As the world turns once more and night shifts to day Yorun awakens as the days first light shines through the window, he gets up using magic to clean himself, the cloak and armour as he teleports the armour on. Yorun walks from his room to the war room and uses his new hand to wipe the sleep from his face now that it feels more natural, when he enters he finds Sunhale already awake though only by a little earlier than Yorun as he can see the sleep still draining from his face.
"Well ready to see Isaile Yorun?" Sunhale asked
"Well I'm as ready as I can be to properly speak to an elven monarch who's around a thousand years old and far stronger than me" Yorun said somewhat sarcastically
"Alright the sarcasms warranted but seriously you ready?" Sunhale said
"Yes I am, despite the power they've got and even being a chosen I've faced a lot since we last met I am far more alright with this than you'd likely expect" Yorun said
"Then let's head to Qur'Anther" Sunhale said
Yorun puts his helmet on then cloak hood over it before both men then teleport to Qur'Anther where all noise from the normal citizens going about there life goes silent as everyone's attention turns to Sunhale and Yorun, they both walk toward the palace with Yorun looking around as they do so, no matter where they are people quiet down and stare at them but Yorun knows that their gaze may initially be at Sunhale it focuses on him. To them he is the mysterious necromancer even if they had seen him before or know something about him, he knows his presence is unique in their minds, a chosen, dragon armour and an army of the dead at his beck and call.
"The streets of Qur'Anther are rarely THIS quiet" Sunhale said somewhat impressed by the presence that Yorun gives off
"Admittedly I think the presence of someone like me is very much going to give this kind of reaction no matter what city I'm in and regardless of which empire" Yorun said
"True, alright the palace is different to the ones you humans would construct though that is something you could likely put together given the rest of the city" Sunhale said with Yorun nodding in response
As they approach the palace the guards of the gate react little to Yoruns presence as they've been told what to expect they kneel and bow their heads to the both of them.
"Our monarch eternal awaits you both, may you go with otapers grace" The guards say in unison as the gate lowers
Yorun follows Sunhale through the wooded halls open to the sky above yet he feels the magic coursing around them, stronger than anything in the fortress he has as his armies base of power, he can feel magic similar to that which was used to restrain Golanier yet less targeted and far more powerful with a tinge of different divine magics coursing through it as well. As they head into the little clearing that is the throne room Yorun sees Isaile standing in front of their throne looking at them both, Sunhale kneels and bows his head.
"Monarch Isaile, I have brought Raeknar, should you wish it I can leave so you both can speak" Sunhale said
"Leave for now Sunhale, I would like to speak to 'Raeknar' alone" Isaile said
Sunhale nods then gets up turning to Yorun and patting him on the shoulder as if to say good luck then leaves. Moments after Sunhale leaves a chair grows out of the ground like a tree just behind Yorun.
"Please take a seat" Isaile said as they outstretched their hand to motion to the new chair
Yorun sits and looks at the ancient figure before him do the same, using his magic he opens the front of his helmet to show his face.
"So 'Raeknar' shall we continue with the hidden identity or shall we start with the little bit of trust building?" Isaile said having gone through the manoeuvrings of such a meeting countless times
"Given what is a possible outcome of todays meeting, your reputation as a good ruler and the simple fact you could have found out by now... I am Yorun, a farmer from an outskirts village in the Fiernian Empire by the name of Kurinet" Yorun said
"Such a simple life and yet here you are talking with the monarch of the Wooralian empire while waging a war against your home empire. Strange the ways life takes us isn't it?" Isaile said
"As if its purely the whims of a random universe either of us ended up in this meeting, the gods had their hands all over our lives be it directly or indirectly even with our free will" Yorun said
"True as the words may be the gods are not the cause of all our woes, so tell me how does a farmer from a village we confirmed was destroyed end up here? A chosen of the god of death and justice?" Isaile asked and Yoruns face darkens with his eyes going dead
"Greed, Emperor Durinkals taxes got raised before we could gather enough, it was sprung on us the day of us handing the money over. They know they don't need all these outskirts villages to have enough money so they didn't care about wiping out a village to make the others work hard enough to give more. They killed everyone in the village that day, myself included... Imagine my surprise when I woke up" Yorun said with his voice sounding almost saddened at the last words
"I cannot imagine that feeling, did you have any family?" Isaile asked
"My wife and two children, burned alongside me and all of us killed at once. Its almost cruel the ability to raise the dead but not in a way to bring them back and yet Raeknar gave me the ability to bring them back properly, I just need to bring justice and avenge their deaths" Yorun said

"I know the pain of losing family, especially those taken far to early... I never had children, such a thing must seem odd coming from a monarch whos line surely must continue but I was not the one destined for this throne on which I sit, my sister and then her child were meant to be however back then our parents still ruled. Then came your soul bound ally, in the cruellest of fashions he killed everyone starting with my nephew giving him a slow death through a curse that was like an illness" Isaile said
"I wish I could say I'm surprised but I know his cruelty knew no bounds in life" Yorun said
"We watched as during the war his young body broke down, he got weaker and yet he never lost his smile even when the cursed thing never left him. Around that young boy the perils of the outside world didn't exist and yet it was effecting him so badly... Even in all my long life that boys smile has not left my mind and that is a blessing else I'd be stuck with nothing but his final hours where he didn't even know what was going on" Isaile said with a tear forming in their eyes before running down their wrinkled face
"No family should have to see their youngest die before them especially in such a manner, as a parent without his children I know that pain and yet I don't, I've had the comfort of being able to bring them back but losing them forever until entering the next life? Soul crushing in a way I cannot fathom and nevertheless have the strength to do what I do or what you've done after that" Yorun said as he looked to the sky and casually but caringly handed a handkerchief to Isaile who used it to wipe their eyes
"You are wise for one with a short lifespan Yorun and you have gone through such hardships that makes my old heart ache and resonate with yours. With just this conversation, sad as the memories are, they tell a lot of the kind of man you are so it gives me more reason to listen to your words. Please tell me your end game other than the resurrection of your village" Isaile said
"Despite everything, I have no interest in taking certain stances others would think of, we have a good member of the imperial family as an ally same with the noble Pertaki family. I plan to prop them in their right place while doing away with their family, course for a while things would be unstable and no doubt some nations around our world would take advantage so the undead will still occupy the capital, surrounding areas and other cities as well as other locations we control for a period of time while still allowing the imperial forces to control the rest giving off a good strong look until the imperial forces are returned to full strength. Make no mistake however, I am not ruling and once my family and friends are returned to life then our village as well as those nearby, the ruined city of Gantoral and the fortress I occupy will leave the empire. We will not be beholden to an emperor again, at that point I'll give your peoples bodies back and keep the undead created from Ghairlakriar so human families can grieve their own as well" Yorun said
"You would be taking a vital location from the human empire by taking the fortress" Isaile said
"Be that as it may, at the end of the war I will be controlling it and the empire will be broken, they will not be in a position to negotiate and I highly doubt any nation will want the Fiernian empire having full access to Ghairlakriars corpse" Yorun said
"And they'd rather have an independent faction with the ability to fight empires alone having it?" Isaile asked curious on his response
"I am a chosen of the god of death and justice, I just broke one of the empires of the world and hopefully have after this meeting an ally in you and your empire. They'll either like it or risk some severe diplomatic recompense plus there is plenty of justice to dispense around these other empires, if they wish to test their mettle they're welcome too as they'll be putting my newly resurrected family in danger. I would tear those empires down for that" Yorun said with his helmet closing back over as underneath his eyes glow green with flickers of black around the green
"Fascinating that as you say that your magic reacts to close off your face with your helmet" Isaile said
"Feels more natural I suppose" Yorun said
"Come a long way from just being a farmer hm?" Isaile said
"I guess so" Yorun said
"You swear to give my peoples bodies back to their families?" Isaile asked as they got up while holding themself up with their walking stick they extend a hand
"Everyone needs to grieve their own how they can, they may only be the bodies but I will respect that when the day comes for the bodies to be laid to rest once more I will have them returned and that day will be when my quest is done" Yorun said
Yorun reaches out and shakes Isailes hand but during those few seconds a near imperceptible interaction takes place as behind Isaile and Yorun the gods they're the chosen of appear for the tiniest moment so much so that Isaile and Yorun didn't even see and barely sensed their presence.
"Was that...?" Yorun said with his voice trailing off
"I guess so, we made a rudimentary deal, it is only logical they have their own" Isaile said
"We should finalise the points in which our alliance stands" Yorun said
"For good relations with you post war and the return of my peoples bodies when the war is done we will have a commercial and military pact then as such the cities and villages under your control will be supplied when they cannot do so themselves and we shall aid each each other in taking and holding territory within the Fiernian empire. To further that goal anyone within my empires military should they perish in a battle you will be allowed to take their bodies to further speed up this war to it's end" Isaile said
"Then I believe our business is concluded" Yorun said
"It is indeed, I truly hope you can get your family and friends back Yorun" Isaile said as Yorun turned away from them yet before walking away he looks back
"Your sister and nephew, what were their names?" Yorun asked
"Enyaj and little Racso" Isaile said causing Yorun to look away from Isaile to Raeknar whos now appeared before him in a way where only Yorun can see them
"Do you remember them Raeknar? Did they have good afterlives?" Yorun asked telepathically
"I remember every soul that has passed into my realm regardless of where they ended up, they still walk Artiel's streets enjoying their time, they watch over Isaile regularly" Raeknar said
Yorun then looks back at Isaile.
"They are doing well in Artiel and continue to watch you to this day" Yorun said with his last words forming tears in Isailes eyes once more
Yorun walks out of the clearing, through the palace halls and then out of the palace where Sunhale awaits, Sunhale is curious about how the meeting went and looks to his friend but no words come out as Yorun can guess just from the look.
"It went well Sunhale, I know not how it'll be announced as I still know overall little of Isaile yet it will be announced" Yorun said
"Well done Yorun, the announcement will likely be made quietly to those high up in the government after which it'd be announced publicly, not only to every elf in the empire but across the Fiernian empire too" Sunhale said
"Alright, let's return to the fortress for now, I'll explain how things went down and my ideas for the future" Yorun said receiving a nod in response
They teleport away leaving the city to take a sigh of relief, the people of the city while they know they hosted Yorun before have since heard the stories and were without realising it unnerved by his presence yet even then as the day winds down and elven officials are told of what will be announced both the Fiernian and Wooralian Empires will shake as the small agreement between elves and undead becomes a full alliance...
