Chapter 44: Shipping Themselves Out.
Celia: “I honestly forgot to ask… but why did we take a ship, rather than just fly to our destination?” She asked with an awkward tone.
Currently, Celia and her group were on a luxurious, large ship. Their destination was as previously mentioned, and Celia found it odd that… they were apparently going the official route.
Carma: “Hm? Ah, I guess that, since you haven’t traveled the sea yet… you aren’t aware of the monsters lurking within its depths.” She answered with an awkward tone, feeling silly that she didn’t mention this prior to leaving.
Celia: “Monsters? Why don’t we just kill them?” She replied with a cute head tilt.
Carma: “That’s…” She said with a pause.
Ria: “Celia, did you see how the boat was specifically marked on the bottom?” She said, entering into the conversation.
Before getting on the boat, Celia did see that all of the vessels at the docks had one thing in common. Each had the bottom of the ship painted where half pained in yellow and red.
Even this luxury ship was the same, with the garish paint ruining the ship’s design a decent bit. Or rather, Celia sure thought so.

Tin: “Princess… Goddess… what is your title these days?… Anyway, Celia, there is a good reason for the ugly painting.” He said with a hearty laugh.
Celia: “Tin?!” She exclaimed in shock.
Tin: “Yes, yes. It’s me! Surprised? Well… I never got to thank you for saving my life… so allow me to do so just a tiny bit, and explain the reason behind the red and yellow paint.” He added with some remorse.
After fleeing that fight, Tin did try to go back to Reri. Unfortunately for him, Celia became a Princess, and he also abandoned another Princess, that being Carma. From this, Tin assumed that there was a decent chance that he’d be executed.
So, rather than face uncertain death, the old man chose to become a sailor, even immigrating to Empire of Perl, with no intentions to ever return.
Celia: “You all keep leaving me with an unanswered question… Just please tell me already.” She pleaded with a sigh, looking slightly pale.
Maralia: “…” “She gets seasick in this life, huh? Interesting…” She secretly thought, seeming to have ill future intentions.
Tin: “There is an underwater Empire, one which we have no idea the name of… But, long ago, a long-dead society had made a deal with them. Just as long as we paint red and yellow on ships, no sea monsters will ever attack them.” He finally explained.
Celia: “I see… The fact that they, whoever they are, still keep up this deal is… interesting. Though, I still don’t understand why we can’t just fly…” She mused in reply, now doing a thinking pose.
Alisa: “Celia, Midas once saw a sea monster jump out of the water, attempting to eat her whole… It was as large, if not larger, than an entire city.” She interjected with a shiver.
Midas: “Worse… was that it had a Level of over 597,832. And that was hundreds of years ago… Damn thing is likely an even higher Level these days…” She grimaced, adding more detail.
Celia: “(~OAO)”
