Chapter 96: An Explosion That Would End It All!
Xena’s answer was deeply simplified, as Runey is the type to act childish around those she cares about. We, her mothers… just end up treating her like that, as well.
However, Xena’s words were the truth. If anyone tried to Evolve into a Highest Goddess, the backlash would kill them, immortality or no. Now… the entire family doing a failed Evolution? The resulting explosions would very likely just delete all of existence, every Universe and Dimension.
Xena: “That restriction… was mainly put in place to prevent Celia from acting recklessly. As she tends to do.” She further added.
Runey: “The image I’m envisioning is… pretty bad, so I guess that restriction was a smart thing to implement.” She replied with a shudder.
Celia… would absolutely try to pull some kind of stunt like that, and maybe make it work out, as well.
Xena: “Back on topic… Future Vulely, what should we do? Sure, I can steal Mana from other Universes, but that would only make those who live in them… our enemies.” She asked with a serious thinking pose.
Narrator Vulely: “I truly don’t have any solution.” I reply with a shrug.
In the first place, Xena was given control over the Mana flow for every place… purely to fix the leaks. It is, in fact, a temporary right. Even as the True Will, or whatever Xena’s new title is… it isn’t something that she will keep a hold on forever.

Xena: “You really have no solution? How did Celia solve this problem in the future?” She replied with a tone and expression of disbelief.
Narrator Vulely: “Hm? In the original timeline, by the time that we found out about the System’s flaw… it was already far too late to ever fix. The Mana leaks were the same…” I grimly clarify.
Xena: “…”
Runey: “…”
During the war, it was Home against the Mana Suckers, and whomever other Universe inhabitants that they could convince to join the battle.
After all, the cause of the Mana leaks, as well as the drought… was Runey and Xena. They resided within Home during that time, so a battle was unavoidable, unfortunately.
Xena: “That being the case… how are we supposed to move on from this? Until the Mana is in oversupply by billions… no one can Evolve.” She expressed with a tone of defeat.
Runey: “Without Evolving… then we’ll never be able to waste years in modern Dimensions. Please, Moms, your precious daughters, the one before you in particular… need access to anime and… Oh, wait! I forgot that I can go to whatever Dimension or Universe I please. Never mind!” She exclaimed in pure horror, before switching to complete happiness, recalling that she, unlike the others, wasn’t restricted at all.
Narrator Vulely: “(- _ -)”
Xena: “(- _ -)”
Before either of us could scold her, Runey teleported away. It should be noted that this girl has refused to smuggle anime and manga for her sisters, solely because they have yet to beg her to a satisfactory level.
Okay, okay… Let us put my cheeky daughter aside. How are we going to solve this? Maybe… I should return to the present, and then ask the Celia there for help?…
Runey: “Did you two recently turn silly, like me? Look, I do that for fun, but neither of you has a good excuse for this.” She asked with a raised eyebrow, popping back up, tone oddly serious.
Xena: “Runey… have you returned just to be rude?” She replied with a calm anger that only a mother could output.
Runey: “Partly… Moms, stop being foolish, and just ask Celia for a solution. Knowing her, that mom of mine will have an absurd answer.” She suggested with a yawn, teleporting away once more.
Xena and I at the same time: “( ’-’ ~)”
