Volume 9. Chapter 95: The Finishing Touches Are... Missing. (Chapter 896)

Chapter 95: The Finishing Touches Are... Missing.

Perhaps it goes without saying, but I am actually avoiding mentioning a LOT of things that happen. Not just the thoughts, I mean.

The ongoings of this family, not even including Celia’s antics… could very easily take up thousands of chapters, all JUST to depict the side content.

For an example of stuff I skip; I let slip that I was absolutely going to let Runey and Ruina make that foolish mistake. And due to that, Ruina spent a long time, hours, scolding me for this. Despite agreeing to the merge…

Xena: “Dammit… Narrator Vulely, why isn’t this working? None of our ideas aren’t… even close to solutions.” She asked with an anxious tone, biting her nails a little.

Narrator Vulely: “What isn’t working? Sorry, I was thinking about something else, and wasn’t aware that you were including me in this conversation…” I remorsefully reply, real remorse, in fact. “Xena is using my proper name! She must be learning to respect me and my current position!!!” I secretly thought, happy to be respected by someone like this woman.

Xena: “…These Universes, the countless Dimensions… the balance of Mana is impossible to figure out. Let alone the production… Mana is a type of energy, and it needs to come from somewhere…” She explained with a sigh. “I tried buttering up Future Vulely up with that stupid name, and the damn woman wasn’t even listening…” She said in her mind, inwardly clicking her thought tongue.

Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

I was almost tricked into giving out free help!!! That’s the last time I even attempt to think highly of Xena! Truly, I must come up with a means to screw her over… Nothing lethal or serious, mind you.

Runey: “Moms, we patched up the leaks, and dealt with so many Mana Suckers… So isn’t this enough for now? The Mana, even in the lowest supplied Dimension, is seemingly endless!” She asked with a thinking pose.

Xena: “The current Mana supply… will last millions of years, yes.” She replied with a nod.

Runey: “Right! As such, we can just put this off until the last minute.” She added with a haughty laugh.

Xena: “Normally, Runey. Normally…” She said with a disappointed tone, sighing all the way.

Runey: “Normally?” She repeated with a head tilt.

If things proceed as normal, everything will work out. The Mana supply right now is more than enough, and this isn’t accounting for the Mana that will be naturally created year by year.

The issue… is that Evolving into a Highest Goddess takes up a LOT of Mana. In my timeline, Celia and the rest all Evolved into this Evolution at the same time.

Back then, it worked, as all the leaks were still around, allowing the needed vast amounts of Mana to flow to them. Of course, this carried many negative effects for the future…

Xena: “Understand it now, Runey? With the caps I put in place earlier, and the leaks gone… even if I allow it, you, Celia and the others cannot Evolve.” She said with a sigh, ending the explanation that I had just briefly gone over.

Runey: “What if… we try to Evolve, regardless of the lack of Mana?” She asked in a scared tone, unable to contain her curiosity.

Xena: “You’d all explode.” She confidently answered, her tone grim as can be.
