Chapter 98: Ria's Day.
After leaving her charge’s room, Ria sprinted to the castle’s library. Since becoming a maid, she didn’t have much time to read.
The library always silently beckoned to Ria, but she was just too busy. Now, given the ability to read within seconds, the woman couldn’t help but get her fill. Achieving a desire which she has harbored for years.
Ria: “What should I start with first? History, fantasy, or…” She asked with an unsure, excited tone.
Zia: “History would be the most boring. As we had to research so much recent history to become a maid… So do that first.” She proposed.
With her other self suggesting what Ria was already going to do, the maid went straight to the history section. It wasn’t like the books in castle Reri were limited.
Mein was always a scholar, and this grand library, which takes up a decent chunk of the castle, was filled to the brim. Some nobles have tried the highest kinds of bribery to get access to it, as well.
In the end, besides being Reri royalty, the best way to get access to the library… was to work directly in the castle.

Carma: “Ria?” She spoke with surprise, seeing the maid enter the same row as her.
Ria: “Princess Carma, are you here to read, too?” She asked in reply, bowing before doing so.
Carma: “Yes. Preparations for Celia’s birthday are complete, so I wanted to finally read all that our library has to offer.” She answered in a relieved tone.
Ria specifically only trained the maids, getting them all over Level 700. From this, Carma had to expertly utilize them as staff members and guards during the party.
Considering that Celia randomly brought home a High Goddess, an Evolution that none knew about, Carma wasn’t willing to ever take anything lightly again.
Ria: “Does Princess Carma like history?” She asked with a curious gaze, staring at the history book in her hands.
Carma: “Not really… It’s just… getting the boring sections out of the way first… I find that better.” She admitted with some embarrassment.
Ria: “I think the same, Princess Carma.” She nodded, finding a kindred soul in her princess.
Four Hours Later.
Carma: “Are we… really finished?” She spoke in a kinda broken manner, tone full of disbelief.
Ria: “…It would seem so, Princess Carma.” She replied, deadpan.
Four hours was all it took to fully go over the entire library’s collection. It wouldn’t have taken this long… if turning the pages accounted for a majority of their reading time.
Carma: “In the pursuit of knowledge… I am beginning to wish that we could make amends with Felta.” She expressed with a groan, rubbing her head, despite it not being in pain at all.
Ria: “…True. Their collection of books is supposedly a hundred times the size of ours.” She added with her own wistfulness.
Staring at each other, the two then made secret plans to convince Celia to forgive Felta’s Empress. All for the sake of their desires for more reading material…
