  Chapter 51: Grand Intervention!

Sehr: “Princess Celia, I thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to search for me. But… please tell Cynthia that I couldn’t be found, and leave it at that. I’ll even pay you.” She requested with a serious expression.

Celia: “I…” The rest of her words, which were going to be a denial, got cut off.

  Slam!

Cynthia: “Pay her off, buy her silence? Sehr, would those Coins you’d use to do so… not be ones you’ve stolen from me?” She exclaimed, bursting into the private room.

  Celia, Ria, And Sehr: “(O.o)”

Rather than be angry, Cynthia had a smile on her face. Frankly, Celia might be tempted to fall for such a wonderful woman… if she didn’t just witness Cynthia literally make a human-sized hole in the doorframe. Plus, Sehr already mentioned wanting to marry Cynthia, and Celia hated drama.

As for the destroyed door… A noble, like Cynthia, couldn’t just kneel down in public, so, in the noble’s view, this destruction was actually the most appropriate action on Cynthia’s part. Besides, the woman had more than enough Coins to pay for the damages.

Ria: “Lady Cynthia… were you watching and listening in on us this entire time?” She assumed with an unsure expression.

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

Cynthia: “I was, yep.” She admitted without remorse.

Sehr: “Cynthia… you used Spying Magic on a Princess?… That’s a crime which will have your entire family executed for!” She yelled, angry that her beloved would act so recklessly.

Cynthia: “I put it on Ria, not Princess Celia. As such, my crime is far lesser, and can be solved via a bribe.” She replied with a shrug, not seeing herself in the wrong at all.

Sehr: “You… you…” She stuttered, finding no words to refute Cynthia’s actions.

  Celia And Ria: “( ’-’ ~)”

While restricted to her room, Celia read quite a few books. Among them were fictional novels, and, seeing this scene play out… Celia felt as if she had been transported to a weird, childish romance drama. Being only 14, she actually found this entertaining, while Ria was teetering on taking her own life out of secondhand embarrassment.

Cynthia: “Sehr, you turned into a fine woman. Now, you will take my hand in marriage, yes?” She asked with a smile, unironically pulling out a wedding ring.

Sehr: “Eh?!” She shouted, her brain practically shutting down.

It should be noted; I made no error in my narration. Cynthia took out a wedding ring from her storage, not an engagement ring. The box had a pair, meaning that… Cynthia truly expected, and seemingly planned, on Sehr marrying her.

Celia: “Why do you have rings ready, Cynthia?” She asked, voicing words that no one else in the room was willing to speak.

Cynthia: “Hm? Vermila turned Humans… some know about them, me being one such person. I’ve known since I was 6, and vowed to marry Sehr.” She answered with a proud expression.

Ria: “You… then why post a quest? Lady Cynthia, you were already aware of what truly happened to Sehr…” She angrily asked, upset that Celia truly did have her time wasted.

Cynthia: “Isn’t that simple as well?” She replied with a head tilt.

  Celia, Sehr, And Ria: “( ? _ ? )”
