Chapter 52. Rebellion.

Hilda wakes up later in his house, finding Jamine and Shila both nowhere in sight as she finds herself at level 240 along with some other rewards which she ignores.

  “Shila, Shilaaaaa, Shila, you ther—”

A note suddenly appears midair in front of her as she grabs it.

“I'm busy. This is a prewritten letter by me. So is Jamine.”

  —Shila

“... Wow, a free day all to myself? Nah, I should probably get the 25th floor cleared.”

Hilda tries to manually send herself but finds her system completely not working at all.

“Seriously? Then how about leveling up? Shila said that leveling would be needed but I haven't really needed to do much fighting… except for the event so far.”

Hilda starts trying to teleport, successfully teleporting but not in the direction not range she wanted.

“What the hell… the system isn't helping with my skills either? I knew that it helped a bit with skills while allowing me to accumulate mana as xp but the system is completely down?” Hilda sighs as she starts walking back, not wanting to risk teleporting half her body into the ground.

“I wonder when this'll be fixed, how annoying.” Hilda complains softly to herself as a notification appears.”

“Huh? Notifications still work?” Hilda presses on it curiously.

  Notification.

  Achievement unlocked.

  Saviour.(——)

  Rebellion against the imprisoner.(——)

“Wow. 2 useless achievements without a rank.” Hilda sighs, continuing to walk back.

“What to do, what to do… oh right, Shila mentioned something about a trial area on this floor which disables skills which is well… perfect since I can't use skills right now anyways.” Hilda starts walking in that direction as another notification comes on, causing her to click it immediately.

  Notification.

Congrats. You have been chosen as the saviour.

“What? Is that it?” Hilda closes the notification in irritation as a bunch of bandits suddenly appear, annoying her.

“What the hell.. I'll just kill them and…” Hilda pulls out her sword, using mental attacks on them or at least trying to as it mainly does nearly nothing and pisses them.

“Fff—” Hilda starts running as they slowly catch up due to being higher levels than her.

“Stupid bandits are actually higher level then… wait, most things are higher level than me, I just have skills as an advantage.” Hilda keeps running as the bandits start catching up quickly., causing her to turn around and pull her sword out.

Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

“Screw it. If I can't aim, I'll just attack everything in sight.” Hilda uses a mental attack on the area in front of her, wasting much more mana than needed but getting all of the bandits at once as she uses conversion magic, causing the grass and bandits to blow up.

“Fucking idiots.”Hilda continues her way off to the trial area as she eventually finds herself in another city.”

“Wow, it looks nearly goddamn identical, should I just…” Hilda shakes her head, putting her sword back into her soul.

“Nah, no way I can win against everybody alone, especially without any skills.” Hilda walks around the city, deciding to explore it as she finds a church.

“Seriously?” She enters it, finding… pictures of the guide inside.

“Oh, what the fff— I knew the people on the 10th floor treat the guy like a VIP and all that but what the hell is this? Wait actually, I guess some don't.” Hilda hums to herself, enjoying the peace

“Wait… I came to look for the trial, what the hell am I doing here?” Hilda looks around and suddenly starts seeing posters around.

  Wanted.

  Profile unknown.

Estimated to be a woman in her 18s, using magic to conceal her appearance.

A black misty trail follows her.

“...” Hilda hides her trail as she takes off her mask.

“What the hell, there were people who survived to tell what happened?” Hilda quickly finds somewhere to hide as she starts hearing guards look for her, causing her to run into an alleyway.

“What the hell…” The guards keep looking around with Hilda knowing they'll eventually reach her if this keeps up.

“Dammit.” Hilda suddenly hears a door beside her open as somebody pulls her in.

  “Who—”

The ransom stranger who pulled her in, wearing poorly sewn together rags for clothes with one over his face, puts a finger to their mouth, signaling for Hilda to keep quiet as complies reluctantly due to the many footsteps and shouting outside.

As the door steps grow softer, Hilda starts whispering. “Who are you?”

“Is that of importance right now?” Hilda shrugs in response to him.

“Maybe? How am I supposed to know if your identity is important If I don't know it?”

“Just follow me if you want.” The person starts walking away.

Hilda starts following as the person walks into a basement.

  “So… where are we going?”

The person ignores Hilda and keeps walking.

“Hello?” Hilda gets more annoyed as she keeps trying to get his attention. “Hey!”

She pulls out her sword, putting it to his neck in annoyance.

  “Stop ignoring me.”

“You probably shouldn't do that.” The person pushes her sword away slightly with a finger.

“Why should I listen to you?” Hilda pushes her sword against his neck, causing him to sigh as he suddenly appears behind her, kicking her down the stairs.

Hilda tries to stand back up but gets kicked back down again to her annoyance.

  “Hey! Stop tha—”

The person holds her up by her collar, being able to do so due to being taller than Hilda despite Hilda not being considered short.

Hilda tries to swing her sword at her as he hits her sword away with his free hand, sending it flying.

“You probably shouldn't attack me. I can sell you out to the guards you know? Besides, you'll be of great help to me and I to you if you cooperate.” The person puts Hilda down, removing the cloth from his face, revealing himself as the rebellion leader she saw next to her poster with an estimated level of 400-500.

“What the hell do you want with me?” Hilda picks her sword back up.

“How rude, don't I deserve some gratitude for helping you?” He starts acting hurt in an exaggerated manner, irritating Hilda.

“You know, you're reminding me of a particularly annoying person right now.” Hilda recalls how white has basically said the same thing in an identical manner.

“You are a guest invited to the tower just like most of us, but you have full access to the system.”

“Get to the point.” Hilda mutters softly but loud enough for him to hear.

  “I need your help in—”

“No.” Hilda flips him off, effectively interrupting him.

“— helping to rebel.” He finishes.

  “I just said no.”

“Too late. If you don't, the king will start to hunt you down eventually.

“Why would he?” Hilda glances around, realising that the room she's in is particularly big, made with bricks made of stone with a couple of pillars holding up the place.

“You destroyed a city after all though… you don't seem nearly strong enough to do so. Is there something wrong with your system currently?” He guesses.

  “So what if there is?”

“Then I'll have to wait for it to be fixed before you'll be of help.”

“I already said, I'm not helping.” Hilda flips him off again.

“Wait and listen to me first. I already said it'll benefit you.” He says, making Hilda hesitate for a moment.

  “Fine, what is it?”

“I'll teach you how to fight.” He proposes.

“I already know how to fight.” Hilda argues back, causing him to point at her sword then his neck.

  “Try it.”

Hilda swings her sword at her as he dodges with ease.

“You may be strong, but your fighting skills sucks.” He keeps dodging her attacks. “So, how about it?”

“Annoying guy, I want more.” Hilda keeps her sword back into her soul.

“I'll introduce you to someone to teach you in the future?” He adds on to his previous deal.

“Hmm.. fine, but if you suck at teaching I'll rat you out even if it means I get screwed over too.” Hilda claims, making him smirk due to knowing she won't do so, annoying her even further. “But… are you broke? Is that why I'm not getting paid points instead?” He freezes up for a moment.

  “... Knew it.” Hilda sighs.
