Chapter 52: Cat Rescue Quest's Ending.
Cynthia: “Sehr has always been prideful. Even while now Human, she can still go invisible. Perhaps it might seem like I wasted your time… but… if I didn’t go about it this way, Sehr would slip through my fingers, and I couldn’t see her for years.” She explained, seeing the actually confused expression of those in the room.
Everyone: “…”
Cynthia: “Her actions of only revealing herself once Sehr thought that she could get away from me… is evidence of me being correct on this matter.” She added, now returning to beaming a pride-filled expression.
Sehr was choked, as she actually was planning on running away from Cynthia. But her beloved had blocked the door, and there weren’t any windows in this private room.
Sehr: “Cynthia… your family won’t agree.” She weakly voiced, already given in, but knowing that their love couldn’t bloom just yet.
Cynthia: “I already got their permission. Why else do you think that I’ve spent so much time working? I’ve made millions upon millions of Coins for them, so how could they ever deny me my sole wish?” She coaxed in reply.
Sehr: “But… I have no title or wealth.” She replied, feeling her reluctance fading at a rapid pace.
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
Cynthia: “Sehr, as for wealth… once you marry me, then you’ll be rich! Princess Celia, could you procure a noble title for Sehr? Countess, Duchess, whatever you can spare, please.” She earnestly pleaded.
Celia: “…”
Ria: “Not for free, Lady Cynthia.” She answered in her charge’s stead.
Being a teenager, Ria understood that Celia could easily be scammed into getting nothing out of this exchange. Cynthia knew this as well, which is why, the ever brilliant business woman took to convincing the gullible Celia first, bypassing her guardian.
Cynthia: “I can get my family to be forever loyal to this kingdom.” She offered, her plan not working out, but not caring much about the failure.
Ria: “Are you willing to sign a Soul Contract, stating as such, with Princess Carma?” She replied with a raised eyebrow.
Cynthia: “For my dearest, I’d do anything!” She sternly answered.
Later.
Carma: “…”
Mein: “…”
Woosh!
The SC was signed by Cynthia and Carma, and seconds later, King Mein granted Sehr the title of Duchess. In a flash, Cynthia darted away with Sehr, saying that they’d be holding a private wedding.
Mein: “Carma…” His voice was shaky.
Carma: “I understand. Yes, this isn’t a dream.” She replied with a sigh, experiencing the same emotions as her father.
Celia: “( ? _ ? )”
Prior to this, the Rever family had loyalty to no one, not even the Felta Empire or other empires. After taking on a simple quest, all to find a supposed lost pet, Celia had brokered one of the best business deals, and alliances, in Reri’s history.
Ria: “Princess Carma, should we lock Celia up in her room?” She secretly asked, her desireful tone hidden masterfully, speaking via telepathy.
Carma: “…I was considering it. But, no. Is there anyone besides Lem and I, who could actually keep her locked up?” She denied with a deadpan expression and tone.
Ria: “…”
