Chapter 100: Royal Frustrations Two.
Midas and Cynthia got addicted to giving Celia Orichalcum items. The girl almost always brightly smiled when receiving them, regardless of if Celia would use them or not.
In this world, metals were commonly used in luxuries, but gems weren’t. Only the richest of the rich could purchase gems, jewels, etc. In fact, if you went to jewelry stores, they’d be metal gems, made to mimic the real gems that 99% of the population could never hope to see, let alone own.
Maid: “Madam… the rumors from Princess Celia’s birthday. I’ve confirmed that they were all the truth, with some watered down, as to not hurt the pride of those who attended.” She explained with a bow.
Rien: “I know. My daughter was correct in my decision to be too impulsive and supremely foolish.” She replied with a deep sigh.
Having sent spies to the party, the Empress merely wanted to confirm Celia’s Level. Unfortunately, despite spending thousands of Orichalcum Coins, the Level 474 she sent… couldn’t even inspect the maids. Celia, and the other Princess… were now untouchable.
Rien: “Status.” She said without emotion.

The Empress’s Level was a closely guarded secret. In her mind, only Midas was stronger than herself. But now… Rien was unsure if Princess Celia, a young girl she tried to have killed, with her obviously superior Status, would spare her royal self.
Thud!
Maid: “Madam!” She exclaimed in a hurry.
Rien: “Yes? Can’t you see that I am wallowing in despair?” She replied in a lazy tone, not bothering to lift her head from the desk.
Maid: “But…” She couldn’t say more than that.
Looking up, Rien saw a young woman appear in her office. Nonchalantly, and with no emotion, cold as ice, she walked over to the Empress. Then, she spoke the words, “Status,” forcing Rien to wish that she could turn back time.

Rien: “Dearest daughter…I… Would an Earth Blossom truly be enough? Surely… more is required to win Princess Celia’s forgiveness, right?” She spoke with an absolutely shaken tone and expression.
Alisa: “My relationship with Princess Celia is perfect. But rest assured, I shall repair you and hers in time.” She answered with her arms cross, still not showing emotion.
Rien: “Great, just great! Then, you must be tired, Alisa. Training so hard… Why don’t y-you…” She got cut off here.
Alisa: “Your punishment will not be light. I warned you to ignore Herm’s death, as well as to leave Celia alone. Rather than do that one simple thing… you act like a child, and ruin Felta’s relation with Princess Celia, a rising star, weeks off from becoming a Goddess.” She spoke with fury, tapping her mother’s desk.
Rien: “…”
Alisa: “In fact… it is solely because of her that I’ve Evolved into a Goddess. And she is now my dearest friend, family, even.” She added, before then walking away, beckoning with her finger for Rien to follow her.
Head down, the Empress weakly followed along with her daughter. Such a mistake mustn’t go unpunished, and Rien was just hoping that Alisa would forgive her after the punishment…
