Chapter 67: Commander of the Seas

Although he was invigorated by the rousing success of his first Chosen, the next batch didn't have any miracles. Each one failed without exception, soon combined into a new Abomination and sent off elsewhere. The only thing that actually went according to pn was getting rid of the weakness of the Night Hunters. Now they could move around during the day as much as they wanted to.

However, Jason was still frustrated by the Chosen failures and left the Orion Facility to get some fresh air. Being down underground for so long was starting to suffocate him a bit. Eventually, he found a nearby park to test whether or not he could consume pnt life. Based on the sheer ck of anything green surrounding him, it turned out wonderfully.

"Alright! Now this is what I'm talking about. A step in the right direction after so many failures."

Satisfied with this new development, Jason made his way back to the Docks while consuming anything environmentally friendly. He also picked up any random stragglers that wanted to join his Horde. Unfortunately for him though, the city wasn't exactly known for having giant forests and woods, so the amount he could eat wasn't very high. But he thought it was better than nothing at least.

After a period of time, Jason reached the now barren Docks. There were still a few infected here and there, but they were ones he left behind to keep an eye out. He chose a particurly intelligent special infected to watch things over for him here. They looked far different than most others, having a giant mouth positively chock full of sharp teeth which was also their main weapon. At the same time, he gave strict orders to capture any humans who came around alive. When Jason arrived here, the leading special infected had already appeared in front of him.

"Give me the lowdown on what's happened." The rge mouthed infected started to speak. Although Jason gave him the ability to do so, it was simir to Trixie.

"Y-Yesh Ma-Mashter." Unfortunately, nothing too major happened besides them capturing a small group of humans, only a dozen in number. It seemed they were wandering about and happened upon the Docks randomly.

Asking them to be brought to him, the rge mouthed infected left and returned within no time at all. Looking upon the frightened humans in front of him, Jason caressed his chin with one hand, the other behind his back. He circled them with a thinking expression, humming to himself occasionally.

"Hm, makes me realize I have to breed them don't I? Oh how the bance of power turns. Humans do the same to animals because they are stronger, then I do it to them. But… these don't look bad. Aren't wide hips good for child bearing or something like that?" He muttered under his breath, not caring if they heard or not. Based on the looks on their faces, they most certainly did.

However, they soon saw as the monster in front of them frowned slightly. He suddenly stopped moving, staring at them with those devilish bck eyes.

"Seven men and four women? How strange. A random burst of OCD is rearing it's ugly head up my ass. Hey! Uh…" He looked towards the awaiting rge mouthed infected, seemingly trying to come up with something.

"I'll call you… Toothy! Now, take these three men and eat them. My treat." Although disappointed in his name, the newly called Toothy became excited at the end of his Master's words.

  "What the fuck?!"

  "You can't bh bh!"

"Bh bh! Baah bh bh!" Jason started ignoring the crying humans as Toothy and his subordinates took away the three poor victims to their doom. However, something made him pause.

"Not my boyfriend! Please!" He held up his hand, all infected stopping at once. Getting closer to the frightened dy, he bent down and looked into her eyes. Filled with fear, but also determination.

"Little dy, you're very lucky. Because I'm a sucker for romance." Backing up, Jason pointed at a random man who became stunned.

"Take this one instead. Leave the other." Toothy was confused but did as he said. It wasn't like he could refuse anyway.

As Jason started walking away, he heard a whisper. It was very low, as if the person didn't want anyone else to hear.

"Thank you." He turned around, looking directly at the brave woman who pleaded for her boyfriend. She looked surprised that he heard her, which soon turned to terror when seeing him grin.

"Thanking me? Oh dear, you're not going to enjoy what comes next. No spoilers though! Hehe…" He chuckled to himself seeing her confusion, but simply kept moving towards his goal. At the same time, he mentally ordered Toothy to transport the humans back to the Facility and told them about not touching the Infestation.

As for himself, Jason soon arrived next to the body of water where the cargo ship still was. He peered down over the edge, looking deeper into the water with his enhanced vision. There, he could see the hundreds of aquatic lifeforms swimming about. Some were idle, but most were fighting one another and viciously eating their victims like savage beasts. However, this didn't decrease their numbers in the slightest. Not only were they reproducing, more and more were flooding in from the outside ocean.

"Hm, the newer ones are… different. And they don't have that cloudy vision. Probably not under the control of that Cthulhu wannabe."

Jason paid attention to the fish who were born out of two infected parents. He noticed how much stronger and smarter they seemed to be, far above most of the others. Through this, he came to the conclusion that making two infected reproduce would lead to the child becoming stronger than the parents.

"Would it be the same for me as well? I did have that idea to inject my sperm into one of Queenie's eggs..." He wondered to himself, already imagining mini versions of himself running around calling him daddy.

"Maybe a little soon for that."

Shaking his head, he threw such thoughts of fatherhood to an unknown region of his mind and cannon balled into the water. As soon as he arrived, he spread out his Domination Aura and easily took control of them. However, he didn't break the connection of the mind controlled ones as he would use it to track down the octopus. For now, he ordered them to stay put and continue what they were doing. He wanted to see how they would evolve if left by themselves.

Thanks to eating some of the fish previously, Jason had no problems at all when it came to swimming. That also applied to breathing as he had gills on the side of his neck for assistance. It took little time for him to make his way into the wide open ocean, growing his aquatic Horde simply by passing by all the wildlife. In fact, he hadn't seen even a single healthy creature the entire time, which made some sense to him.

However, as he looked out into the mostly empty ocean, he couldn't help but chuckle a little as he looked around.

"Little spooky…" Luckily, he wasn't human anymore and didn't have thassophobia like in the past. With confidence in his own power, he swam forwards so fast he resembled Aquaman.

Then, nothing. Over twenty minutes of constant moving in a singur direction resulted in a steaming pile of nothing. The only thing he did do during this time was consume almost everything in his path, whether it be the pnt life or otherwise. He wasn't all too concerned about not adding the majority to his Horde for a few reasons. One of which was learning about reproducing his own forces, which he pnned to do ter. As such, he happily ate away and even had the idea to do the same above ground. However if he found one he liked for whatever reason, he chose to be merciful and add them to his ranks.

Suddenly, he paused and looked in the distance. He could see a small bck dot coming towards him quickly. For a second, he thought it might have been the octopus who somehow knew he was tracking it. However, that was proven false when he got a better look at the unknown creature.

"A… whale?" The dot soon revealed itself as a massive blue whale, nearly three times bigger than a normal one at 95 meters in length.

Unlike normal blue whales, this one had bck lines going across it's shiny skin. Within it's open mouth as it gobbled up any creature in it's path, massive sharp teeth could be seen. In fact, there were strangely rge amounts flesh still stuck in a few of them. Each of the fins looked razor sharp and able to slice through even the toughest of materials. However, the tail was far different and looked almost like a mace. The skin across it's body gleamed slightly like metal and seemed impenetrable. But Jason could clearly see that wasn't the case. On the left side, right above the fin, a massive chunk was taken out of the flesh. Based on the wound, Jason could see it was done by a shark.

Finding it interesting, he waited for it to swim his direction. It didn't seem like the whale was aiming for him at all, just leisurely swimming along and enjoying an afternoon snack while waiting for it's wound to heal. When closer, Jason immediately tried to dominate it. Besides a slight resistance at first, it went smoothly and according to pn. Although this whale was almost as strong as an Alpha, it wasn't quite there yet to block his control.

Instantly, the whale sent emotions of happiness and joy towards Jason. Swimming towards him, it smmed it's head into his chest and rubbed it up and down. While startled at first by this sudden dog-like reaction, he smiled and patted the whale on the head.

"You're like a puppy. I knew I had a good feeling about you at the start." The same emotions were sent once more at his words. But as he sent his tendrils into the whale's body to heal the wound, he had suddenly had an idea spring to mind.

"I do need someone in the ocean to build up my underwater Horde don't I? There are purely Aquatic Worlds out there, so it'd be a good idea to start now. I can just throw the work onto you can't I?" The more he thought about it, the better it sounded to him. With that in mind, he began giving the whale a power boost, a portion of his Domination Aura, higher limiter, and the ability to heal from eating lifeforms.

"I'll name you Nox, Commander of the Seas!" The newly named Nox roared in joy, his voice echoing out for miles.

Once finished with healing Nox and improving his capabilities, Jason waved his hand like a righteous king ordering his vassal to go to war.

"Go now Nox! Dominate all in your path and grow the Horde! Any who block you must be sughtered without mercy!" With another roar, Nox swam away with excitement. At the same time, Jason mentally commanded his current forces behind him to follow after Nox.

Jason watched him go with a smile, almost as if he was a proud dad watching his son go to college.

"That was fun. But now, it's time to go a little deeper." His eyes peered down, a somewhat serious and solemn look appearing on his face. Although he didn't see them, he could sense them. They were hiding within that pitch bck, void-like depth. And some of them were so strong he felt even Athena would lose to them.

Despite that, he grinned and rushed down into the depths of the water without hesitation. He had no choice, as his prey was down there.

"I'm coming for you, little octopus."

  ( Jason )

I have no idea how long it's been, swimming down further and further into the depths. All I know, is that I must be deep. Light had faded nearly an hour ago, and the pressure surrounding me had built up, increasing every minute. Luckily, my eyes were good enough to see around me for a good distance and the pressure wasn't enough to even tickle me. However, sure is barren around here.

I've noticed the decrease in all life in general besides some random infected fish here and there. But the strange thing is, these guys have no eyes. It seemed when they turned, the virus saw fit to remove them and instead bless their other senses. Even the slightest of movements are detected by them, causing them to rush straight for the enemy with their unusally lethal teeth. It's like they can feel the vibrations in the water.

But I didn't just leave them alone like some asshole and brought them with me, gathering a good little mini force here. It was less than the ten grand I gave Nox, but these ones seemed a lot stronger so I guess it bances out. As for any Alphas or Uniques, I only ran into one of them. Some kind of mega armored fish, about half the size of Nox. In fact, it looked exactly like a Dunkleosaurus besides a few things here and there. As for it's strength, it was only a bit stronger than Scarface. Though, I never directly fought it as the smart bastard bent the knee instantly.

After diving a good deal deeper into the depths, I paused. The area I found myself in was, to put it simply, big. Very, fucking big. But there was nothing. No life, no flooring, just bnk as far as the eye could see. Would certainly scare even the bravest. Just as I was about to order my minions to split up and search for clues like the Scooby Gang, I spotted something off in the distance. It was… a little bright light. Seems so mesmerizing now that I think about it. Perfect even. It should be mine, mine alone and no one else's-

"Wait a second." I shook my head, getting myself out of the strange daze. Looking around, I noticed my minions all slowly swimming towards it. The only other one who had woken up on their on, was the Dunkleosaurus Alpha I grabbed. This guy needs a name. Maybe… Dunken? Ah, my genius naming sense never fails to amaze myself.

Cpping my hands and breaking all the others out of the daze, I made them come behind me as we swam towards the light. The closer we got, the rger and more beautiful it became. As if it was the only thing worth looking at in the entire universe. By the time we were only fifty or so meters away, the light was twice as tall as me. As we stopped in pce, I heard something. A low, deep growl which echoed throughout the dark waters. Looking closer and trying to ignore the brightness of the light, I saw something connected to it.

Following the long piece of flesh down, the owner of the light was revealed. Just barely, I could see the absolutely horrid and frightening face of some kind of creature. With the light, dark area, and the general look of this monster, I came to a single conclusion. Angler fish, one mutated beyond normal recognition by the virus.

"Kill it!" I waved my hand, commanding the entire mini Horde behind me to rush forwards. The Angler fish growled deeper as the light moved back, allowing me to fully take in it's form.

The body had changed a bit, becoming somewhat more humanoid and nearly 350ft long. Although it cked legs and had the same fins as previously, the creature did have two humanish arms. However, they were very short and only had three finger cws on each hand. The length of them basically made this bastard look like a T-Rex. The face of this freak was horrifying though. It had small dead looking eyes and a ft nose. The majority of it's face was the mouth, full of extremely long and sharp thin teeth.

Suddenly, it roared out with anger as the light on top of it's head started to shine even brighter. Having an idea something was about to happen, I mentally commanded my forces to split up except for Dunken who seemed to be waiting. After just a few seconds, the light exploded and sent these bright beams outward from it's position. Wherever the beams went, the water surrounding them boiled and even evaporated. When it touched one of my minions, they instantly perished and were cooked alive. Thankfully, my forward thinking saved a lot of them.

Just then! Dunken came in with a vast amount of momentum and smashed his head into the Angler's body. The monster roared in pain and fury as the area of impact sank a bit, using it's T-Rex arms to grab Dunken. The fingers dug into his skin, causing my poor minion to wail out in agony. Meanwhile, the rest of the Horde wasn't sitting still. They surrounded the Angler and took tiny chunks off it's flesh with their teeth, momentarily distracting it. Using this chance, Dunken opened his jaws and cmped down on the thing's arm. He acted like a shark, shaking his head from side to side to tear it off.

The Angler wailed in pain and ignored the other fish. Still holding Dunken in pce, it opened it's mouth and bit into him. It tore off a massive chunk of his armor and flesh, coating the nearby water in blood. By the looks of it, my guys would lose this fight. Although, they would definitely do some major damage to this freak of nature. However, I've watched enough and decided to get involved. Can't let my adorable Dunken die after all.

With a thought, my right arm transformed into a new weapon I had created during my time here. Specifically suited for these conditions, my changed arm had become a giant cannon. To put it simply, it shoots out high powered bullets made out of water pressure. Unfortunately, this meant it only works underwater. And the deeper I go, the stronger it becomes.

Aiming my cannon right at the Angler's side, I fired a shot and recoiled a few feet backwards. At the same time, a small shockwave was produced. Hearing the noise, the Angler was about to take another bite of Dunken and turned it's head. Just in time to see my 'bullet' sm into it's side. The power tore through it's body, sending flesh flying everywhere as it came out the other side. While roaring in massive agony, Dunken took this opportunity to completely tear off the arm. Even after all this time, my little warrior hadn't stopped biting it.

Finally freeing himself, Dunken swam a distance away and was about to ram it when I raised my hand. Instantly, all the fish tearing into the Angler's body backed off as I swam towards it. It's form looked a little weak and even the light on it's head was dimmer than previously. Still, it tried it's best to fight back against me like an idiot. Nimbly dodging it trying to grab me, I raised my left hand and punched it square in the face.

There was a massive boom as a few teeth were knocked out. I could even hear the bones underneath break under my power. In an instant, I came before it's head and pced my hand on it. My cannon was pced right against it's face, aimed right at the brain.

"Don't be stubborn." Within just a few moments, I dominated this Angler bastard and brought him into my aquatic Horde.

While I healed him up, along with Dunken, I searched through his memories for any juicy information. Just as I was about to stop, I noticed something.

"What the… fuck? How can something like this be real?"
