Volume 9. Chapter 45: The Waters Got Rough... (Chapter 846.)

Chapter 45: The Waters Got Rough...

Like trees producing oxygen in modern, non-fantasy Dimensions, sea monsters had a similar function. Even the weakest ones emitted more Mana than every surface being combined.

With this method, Xena didn’t have to constantly supply Mana to any world. In fact, in Xena’s controlled Universes, such monsters were in every Dimension, even the non-fantasy ones.

Celia: “Learning how existence functions is… kinda mind shattering.” She said with a deadpan expression.

Midas: “Truly? It isn’t that complicated. Also… Xena simplified it further, so you got the easier explanation, Celia.” She replied with a giggle.

  Celia: “(- _ -)”

At first, Celia could only assume that she had insane levels of Luck, despite there (no longer) not being a Stat in her System. But now… Celia was certain that her amazing life was just helped along with her family and her wives.

She didn’t really mind their help, as the woman was still in the process of untangling her net of relationships. It didn’t help that Celia somehow managed to make even more family in this life…

  Crash!

Tin: “A-a… sea monster!” He exclaimed in horror.

Instantly halting the boat with its size, a sea monster swam up from the water’s immense depths. The monster wasn’t one that any person here had seen before… except the reincarnaters.

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

Maralia: “A large whale?… Inspect!” She said in a hurry.

EXP From Killing: None, Soul Staining If You Manage To Do So.

  Everyone: “…”

Maralia made the inspected Status screen huge, so that all on the boat could see. Rather than quiet down their worries, this only further increased their already extreme fear.

Even if they could kill this monster… it’d just be a death sentence. After all, Celia’s family is very much aware of how… unsolvable Soul Staining is.

Celia: “What do we do, Midas, Maralia?” She asked, actually scared.

Midas: “Run!… or not. Flying is… foolish, as we’d just be eaten by other strong sea monsters. Although… at least it isn’t attacking us… yet.” She shakily replied.

Maralia: “Yet? For what reason did this… Deyl, even emerge from its domain? Our ship is properly marked!” She exclaimed in grand confusion.

Ria: “Perhaps… the deal is due to be renegotiated? Deyl, like you said, Midas, isn’t attacking us right now. Maybe we can…” Before she could finish this line of conversation, the situation shifted.

  Roar!

Deyl roared so loud… that the Humans aboard the ship had their eardrums pierced, now bleeding. For the Higher Beings here… they were forced to the ground, unable to move at all.

Though… Deyl still didn’t do anything more. Soon, she had gently lowered back into the sea, leaving all onboard to be confused. If only they witness a regal woman leaping down from Deyl, before then grabbing Celia, and fleeing with her in tow…
