detonation is when a bomb is activated
in the air which does not do as much
concentrated damage but does damage to a wide
area)
Abuturab: Come on guys we have to get out of
here
Aqib:But how?
Abuturab:Muneeb has a motor cycle lets get to
the motorcycle stand first then we will think about
what to do.
(All friends agree to this plan)
Note:From now on anyone accompaning
Abuturab or any of the other 3 main characters
will be referred to with the main characters as

Friends this was done to remove the need to write
the names of everyone while narrating their
reactions
Shaheer:Quick! this place is falling apart we need
to get out of here.
*A rock falls from the collapsing roof and almost
hits Aqib on the head
*The friends start running down the stairs to
escape the building
Abuturab:Wait what is wrong with that student
why is he not panicking has he lost his mind or
something?
*The student in an enraged frenzy rushes toward
Aqib since he is the closest to him and starts
trying to hit him
Aqib:Why me ;-;
Aqib:Guys can you please bloody help me kinda
about to die?
*Muneeb tackles the student to the ground
Muneeb: Your welcome
Aqib:-_-
Abuturab: Why is he attacking us? is something
wrong with him?

Shaheer:Guys,he is'nt moving quick check his
pulse
*Abuturab checks his pulse
Abuturab:!
Abuturab:He is dead???
Muneeb:AYO but I just tackled him lightly
Aqib: You are gonna go to jail now idiot (:
Muneeb:NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Muneeb:I am too young to go to jail ;-;
Abuturab: Guys stop meming this is serious he is
literally dead
*The "dead" student starts groaning,gets up and
tries to bite abuturab's neck off but he slips and
bashes his head violently on the pavement
Shaheer:Did'nt you say he was dead?
Abuturab:He should be but guys we gotta get out
of here leave him here probably a zombie or
something
(He was not a zombie Abuturab just didnt know
how to check a pulse)
*The friends start running again and encounter

one of their class mates Musab
Musab:Oh you are still alive?
Abuturab: Why do you seem sad to see us
alive???
Musab:No
Abuturab:??? ok i guess wanna join us we are
trying to get to the stand
Musab:I would but I have to get my sister
Abuturab:Oh yeah I also have 2 sisters how did I
forget that
Abuturab: lets go get our sisters guys you go to
the stand and wait for us
*The friends get out of the school but before they
can enter the girls section.....a fighter jet from the
Pakistani air force crashes into it presumably
killing everyone inside
Abuturab:WELL SHIT
*Just like that multiple jets and helicopters start
crashing everywhere but one of the pilots uses
his parachute and survives the friends go to
confront him
Shaheer: Hey are you okay?
Aqib:Guys be careful he might have a gun
Pilot:Dont worry kids Im not going to kill you

Muneeb:Then tell us what happened
Musab:Also tell us why your friends crashed their
jets into A SCHOOL
Pilot:Well we were patrolling like usual but me
and my squad randomly started having really

Pilot: Okay then stay safe!
*The pilot leaves on his own
*The friends get to stand but something starts
happening again
Abuturab:AHHHHHHHHHHHH!! MY HEAD HURTS
IT FEELS LIKE I JUST ATE 3 TONS OF ICE

*The friends start having headaches again
*The first one to wake up is abuturab
MysteriousVoice:Hello ABUTURAB It is a pleasure
to meet you
Abuturab:Who are you?
Mysterious voice:I am your ability THE CLERIC
*The rest of the friends wake up
Shaheer:Who are you talking to?
Muneeb:Yeah have you finnaly gone mad?
(Only abuturab can currently hear THE CLERIC)
THE CLERIC:Would you like me to explain the
power system to you and your friends?
Abuturab:YES PLEASE
THE CLERIC:Listen carefully all of you!
THE FRIENDS:!!!
THE CLERIC: I am going to explain what is going
on,all of you have gone through a process called
"Awakening" due to which you have gained some
special powers.One of three things can happen
when a person goes through Awakening
1- They are not mentally strong enough to handle
it and go crazy attacking everyone nearby, people

in this state die around an hour or two after the
process
2-You gain a basic attribute, attributes are the
basis of the power system. An easy to
understand example is that attributes are special
powers that only you can use. Multiple people can
have basic attributes for example the basic
attribute called "Brute" this is common in people
who have low intelligence it gives them a HUGE
boost in stamina Strength and a modest increase
in Speed.
3-You gain a Unique attribute.These only occur in
people with strong will and a unique and complex
personality.Unique attributes belong to you and
you only.No 2 people can have the same unique
attribute.A person can only have 1 attribute.
Muneeb:I understand what you are saying but we
dont have any special powers or attributes.
THE CLERIC: Of course you do, you just passed
out from a head ache right?
*The friends all nod in agreement
THE CLERIC: You have just awakened your
attributes, before I continue I should tell you
something,other than attributes their is another

part of the power system. They are called abilities
unlike attributes which are given to you, you can
also learn abilities for example if someone has the
ability "Hawkeye" you can learn it your self if you
see it being used enough times.I am also an
ability I am given to people who have great
amount of knowledge or Seek knowlege,
Abuturab has gained me as an ability I am
basically a guide book
Shaheer:Woah but what are our abilities and
attributes?
THE CLERIC: I can also view other people's stats
Such as their strength, speed, agility and their
attribute and abilities as well
Musab:Can you tell us our attributes?
THE CLERIC:If abuturab asks me to

THE CLERIC: Very well,all of you have currently
lvl1 stats(speed strength etc) except shaheer who
has lvl2 you can increase these by using SOUL
ENERGY
Muneeb:AYO???
THE CLERIC: You can absorb the souls of people

to increase your own power.I Should also tell you
about MANA, mana is basically a power source
your attributes and abilities use up mana your
pool of mana regenerates continuesly but it can
run out and being low on mana makes you very
tired mana is also a stat that you can increase
using souls.
THE CLERIC: Now for the part you all have been
waiting for,I shall reveal your attributes and
abilities.

Attribute:
Matter Reconstruction
You can reconstruct matter into other
forms for example you could turn lead into gold or
a random stone into iron but there are many
variables such as densities and the amount of
matter given as input and output because of
which mana is used to compensate for the
different amount of the matter being
reconstructed.To put it into easy terms if you if
you wanted to turn 1g of sand into 1g of gold the
difference in densities would make the 1g of sand

not enough to make 1g of gold.To fix this issue a
large amount of mana is used to create matter
since E=mc^2.Basically the volume of things that
you change remains the same.If you
reconstructed a glass full of water into sand it
would be a full glass of sand. The user can also
mold and control the shape of matter,which uses
much less mana.THIS ABILITY USES A LARGE
AMOUNT OF MANA
Abilities:
Proficient Liar
When the owner uses this
ability others will be more likely to believe their
lies.THIS IS LESS EFFECTIVE ON INTELLIGENT
PEOPLE
Aqib
Attribute:
Elemental Control
A simple yet powerful ability it grants the
user control over the 4 elements Fire,Earth,Air
and water. The greater the amount being
controlled the greater the consumption of

mana.THE USER CANNOT CREATE ANY OF THE
ELEMENTS HE/SHE WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO
CONTROL ALREADY EXISTING ELEMENTS.

Trash talker:
This is a passive ability
meaning it does not need to be activated it is
always in effect.The user is really good at trash
talking opponents and lowering their morale but if
the user is beaten in a trash talking contest or is
hurt by the opponent this ability lowers the users
mental fortitude.
(fortitude means strength or durability)
Inciter:
The user is able to trick people
with lower intelligence and mental fortitude
arround them into following and looking up to
them.THIS ABILITY DOES NOT WORK IF THE
USER IS PANICKING OR MENTALLY UNSTABLE

Space and Time Manipulation
This allows
the user to manipulate and controll(to some
extenct) space and time.Allowing the user to open
pocket dimension for storage and portals for
trasnsportion.The user can also open rifts in time
to teleport.The user gains the ability FORESIGHT
Abilities:
Cleric:
The cleric is basically an AI
assistant that has all the information about the
user and can view other people stats as well.The
cleric makes learning other abilities faster and
increases the amount of souls energy gained by
2.5 times.
Foresight:
Foresight allows the user to see
the future to a very small extent it is basically a
danger sense which tells the user about
approaching danger. But this is just a side effect
the actuall power of foresight is that it allows the
user to predict actions.THIS ABILITY IS
EXTREMELY MENTALLY TAXING AND EXHAUSTS

DECAY
This ability allows the user to
speed up the decomposition of things.If the user
uses this on a human or animal it would
decompose their bodies and kill them.This
attribute grants the user increased physical stats
and the ability DEATH'S KISS
Abilities:
Death's Kiss
This ability makes it so that the effect of DECAY is
300 times stronger if the user kisses the target.
Analyze
This ability allows the user to analyze things to
find out their condition such as if they are
edible,healthy or rotten etc.It also tell the
composition and makes learning cooking based
abilities faster

Righteous Executioner
This is an
extremely powerful ability. If the target is evil the
user is granted a sword made from pure light
energy which does an insanely increased amount
of damage to the target.The amount of energy
multiplied depends on how evil the opponent is.It
ranges fron 300x to 2500x.It also covers the user
in pure light energy which gives a 10x increase in
durability.THIS ABILITY FEEDS OFF THE
EMOTIONS OF THE USER.EXTREME AMOUNTS
OF NEGATIVE EMOTIONS MAY CAUSE IT TO
EVOLVE.
Abilities:
Judge
It allows the user to judge the target
to see if they are evil or not.
DOUBLE EDGED SWORD
It is a passive
ability meaning it does not need to be activated.
If the user fights someone who is pure of heart
and not evil, the user gets a 5x decrease in all

stats.
(Everyone can open a holographic window that
displays all their own stats but THE CLERIC
thought it would be better to explain it himself)

Muneeb:Idk about you guys but my ability is
awesome wait let me go try to turn that rock into
an awesome steel sword
*Muneeb turns the stone into a steel sword but
passes out due to running out of stamina
Abuturab:Did you not read the part about it
consuming a lot of mana?
THE CLERIC:You can also transfer mana to other
people by touching them and thinking about mana
transfer
Abuturab:HMMMM...Cleric who's ability here uses
the least amount of mana?
THECLERIC:Musab's ability uses almost no mana
Abuturab: Great Musab give half your mana to

AROUND US INTO A DOME
Aqib:??
Abuturab:Just DO IT QUICK
*Aqib turns the earth around them into a dome
just as another flash hits the earth this flash
explodes everything on the surface killing most
people who were out in the open. Aqib then lowers
the dome
Aqib:gasping for breath what the hell was that?
Abuturab how did you know?
Abuturab: *grabbing his head in pain*I was using
my Foresight on full throttle the whole time it told
me of the flash a few seconds before it happened
but my head hurts so much now
Muneeb:But why?
Abuturab:I thought something like this might
happen since the blue flash that gave us these
powers happened just half an hour ago
Musab:Guys look the world its...its desolate.
*The friends look out in horror witnessing that
almost all the buildings that were around them were destroyed
