Chapter 75: Runey's Sadness.

  Runey: “And because of that… I have to do all this silly work, when I just wish to be with my dearest wives…” She expressed with a deep sadness, tears flowing down her face, her long, wholly unasked for, explanation coming to an end.

  Albertou: “…” “Is… is this some new kind of torture?” He thought with a completely broken tone.

  Due to the heavy Mana usage of the new System, there were holes everywhere, and in every Universe. Though, since it was still far away from the Mana running out, and this being a dire problem… most wouldn’t notice at all.

  In total, only the highest living beings had done so, and they left Runey to fix it. Xena was fixing the Mana leaks first, capping each Dimension and Universe to prevent any single one from collapsing in on itself. As for Runey…

  Albertou: “Child, I care NOT for your sadness. I beg of you… just kill me now, so that I can be freed of…you.” He pleaded, and, if he could, he would have added actual tears into the request.

  Runey: “Huh? Come on… This always happens!” She angrily replied, stomping her foot on the ground (it was actually Albertou’s body that she was stomping on,) like a pouty child.

  Albertou: “…”

  Runey: “Ancient Beings, which have somehow survived through every cleansing… Yet, they end up dead by my hand. Hell, they all requested death, like I was doing them a favor. So strange…” She said with a sigh, not really directing these words to anyone.

  Albertou: “…” “I am older than time itself… Yes, in this case, defeated so easily by an infant, those of my kind and age would ask for death. This girl’s wanton ranting… is only adding to my desire for release!” He exclaimed loudly in his mind, hoping too soon be done with this farce.

  All in all, Xena could handle the Mana leak problems for now on her own. As previously mentioned, this wouldn’t be a true disaster that quickly.

  Even then, that timeframe was only if no one bothered to fix things. With what Xena is doing, this will easily push the all Universe Mana Starvation back thousands of years.

  Cut!

  Runey: “If you didn’t wish to be treated like this… then your ilk should not have appeared before me!” She gloated wholeheartedly, finally letting Albertou get his rest.

  Silence.

  Runey: “…Damn, I want to be treated like a hero. Alas, there is not a single soul here; that is, apart from me, who can praise my heroic acts.” She sadly continued, lying down on the still warm kill, deciding to close her eyes for a bit.

  Either way, Xena just needed to borrow some of Runey’s power, which is what they did a while back. With that, the True Will (Xena’s self-bestowed new title,) was patching up Universes and Dimensions like they were leaky ships.

  However… those unknown beings, such as Albertou, which were drawn out of hiding, were eagerly eating up the leaking Mana. Runey’s job was simply to hunt those beings down, solving potential future issues.

  Runey: “Ah, I miss my wives.” She deadpanly expressed.
