Volume 8. Chapter 49: Getting Help From Her Future Wife. (Chapter 750.)

Chapter 49: Getting Help From Her Future Wife.

Technically, though she has her memories, Midas wasn’t beholden to the past rules; her soul cleansed. Specifically, she didn’t attempt to Evolve higher than a Goddess, so that she could eventually court Celia.

All Midas had to do… was wait until Celia was at least 18 years of age, marry her, and then Midas could Evolve without worry. In truth, the Goddess didn’t know if Xena put back in place the same age restriction and consent rules, but she wasn’t willing to test them being there or not.

Midas: “A Vermila Tiger went missing?” She repeated, curious if she heard right.

Celia: “Yes, we still have her collar, though. Would you be able to track Sehr with it?” She asked with a hopeful tone.

Even so, waiting for Celia to ripen was quite the painful experience for Midas. Like now, she found her almost irresistible. At this moment, or rather, each time she met Celia, Midas was just glad that she wasn’t a pedophile. She couldn’t feel arousal for Celia’s young body; thus, the Goddess could resist those temptations.

Midas: “That depends… Was this Vermila Tiger Level 250?” She replied with a thinking pose.

Ria: “Cynthia didn’t check for years, so we do not really know.” She answered in Celia’s stead.

Midas: “Hmm… Well, I can at least try. The mystery of the vanishing Vermila Tigers… is something that I have been interested in for a while. Celia, give me that collar.” She requested with an excited tone and expression.

  Thud!

Vermila Tigers were huge, so a collar for one was, of course, almost equal in size. Taking it out of her storage ring, the collar made a loud sound as it hit the expensive tiled floor of the Guild hall.

  Midas: “(- _ -)”

  After An Examination.

Ria: “Have you sensed anything, Lady Midas?” She asked with a somewhat curious tone.

Celia: “Hopefully she has, or Cynthia will be heartbroken…” She added with a sad tone, her expression equal to her voice.

Ria: “…” “Celia… shouldn’t care about other women. She should only care about me!” She angrily exclaimed in her mind.

Zia: “Ria? I feel the same: these overly possessive thoughts toward Celia… Either way, we must keep them in check. Just hold on until she is an adult, build up a closer relationship with her while waiting, and then we can get Celia as a wife.” She proposed, her tone wanting and stern.

As you’d expect, being practically the same person, Ria had the same plan in mind. Ah, I actually forgot about how many of Celia’s wives were yanderes…

Midas: “The Mana on it is faint.” She finally said with a sigh.

Celia: “…Meaning?” She replied, now shaken.

Midas: “Sehr has died, or, somehow, her Mana has fundamentally changed from the type that monsters use.” She answered, not happy about potentially upsetting her future wife.

  Celia: “…”

Midas: “Celia, the last location I detected her at… is a cafe. Specifically, Cafe Splend, an upscale cafe for nobles, which I started to frequent going to.” She added, hoping that this would ease Celia’s startled emotions.

Celia: “Great, thank you, Midas!” She shouted with a bright smile, before then rushing out of the Guild with gusto.

Ria: “Lady Ria, please wait for me!” She exclaimed, pulling herself out of those dark thoughts a bit too late.

  Midas: “…”
