Interlude IX - Aria: The Destined Fundamental - Act 2

  “We served about seven years in the army. It has been about two and a half years since the fall of King Veyron, slain by a Soul-Wielder of no name. We were issued to join a completely separate faction within the army ordered by the new and late crowned King of Veyronia and leader of Dark-Intrinium; however he prefers not to call himself ‘king’.”

  “Uprising of Kytron - a group made to honor the name of King Kytron Veyron and his undying legacy to change into the New World. Avu and I were transported into this group with a few others. I'll just say this group has one interesting range of characters and niche interests but overtime we grew to connect.”

  ===

  “Are you two the last ones to join?” A guy had approached both Avu and Aria, the two of which just arrived at their new location they would soon call ‘home’. The guy didn’t have much to him, for a matter of fact, he seemed a little “too” ordinary to be hanging around in such a place, but his demeanor was very open and considerate.

  “There aren't many of us here- but apparently we are set to become some type of elites- OH- sorry about that, your names are…”

  “Avu, my name is Avu and this is my younger sister, Aria.” Avu stood tall, barely matching the guy’s height. It was like Avu didn’t really look being standing over which was why he took the initiative in introducing himself and for his sister.

  “H-hello..” Aria was a bit nervous so it didn’t seem like she would’ve had an easy time introducing herself, but not only that, she has been around a lot of men during her time in the army but never has seen or been around a man like the guy standing before them.

  “Just first names huh? Well it’s nice to meet you two! My name is-” The guy was pushed aside by another man, he seemed very to himself and not a hint of emotion on his face, so what’s his problem?

  “Having to use the backbone of this army while having people on the level of a janitor is embarrassing, so a little word of advice to you two: Do not interfere with my work, or I’ll bat the both of you.” The menacing man said to them, standing over Aria specifically since she was the most nervous one in the room.

  It’s like his eyes were meant to shine an emerald green, something so bright and cosmic but at one point seemingly failed and now is left a hollow, dusk, voided green. His other features contained having brown hair and a streaking mullet, the rest seemed above average but it was easy to tell that he is here for a reason and a good reason alone.

  “For now- the two of you can just call me ‘Heios’, the rest, you’ll need to earn it.” Heios grunted, shoving past Aria. “-you’ll need to earn your whole life here or simply be crushed.” Heios said before leaving the room.

  “Ehh-mmm…” Aria was a bit shaky and quite honestly did not understand what had just happened. The door opened behind them again, yet another person it seemed.

  “Oh goodness, what now? It better be more specimens… The Soul doesn’t wait for results..- oh, darkish hair, cosmic-azure eye color.. And well very specific-features- HMM- if I had to guess, you are a Jynbarian, are you not?” This seemingly madman was all over Aria, it’s like he had no awareness of a personal bubble.

  “MMMM- wha…” Aria was speechless.

  “You would be correct, we are from planet Jynbara, and you are-?” Avu stood tall, confirming this man’s suspicions.

  “Well might you call me Jasper, Jasper Emerson. Formally the Head of Research & Data Analysis Department… now seen within the ropes of the Late King of Veyronia - honor the Will and Wishes of his father… oh how things can be so different but I myself am not, I still remain- so allow yourself not to get ahead.. We are being watched..”

  The man, Jasper, smirked before quietly walking away to take care of his own business.

  “This place has a lot of interesting characters- we didn’t quite know your name.”

  Avu questioned the environment and its quirks but didn’t bother following up on it because most importantly, he wanted to know the name of the ordinary guy standing before him. “Oh! My name is Kyuga, Kyuga Mazda. It’s quite nice to have the two of you here! So… you are probably wondering why and I’ll answer that.”

  .:. I’ve never seen a man so composed and full of… life? It’s strange… Something about him is… charming. .:. Aria thought to herself.

  Kyuga Mazda had a sharp jet-black hair color with a two-tone fade hairstyle, his eyes had conflicting colors depending on the angle you view them, a side represented Nebula-Violet color and the other was simply just black. It really did seem like just an ordinary man but something about him made sure that he was far from normal…

  “Mazda- as in the Mazda Clan? One of the head groups in this entire galaxy?!” Avu recognized the surname anywhere after various studying and research into the archives.

  “Well- I guess you can say formerly Mazda Clan, it’s not so much of a clan now.” Kyuga scratched his head, chuckling a bit.

  “H- what do you mean?” Avu grew concerned, wondering why Kyuga had said that.

  “Maybe another time I can talk about it! For now, to answer your question as to why you are here- well this is going to be your new home! Our Lord specifically handpicked us soldiers to become elites or well in other words… some sort of Special Forces. Despite the name and the looks of it...” Kyuga dropped his tone.

  “-we are a group of Soul-Wielders tasked to capture and eliminate any targets that can get in the way… I am just as much a newbie as you guys are but I was well informed.” Kyuga explained.

  “I see, so who will become our mentor? My sister and I don’t really have much training to complete those sets of tasks.” Avu understood the synopsis but was wondering who would teach them.

  “Oh, our mentor, well- it seems they aren’t a Soul-Wielder themselves…”

  “No, not at all.”

  .:. Not a Soul-Wielder at all? What does that even mean? .:. Aria thought.

  “Not a Soul-Wielder. It was as clear as day, our mentor. That taught us all the techniques and ways of combat beyond just The Soul…”

  “This kind of man you will never see anywhere else… ever.”

  ===

  The large door opened into the throne within the Veyronia Palace.

  A man walked down the massive hall towards the chair, facing as the New King of Veyronia awaited.

  “My Lord, I have been summoned.” The man halted before the chair, kneeling over.

  “I have and you have been informed prior to your new task..” The King stood up.

  “I want your strength and power to create the deadliest force that has ever crossed this galaxy…”

  “Prime Berserker… Serith Arannis.”
