“Let's hear the proposal for an excellent and rapidly engaged expansion!" Zoli opened the meeting. As discussed in a previous meeting, today's meeting would be all about incorporating Zone 3 into the customer service scheme. Engineering even provided a scale model of the Zone, nicely painted in different shades to reflect the plant cover. There were some miniatures too, representing the proposed employees.
Someone definitely had too much free time – painting miniatures in work time was an offense, punishable by termination!
Luckily for the probably bored engineer, their hobby was related to the job, so Zoli let the issue slide.
The Zone itself was mostly just two by two-point-three kilometers of gently sloping hillside with a few small summits, with everything covered in dense woods, and only two herbally challenged smaller peaks providing diversity. The smaller, lower one was situated close to Zone 1, overlooking that part of the stream valley, and the other, larger, higher further to the North, also overlooking the same stream.
Besides those, there were a few ravines and gulches, sporting a little pool or two and a couple of rapids.
Zoli felt the previous CEO didn't make much of an effort sculpting the Zone, but he had enough to do with correcting the employee situation to start changing the terrain too. Maybe, when sufficient progress was made, he could direct Engineering, Zoning, and O&A to work out a viable proposition.
“As we discussed earlier, the Dread Wild Cat, Hogs or the Wild Dogs were envisioned for the position of Zone Leader." Dana started the presentation, with Jenette and Colette flanking her. "The Management Team's aggregate metrics point to fostering the career of the Hogs here, postponing the promotion of the other two candidates."
“Reasoning?”
“From the three candidates, only the Boar passes safety regulations for such an early Zone. Especially the Wild Dog Pack with that strange little woofer of Dire Wild Dog is maximizing extensive paradigms of… how to put it… kill the customer's asses dead."
“The Boar comes with a sounder of other Hogs, no? How could that be more safety-focused, than a pack of Dogs?"
“Well, honored CEO, sir, while all are technically Representative Agents, having 'Dire' and 'Dread' in their names makes them more… excellent in delivering customer service. Like the Boar is a first-level new hire, the Dire Dog a second-level agent, already having worked some time for the company, and the quarterly assessment places them in the Top 10% and so forth. The Wild Dog Pack could most likely slaughter the Boar, even on the same Level."
“Ah, I understand. Continue!”
“We strategized to orchestrate the Boar and the Sounder to elastically wander the Zone separately. To seize error-free services, the customer would have to engage the Zone Leader first, since we found a way to implement scaling systems into the Process Map.”
“How so?”
“The more Hogs of the Sounder are defeated, the more competent the Zone Leader will be. While the current maximum Level would be 6, with this integrated system we could extend the growth to Level 12.”
“The Sounder has 14 pigs, no? Placing this scheme in Zone 3 would undercut possible cooperative interfaces, no?”
“Yes, honored CEO, sir. While placing the Sounder, the Boar, and the scheme into Zone 4, we could maximize the potential, going all the way to Level 16, Quality Management pointed out, that defeating Squeakers and Juveniles wouldn't be as challenging, as dealing with the more mature versions. We would propose to implement another sub-scheme, where defeating the former two would empower the dominant Sow, but not the Zone Leader."
“In order to exploit that niche, we would need to promote the Sow to a Deputy Zone Leader position, honored CEO, sir," Ellen added.
“So, from the three positions, one would be occupied by the Sow… By the way, isn’t there a more polite way to call a Deputy Zone Leader?”
“Unfortunately no, sir. We checked a dictionary, and ‘Sow’ is the correct term.”
If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
“It’s still offensive. Are you sure, we won’t get backlash?”
“Well, we can’t guarantee it, sir. It would only take one person, who misunderstands the terminology…”
“Sir, I have a solution!" Jenette exclaimed "We could use a synonym of 'sow', like spread, strew, or dibble. It would be almost correct."
“I like the idea! The Dominant Sow will be called Dominant Dibble from now on!”
“Yes, honored CEO, sir!”
“Benchmark the two schemes, and facilitate client-centric experiences!”
“Yes, honored CEO, sir!”
“All right, with the Dominant Dibble promoted, what is the proposition for the other two positions? Some random Agent?"
“Honored CEO, sir, we would like to utilize that ruined fake watermill and hire spiders. We already have networked fungible synergies of scenarios. We found a place in the Org Chart for two Giant Web Spiders, ten smaller Webbing Spiderlings, and a collection of different normal venomous Spiders. Most of those can participate in streamlining the innovative webbing of the mill and the environs too."
“We suggest making a Rule, that the mill itself is fire-proof” Ellen added “Otherwise the customers could exploit efficient models to burn everything to the ground.”
“That would mean investing MPD income, sir." Raymond from Finances cautioned "At the moment we could front the cost, but getting Higher Passive Absorption, a similar Perk, or other means of generating revenue would be imperative."
Raymond was correct. Most of the MPD went into the upkeep – or salary – of the Management Team and their departments, with the dungeon's upkeep comparatively low. That was with only two Zones complete, though.
“Would it be cheaper to let everything burn down?”
“No, sir. Re-hiring the spiders is more or less free, as is re-building the mill, but the revenue we would get from arson is way lower than from direct confrontation."
“All right, Rule it is. Does the Org Chart point out the need to promote both Giant Web Spiders to Deputy Zone Leader status?”
“Actually no, sir. According to the Process Map and the Org Chart, there should be only one Deputy Zone Leader in the mill, with the other Web Spider being a Senior Agent, with six of the Spiderlings also in that salary bracket."
“What about the other possible positions?”
“We have prepared a few possibilities, sir. One is to maintain the granular niche market, put forward in Zone 2, and have a special offer encounter once daily. We would reserve either a Deputy Zone Leader or a Senior Agent position for that.”
“No, we should hold on to special offers. Maybe only for even Zones."
“Yes, honored CEO, sir. The second possibility is to put a fish into the mill’s pond, and a few waterfowl and turtles into this swampy place next to Zone 4.”
“That scheme has some merit. Other ideas?”
“This larger hill here could support either a snake or this Rock Turtle. Also, we could seed the forest with a few surprise encounters. For example a family of Beavers in one of the ravines.”
“All right, this is what we will do. Put a Senior Agent and some simple Agents into the pond, you can even enlarge it a bit, and a Deputy Zone Leader bird into that swampy place. A few other birds and turtles won’t hurt either. Find a place on the Org Chart for a Senior Agent there. And finally, make that beaver dam happen, you can plan with the last Senior Agent position. As for the hill… Just a couple of Agents. Hire poisonous snakes.”
“Poisonous or venomous ones, sir?”
“The one, that bites you. Take the ones from Zone 1. They look competent enough.”
“Yes, honored CEO, sir.”
“Sir, we have a Catfish for the pond. We could matrix a scheme, where it grows larger, every day it isn’t caught.”
“Funny idea! Good!”
“There is probably room enough for a few Pikes too, and some Interns. Winston, what do you think, should we make the pond larger?”
“Hmmm… It is already five hundred by hundred fifty meters, we should leave it as it is.”
“All right, making it bigger would make it reach the swampy place too anyway.”
“Reviewing the Org Chart, we propose a Swamp Mallard as Deputy Zone Leader and a Gem Turtle as Senior Agent. With a further four to six normal Gem Turtles as Agents, the merchandise issue would be partly taken care of too."
“Hire a dozen Interns too, and make them hide. The customers would need to expend resources to acquire the merchandise. On second thought, alter the Process Map, so the Agents and Senior Agent hide too. They should make a showing only to encourage the customers to search the whole plot."
“Yes, honored CEO, sir! We will also hire some other birds as Interns and Agents. The Beavers and Snakes won’t be a problem, sir.”
“Good. Now with the Org Chart completed, let’s move on to the merchandize.”
