Volume 9. Chapter 30: Leaving Veil. (Chapter 831.)

  30: Leaving Veil.

Midas was last on Veil over a thousand years ago, and the Cultivators there specifically waited for the Goddess to part. As such, she didn’t have any up-to-date information on it.

If Midas did… she wouldn’t have bothered to let Celia go attend the Academy. Either way, after Guanyu and Celia were lovey dovey enough, it was time to leave.

Zexian: “Celia, you two could stay for longer.” She said with a smile.

Celia: “I know, but Guanyu doesn’t care to Cultivate any longer, and I don’t want to hunt without my family.” She replied with a sigh.

In truth, they could ask Zexian to remove the barrier, but the monsters here weren’t a sustainable source of Exp.

This floating island was quite large, but it was mostly large mountains, with very few areas where monsters spawned and lived. Or rather, to be more specific… it wasn’t a dungeon. To replenish the number of monsters… would require waiting for them to breed and produce offspring.

Guanyu: “I pray that you’ll reach Heaven, Zexian.” She said, a fake smile on her beautiful face, her tone holding no sincerity at all.

  Zexian: “…”

Celia now planned on traveling to a different continent, and finding a dangerous dungeon/dungeons to use as a place/places to grind Levels. Thus, since Veil wasn’t useful for this, as there weren’t any dungeons on it, they left.

  A Flight Home Later.

Celia: “Mena, I see that you’ve Evolved without issue.” She said with a happy tone, rubbing her daughter’s head.

Mena: “Y…y-yeah, I did. Thank you for helping me gain Levels, Mom!” She replied with glee, completely forgetting that she wanted to scold Celia for being absurd.

Midas: “What is even the point of not letting Celia regain her memories? She is the same person…” She asked with a groan.

While Celia had fun meeting her daughters after a short separation, the others were talking on the side. Midas was conflicted, unsure of why keeping the past as a secret from Celia… was even needed.

Maralia: “Apart from her direct family, has Celia go out of her way to save a female?” She asked in reply with a knowing tone.

  Midas: “…”

Maralia: “In this life, Celia is free. Regaining her memories… might just make Celia regress into trying to save every female in the world.” She continued with a lecturing tone and expression.

Celia, this time around, truly was free. Other than crazy things happening to her, Celia wasn’t compelled to be the savior of females. Even then, Maralia felt that Celia wasn’t selfish enough, but she wasn’t willing to convince her to be more self-centered.

Celia: “I want to travel around, and find a better place to gain Levels. Carma, are you able to go with us? Mena just told me that you became the Empress…” She asked with worried tone.

Carma: “Oh, Alisa and I have a plan, don’t worry.” She replied with a coaxing tone.

Celia: “Huh? What kind of plan?” She said with a confused head tilt.

  Alisa: “Marriage!” She exclaimed loudly.

  Celia: “???”
