After pulling of a daring attack on a large pirate force, Captain Meisha Al-Jihlani is upset to discover that she''''s being retasked from her old cargo ship to take command of a prototype battleship. Her orders are simple; a mining station on the giant Hanaloi has gone silent. It should be an easy mission to break in the newly named Dauntless Midnight, but Meisha and her new crew find that something is not quite right when they arrive in system. The com station above the planet is filled with malfunctioning security robots and a single crazed survivor, and there is no contact with the mining station below.
