Volume 8. Chapter 48 A Large Needle, In An Oversized Haystack. (Chapter 749.)

Chapter 48 A Large Needle, In An Oversized Haystack.

Ruina watched how Celia was already starting to act like the woman she once knew, but didn’t try to stop her. If Celia went down the same path, Ruina would be a faithful daughter, and allow Celia her wishes.

Cynthia: “Very well. I shall tell you where Sehr liked to visit, and you can look for her in those places.” She said with a reluctant sigh.

Ria: “And what of the reward?” She asked with a raised eyebrow.

Cynthia: “Hm? Did I not write what the reward was on the request?” She replied with a head tilt, which seemed capable of moving mountains, given her stature.

Celia: “Come to think of it… the reward section was blank. I think that no one took that quest, as they thought it was a scam…” She added with a thinking pose.

  Cynthia: “…”

Before sending the girl off, Cynthia explained what the reward was. Specifically, it was a powerful and enchanted sword. Easily worth hundreds, if not thousands, of Orichalcum Coins. It honestly puts that assassin’s recently departed sword to shame…

Ria: “A cafe? What could a tiger want… coffee, sweets, or tea for?” She said with a bewildered tone, as Cynthia told Celia the locations in secret.

Celia: “She really did like those kinds of items. Though, Cynthia would personally take her there, rather than Sehr barging in alone.” She explained.

Ria: “Is that our first destination?” She asked in reply.

Celia: “No, Cafe Splend will be our last stop. After all, Cynthia didn’t take her to it, so Sehr is unlikely to be there. If she was… I’d imagine that there’d be screams of people yelling about Ghosts, or something along those lines.” She denied with a giggle.

Rather than appear in her full, large and apparent form, Celia had an inkling that Sehr was exploring while invisible. And as for why the Vermila Tiger had run away from home… Celia didn’t bother with figuring out a reason.

She didn’t really know the full story, and though Celia felt that Cynthia was being truthful, there could be missing parts of this puzzle, which neither of them know of just yet. As such, doing that would, in Celia’s opinion, just be a grand waste of their time…

  Four Hours Later.

Celia: “…A beautiful sight.” She mused with a sigh.

  Ria: “Indeed.” She agreed, somberly.

Ruina, compared to how active Midas’s System Helper is, was taking a hands-off approach to being Celia’s SH. In her heart, Ruina firmly believed that Celia’s life would always work out, and mostly for the better.

The last days of her previous life were a bit cruel, though, in a sense, it all worked out. But, this time… she couldn’t stay silent.

Ruina: “Celia, Cynthia gave you Sehr’s collar. Perhaps Midas can track that Sehr with it?” She suggested intently.

Celia: “Ah! You’re right… Midas could help us find Sehr!!” She exclaimed in her mind, putting even further value on her SH.

Ruina: “…” “Will Celia, in the future, be shocked to know that I’m her daughter?” She thought, mischievously, already awaiting that day when she can reveal all to her mother.
