Chapter 30: With That Out Of The Way, The Fun Times Return!
Celia: “As such, do I have permission to make your daughter immortal?” She nonchalantly asked, an honest smile visible on her overly beautiful face.
Bao: “…” “My daughter is an utterly reclusive shut-in, so how did she get involved in a crazy cult? And get a wife, a younger one at that?!” She yelled in her thoughts, shocked, baffled, and confused more than ever before in her life.
Shuren: “( ’-’ ~)”
This was a hard sell, as Shuren and her mother, Bao, live in a modern Dimension. One that didn’t have any fantasy elements outside of fiction.
Luckily, Celia teleported herself, Fore, and Shuren right in front of Bao, who was sitting on her couch. This added some truth to Celia’s words, but Bao needed more information first.
Bao: “And… what does she need to do for you… to gain immortality?” She asked with a serious tone, but only after she cleared her throat.
Celia: “Apologies, but I have accepted Shuren as my own daughter. Because of that, she doesn’t need to give me anything in return.” She answered in reply, giving no hint of her words being untruthful in the slightest.
Bao: “That… is absurd! Surely, such a gift… isn’t free, or easy to obtain.” She yelled back, wanting to put her foot down, and see what Celia actually wanted.

Seeing the tension start to boil over (not really, Shuren was just being overdramatic), the daughter of this conflict… knew that she couldn’t keep quiet for much longer. After all, Celia was merely speaking the truth of the matter.
Shuren: “Mom… Celia is thousands of years old, and is immortal. Higher Beings… are odd, and a bit crazy.” She explained with a coaxing, daughter-like tone.
Bao: “…” “Since… when could my daughter speak? Shuren hasn’t spoken in years!!!” She inwardly expressed, further confusion added to her mental plate.
Fore: “Higher Beings also tend to do things merely on their whims. Celia literally adopted Shuren and I, as well as one other woman, as her daughters on the very same day.” She added with a hearty laugh.
Bao: “( ? _ ? )”
A Couple Of Hours Later.
In the end, Bao was convinced of the truth, deadpanly accepting the weight of her reality being forever changed. She honestly was just happy that the System wasn’t fixed yet, as Bao couldn’t handle her daughter already being an immortal…
Bao: “Miss Celia, you’ve done so much for my Shuren… But is there anything that you can…” Her words were cut off due to shock.
Snap!
Celia: “Is this to your liking, Bao? If you need… no, want anything else, don’t fear asking me about it.” She asked with a knowing giggle.
Bao: “…” “Ah! Celia is an actual Goddess, so of course she instantly understood what I desired…” She secretly expressed in her head, tone that of complete and utter embarrassment.
Bao was older than her daughter by a large gap, the woman being in her mid 60s. Celia, without Bao finishing her yet unasked request, de-aged her, and even further enhanced her beauty. Though, not by much, as Bao could have easily been called a gilf, and no one would refute such a claim…
