Chapter 69: Kidnapped... Peacefully.
As Flan ran… slithered at a quick pace, Celia had an oddly leisurely escort. The Royal Slime’s body shook rapidly and randomly, but Celia didn’t feel these fluctuations in the least. A smooth ride…
Celia: “Flan, where are you taking me?” She asked in a calm, curious tone.
Flan: “To my Mistress.” She answered in a feminine voice, as that was her mood currently.
Flan’s destination wasn’t even slightly close to Reri’s capital city. It took Celia in the opposite direction, hundreds of miles away.
Celia: “Why bother? Midas and Maralia will eventually find me. Besides… what if your mistress scolds you for doing this?” She said, hoping to convince Flan to let her go.
Flan: “You’ve misunderstood, little girl.” She replied with a giggle.
Celia: “Eh?” She expressed, tilting her head.
Currently, Celia wasn’t inside Flan anymore. Instead, she was on top of her. This didn’t mean that Celia could escape, though. She was still restrained by Flan, who used slimy tentacles to imprison her.
Flan: “The quest you took on… was one of the many that my Mistress put up. No matter which you went with, I’d have captured you, as per her orders.” She admitted, already looking forward to how much Flan’s Mistress would praise her.

Celia: “(- _ -)”
Since starting her third life, Celia hasn’t celebrated a single birthday. Carma promised Celia that her 15 birthday would be special, and make up for all the ones she missed. Saying that there’d be so many presents…
Though, Celia, at this moment, would prefer that, instead of getting a hoard of gifts, absurd things stopped happening to her. At the very least… until she makes it to age 15.
Seven Hours Later.
Celia: “Flan, how far away is your Mistress?” She asked with a yawn.
Flan: “Still quite a distance, Celia. If you’d like, you can just rest until we get there.” He kindly suggested choosing a masculine voice.
Celia: “I might have yawned… but I can’t fall asleep with all this wind blasting my face.” She replied with a groan.
The Royal Slime’s speed was, as previously mentioned, extreme. Celia honestly couldn’t believe how, despite this pace, the wind somehow didn’t injure her.
Flan: “Hm? Sorry, I’ll put up a shield for you.” He replied, quickly doing as he said.
Celia: “…Inspect.” She deadpanly said out loud.
Flan: “( ? _ ? )”
Celia: “Flan… I think that you’re weak enough for me to kill.” She informed with an evil tone.
At first, Flan thought that the young Human girl was joking, even laughing a bit. But then Flan thought about how, regardless of his high Level, Flan’s DEX Stat was actually lower than Celia’s.
Flan: “Don’t scare me like that… I am still restraining you, silly.” He said calmly.
Celia: “Damn, I was hoping you’d forget that, release me in terror, and then flee.” She replied with a click of her tongue, annoyed that her impromptu plan had failed.
Flan: “When I have the upper hand, I never run away like a coward! Hehe…” He gloated while wholeheartedly laughing.
