Volume 9. Chapter 62: Pointless Grinding. (Chapter 863.)

  Chapter 62: Pointless Grinding.

Celia had a decent hope that the problem with Runey would be solved quickly, so she didn’t dwell on it. Either way, there was no use keeping the Shadow Remnants alive, since they each merely needed 1 Exp to Evolve.

Celia: “Damn… these doors just won’t get filled.” She said with a deep sigh.

June: “I think that… not even counting your previous kill count, we’ve killed millions of Shadow Remnants by now.” She added with a deadpan expression.

Though, the silver lining was near, as they could see the orbs both tittering on the verge of being filled completely. At most, they needed to kill a few hundred thousand more… and the secret of this Dungeon will be revealed. Although, Celia still felt bad about how much Exp was going to waste, as they slew Shadow Remnant after Shadow Remnant.

Nia: “But first, let us take a break. If it wasn’t for our Evolutions being stopped… we’d have been celebrating Nina and June’s ascension to Higher Beings by now.” She suggested.

June: “I don’t think that it is something that big to celebrate…” She added, taking a seat.

Nina: “Eh, why not go along with it? Celia loves celebrating things, remember?” She said, nudging her sister, before then taking the seat next to hers.

After suggesting that, Ria had set up the makeshift dining room once more, all taken out of her storage. Ah, I forgot to mention… but Storage Magic was still too complicated to do right now.

Xena overcomplicated it, so that less Mana would be spent on beings like Celia using such Magic wantonly. As such, Celia and her group still had to use storage rings, which they had an abundance of.

Alisa: “Do you think that Xena will also let us use Storage Magic? I am getting tired of using rings…” She asked with a sigh.

Ria: “She caused us a halt in our progress, so doing that would be the least Xena could do in repentance.” She replied with an evil grin.

Lia: “Maybe we can also gaslight her into giving us more than rewards?” She added, also sounding evil.

Celia: “…” “Why did I marry so many evil women? And what does gaslight even me??? Ah, my head hurts…” She confusedly thought in her mind, now feeling something that her family always felt whenever Celia does crazy things.

Either way, Celia had no intentions of ever divorcing her wives. Even now, she loved them dearly, and was already making up excuses in her mind as to why they were right to squeeze Xena for more boons.

  Many Hours Later.

Celia: “And… done! Now these doors should open.” She said with a relieved tone, wiping the non-existent sweat from her brow.

Tia: “Yes, I am curious about what is behind them. A random boss… or another family member? The mind boggles at the possibilities…” She mused, more curious than anything else.

June: “…” “Celia’s wives set up flags… on purpose! My mothers are so quirky.” She happily thought, already fully broken by Celia’s antics, numbed to most absurd things.
