Chapter 29: Getting Even Further Information.
Celia: “Everything is calm now… so let us talk some more.” She said with a serious tone, staring down the person in front of her.
Nemu: “…” “Shit… I’d hoped that Celia would focus on her family, and forget to ask me more about our race…” She loudly exclaimed in her thoughts, feeling remorse over being so cheeky earlier.
If Celia is to accept her identity, then she should learn everything about it. Of course, since Nemu revealed her hand… she couldn’t exactly deny Celia’s request for knowledge.
Nemu: “Listen, besides us being born from Mana, there isn’t much else to be explained.” She spoke with an awkward tone.
Celia: “Really? I find that hard to believe, as you and Amelie have very similar personalities. People… who honestly get pleasure from research and experiments.” She replied with a raised eyebrow.
Nemu: “( ’-’ ~)”
Biting her lip, Nemu felt like she was pushed into an inescapable corner. Unfortunately, Nemu willfully forgot how deep Celia’s love was, and how she… typically knew her family and friends better than they themselves did.
Nemu: “I would need to write a novel to fully cover what we are, Celia. But instead of me explaining all those miniscule details… why don’t you ask me what you truly wish to know?” She suggested with a knowing tone.
If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
Celia: “…And what would that be?” She replied with a raised eyebrow, arms now crossed.
Nemu: “Can you or can you not… affect reality? Your desires, hidden thoughts, forcing interesting events to happen to you and your family.” She clarified with a serious expression.
Celia: “…”
Closing her eyes, Celia’s heart was beating like crazy, not sure which answer that she wanted to hear the most. Depending on what the truth is… will determine how Celia continues her life.
Celia: “Are you going to… leave me waiting for an answer? Is… the truth… horrible? Something that will make me desire death…” She asked with an annoyed tone, seeing her talking partner just… sit there and smile, not speaking more.
Nemu: “If the truth were bad, would I be leading you on this much? Celia, I am not heartless. I’m merely a cheeky bitch.” She replied with a scoff, not liking how much Celia was slandering her.
Celia: “…”
Deciding that her mood was very off, Celia took many deep breaths. With Nemu setting the pace, indirectly letting Celia know what the truth is.
Nemu: “Calmed down enough? Well, then let’s rip the bandaid off…” She softly proposed with a caring tone.
Celia: “I am ready for it, Nemu.” She replied with a resolute expression.
Nemu: “We can’t affect reality, like some Higher Beings, with the ability to play with people’s lives. Rather, we can, if channeling Mana mixed with Divinity, shift reality to what we want by let’s say… 15-30%.” She explained with a grim tone.
Celia: “…”
Nemu: “But neither you nor I have done this. Indirectly, you have, ever so slightly, affected reality. But it is only by an extremely small amount, barely worth mentioning. If you did, then we wouldn’t have had to go through so many different timelines, finally reaching this supposed perfect one.” She continued with a smile.
Celia: “…I see.” She replied happily, tears rolling down her face, unable to hide her emotions any longer.
