Volume 8. Chapter 50: A Rush Job. (Chapter 751.)

  Chapter 50: A Rush Job.

By the time that Celia reached Cafe Splend, the sun had set. Luckily, this cafe was open even deep into the night, as nobles tend to… do secret deals, while the darkness there shrouds their actions.

Ria: “…Lady Celia, it has been an hour already.” She reluctantly voiced.

Celia: “I know…” She replied with a sigh.

Despite looking all around this place, they found no hint of Sehr here at all. This greatly diminishes a lot, if not all, of Celia’s excitement and happiness.

Employee: “Princess Celia… a guest requests your presence in a private room.” She informed with a bow, scared, as she hadn’t interacted with such a powerful noble before in her life.

Ria: “Who is it? Ordering around a princess so casually…” She asked, protecting Celia behind her body, even though she was now actually a far, far lower Level than her charge was.

Employee: “I…I-I haven’t heard of them before. But it was a woman who said that her name was Sehr.” She stuttered out, unsure if she was going to get her head cut off if she didn’t give a good enough answer.

  Celia And Ria: “…”

Sehr: “Hello. I have to say… Cynthia getting a princess to search for me is… well, I guess that I now further understand just how much that woman cares for me.” She said with a hearty laugh, after the two sat down in front of her.

It wasn’t a tiger before them, but a woman with stark orange hair, dressed in elegant attire. Sehr had actually borrowed quite a few Coins from Cynthia, with the woman not noticing the thievery just yet.

Celia: “So… when Vermila Tigers reach Level 250, they transform into Humans?” She said with an unsure tone, doing a thinking pose.

Sehr: “Yes, that is correct. I look, and, according to my Status, I am completely Human. There isn’t even a single bit of Beast-Kin in me, either…” She nodded, still in high spirits.

Ria: “Will you… return to Cynthia’s side?” She asked with her arms crossed, confused by this revelation.

For one, Ria and Celia could easily guess that Sehr likely wouldn’t go back to her owner. After all, Sehr was now a Human woman, a person with rights, no longer a pet.

Sehr: “I cannot, no.” She denied after thinking it over.

Celia: “…Why?” She replied with a sad expression.

Sehr: “Cynthia and I aren’t equals. Until I make a name for myself, gain a noble title befitting her, then I can never ask for her hand in marriage.” She seriously explained, being completely honest.

Celia: “M-marriage!?” She repeated in surprise.

Sehr: “I love her. Is that truly so wrong? Regardless, it is best that the Vermila Tiger Sehr stays missing forever, and for the Human Sehr to eventually appear in Cynthia’s life. I’ve been with her for so long… I can surely seduce her into marriage.” She added with a wistful, happy smile.

  Celia: “…”

Ria: “…” “The secret of the vanishing Vermila Tigers… sure is interesting.” She secretly thought with a deadpan tone, getting used to Celia doing, and having crazy things happen or occur to her.
